Sony Ericsson
W800i Review
Phone rating:
Launched in August 2005, The Sony Ericsson W800i
is virtually the same as the D750i and K750i,
the difference being that the W800i is Sony Ericsson's first mobile
phone to be Walkman branded. The clear message is that this
is both a phone and an MP3 player.
The specification of the W800i is the same as the
K750i, except that the W800i is customised for music. There's a
one-touch music button for controlling the MP3 player, plus extra
bundled software for ripping audio tracks from CDs. The W800i also
comes with a larger memory stick for storing all those songs - 512
Mbytes may not sound a lot when compared with an iPod (or even an
iPod Mini), but it's pretty large for a phone, and is enough for
around 150 audio tracks. The memory
stick is expandable to 1 Gbyte. A quality headset is included
in the sales package, and the W800i can also be connected to an
external speaker system via an optional cable.
Apart from these changes, the W800i has all the
features of the K750i: a 2 megapixel camera
and auto-focus, a video camera, FM radio,
Bluetooth and triband. It's an excellent all-round media device
- surpassed only by the Sony Ericsson
W900i and the new Sony Ericsson
W810i.
Features
of the Sony Ericsson W800i include:
- 2 megapixel camera with autofocus, 4x digital
zoom & photo light
- Video camera & sound recorder
- Display: 262k colours, 176 x 220 pixels
- Music player
- FM radio
- 40-voice polyphonic ringtones
- Polyphonic melody composer (MusicDJ)
- Speakerphone, voice controls, voice mail
- Messaging: SMS (with predictive text), EMS,
MMS, Instant messaging, email
- Java games (embedded & downloadable)
- Animated wallpaper
- Picture editor and effects
- Personal organiser functions
- Picture phonebook
- QuickShare
- Connectivity: Bluetooth, USB, Infra-red
- WAP 2.0, GPRS
- Memory: 34 Mbytes plus 512 Mbyte Memory Stick
Duo
- Triband
- Vibration alert
- Size: 100 x 46 x 21 mm
- Weight: 99g
- Talktime: 9 hours
- Battery standby: 400 hours

Without a doubt, the best phone on the market. I work for the carphone
warehouse and lately there are some pretty impressive models kicking
about, but this just raises the bar. The design is fantastic, the
software is excellent, and the menu's/layout is great too. Camera
is brilliant, flash and effects and everything are great. Also the
video camera is amazing. MP3 player is out of this world, and you
can store so many songs on the phone. Radio is really good too!
Its like a DAB, its so fast to switch from radio stations. Also,
the response time from pressing a button is unbelievable, theres
no delay whatsoever, everything just happens. I'm amazed with this
phone, as I thought i would be. If you're a music/camera phone lover
then this is the phone to get. Doesn't it say something when its
the current best selling phone?

Outstanding, all features are implemented to a very high standard
- no qualms with any hardware. The only things missing are recurrent
appointments in Calendar, only available by synching with Outlook,
and inability to resize photos on the phone to edit them (you can
to send however) and a low SMS hold ~150. Everything else is awesome,
with cool extras like message counters and status etc.

Recently I have had the Sharp GX-30, Nokia 6230 & Motorola V3 and
I can tell you this phone is the best, by quite some way. The aesthetics,
colour, design, layout & whole scheme look great. The menu's and
general layout is brilliant - the 256,000 colour screen (compared
to 65,000 of Nokia 6230) is excellent quality. The Camera / Video
Camera are excellent quality - flash is brilliant & the shutter
is good for protecting the lense, Bluetooth is great as always,
MP3 Player (Walkman) & Radio are excellent - you can switch between
radio stations and songs and it happens so quickly, no delays or
pauses. So easy to transfer songs from computer to phone. Battery
life is brilliant for what you can do with the phone. Listening
to songs for hours, playing with the camera, texting, video recording
(while the music is still playing in the background). Loudspeaker
for music/radio is great. The software on the W800i is absolutely
amazing. Previous Sony Ericsson Phones have crashed, froze and switched
off by themselves, but the firmware upgrade on this phone elimates
it completely. Any K750i users should upgrade their phone software
to the W800i software because it will make such a a difference.
Sony Ericsson are running away with this one.

