I've used Virgin for over ten years and have always found their customer
service very polite, friendly and helpful. Signal is normally good,
there have been areas where i can't get signal but usually where other
networks can't get signal either. However, last time i upgraded i was
pushed into an 18 month contract & i have been putting up with a rubbish
phone ever since - Sony Ericsson X10. Can't wait for my new upgrade...which
is v soon! YaY!

When I first joined Virgin, their customer service was amazing. Recently
though, it has changed to amazingly awful. I recently called them to
find out when my 2 year contract would end; I was told what I thought
was the wrong date & when I questioned this, I was told that it was
up to me as the customer to know when the contract ended!
I had looked at their tariffs & none were cost effective anyway; I strongly
suspect they are mostly aimed at Virgin's cable customers.
Based on my experience I would recommend avoiding Virgin at all costs.

Worst signal ever for me with Virgin mobile (Newcastle Upon Tyne area).
Thankfully my contract was only for 12 months, after 10 months I was
so fed up I took out a 24 month contract with o2 and threw my last two
months of virgin's contract down the drain, so to speak. When I phoned
up to get my PAC code, they offered me various deals to try and make
me stay. They piped down pretty quickly once I told them that absoloutley
nothing they could offer me would make me stay! I could not get a signal
on or anywhere near the beach, in my bedroom, in various different shops.
Very poor.

I have been using Virgin for two of our family mobiles for many years.
IT uses T-mobile network and now also uses Orange network. I have never
had any problems and not I have even better coverage. I am Surrey based
and for anyone in this area, I would thoroughly recommend.