I've upgraded (?) to the W800i from the Nokia 6230 a month ago,
and although all the extra features that the W800i has been praised
for live up to my expecations, in the normal phone functions area
it is a mega step backwards from the 6230. Maybe I'm still getting
used to the new phone, but it shouldn't take a month. WHAT I LIKE
- the camera is great, especially the lens shutter is handy if you
keep your phone in your pocket. - the MP3 player is great, and for
a frequent traveller very useful to turn the rest of the phone off
on airplanes. Not quite the same as a flight mode, but a step in
the right direction. - nice size memory stick included - USB cable
included and can be used to charge phone. - the casing is made more
sturdy and you don't get dust behind the screen - good quality headset
with the option of plugging in your own, just above the mike. WHAT
I DON'T LIKE - The software package is rubbish, on the NOKIA you
can use your laptop to write text messages and send them through
your phone, the Sony E only has a few synchronisation features that
are not that userfriendly - I miss the NOKIA's single interface
with 8 or 9 options on one window. - The Navigation using the little
stick is taking a lot of getting used to, - the font size is badly
chosen as a normal length UK phone number, when coming up as a missed
call is too long to be displayed on one line, and rather than breaking
into a second line, the reamining digits flash up alternatingly.
- dito above, the calendar (I synchronise a lot from outlook) is
not as easy to read as on the 6230, the highlight/active bar on
an entry always seems to take out the top line of the next entry.
- Trying to type numbers (like phone numbers) in a text message
is really cumbersome with and without the dictionary function. It
would be great if you could just press a sequence of numbers and
the dictionary would then just offer you an "all numbers" option.
- The ear piece/speaker is too high up on the phone, and hence takes
a bit of getting used to finding the right spot, as the phone ends
just above it, surrounding noise is not blocked out. - mp3 player
doesn't play .aac files - if you take a picture, you can't zoom
into it straight away, you have to look in the saved pics section
first and then look at it. ... and that's just the list of things
that annow me so far. So I haven't got rid of my 6230, and will
probably keep carrying that along as well, it's a shame that Sony
E seemed to have spent more time getting the extra features in than
getting the basic features right.

This phone is the best ever, I have upgraded from an S700i and I'm
glad i did no more bulky phone in my pocket and no need to carry
a seperate MP3 player around. The colour does not look as bad in
real life as it does on web sites, so don't let that put you off.
I like the fact that you can charge it from your USB port. A message
for AL, if you read this, you need to add the mp3's to your playlist.
Since using my mates T610i I got the k700i followed by the s700i
and then this phone, I have used nokia, siemens, motorola, LG, NEC,

I have had this phone for one day, it is very good, it has a good
bluetooth connectivity, it has a infared port to connect to older
Mobile phones, it looks great! It has the biggest memory ever on
a Mobile phone, 512 MB, if this is not enough, you can expand it
to a maxinmum of 2gb, all you have to do is have a look on google.
The camera is exellent, it has a proper flash not a light!!! The
sound quility is superb, the only downsides are, if you have the
mp3 player on loudspeaker it eats your battery, but you can have
any headphones in the phone/walkman, so this does not come over
as a massive problem. Also the video player only records for 10
seconds, if anybody would like me to answer any Q then you can e-mail

phone you can currently buy. I've had numerous then top of the range
phones over the past 8 years. But I have to say I've never been
so impressed with a phone before as I am with this one. First, the
camera is very impressive. Pictures taken in daylight is as good
as a digital camera! Video camera recording is very clear on the
phone, but not so great on a PC. But the mp3 player is out of this
world. The quality of the music is outstanding. Sony have also supplied
very nice head-phones too. I applaud Sony for bringing out a phone

rubbish ipod-phone Motorola E1 ROKR.

I actually had it exchanged with my one day used p910i, so that
should tell us something about the phone, its easy to use, carry,
& suitable for… of course the younger generation. With its
funky color & appealing looks its serves its purpose right…
to be the “world’s first Walk Man Branded phone”.
Super camera quality, super voice quality, but of course all the
credit going to the headset, because if you connect them with k750i,
it sounds equally good. The processing speed is commendable & we
finally have a good resolution display from Sony Ericsson as well,
though I wish the screen had been a little larger. I could have
also done with a bigger joystick too, even though the tiny orange
ball makes up a little. It’s not the ideal for text messaging
but it’s not bad either. By default Sony Ericsson’s
are not as durable, dependable or user friendly than its main competitor
but than they give you more value for your money as well. It ’s
the kind of phone you would like to cover & take care off…
creamy white color is most vulnerable to getting dirty quickly &
enhances even the slightest spots on it. The design & placement
of the buttons is worth mentioning as well. However if your using
a hands free connected through wire, you won’t find any slot
to put the dying phone on charging, because they all share the same
spot, the USB Cable, the charger, the hands free or the headset.
Also if your phone is fully charged & you connect it to the computer
for data transferring, the computer will charge it again, dual charging
options is good, but not for an already completely charged phone.
Basically a k750i packed in a different colored body & with a different
keypad it’s the typical Sony Ericsson style, advantage being
the large memory & the most unique feature… it connects with
external stereo devices, either your car’s deck or your home
stereo system. You may require another connecting cable but that
is optional & the company does have that accessory available as
well. This orange jewel is a complete cell phone package for many,
even though its color scheme may not suggest its internal powerful
features or reflect its high price for that matter, but it sure
is different & catches the eye of many lookers.

Received this phone as an upgrade. Identical to the K750i except
for looks and larger memory stick. It depends what you want. This
is a great phone and just about every feature, camera, mp3 etc is
amongst the best available at the moment but I think it is definitely
for the student market. It appealed to the girls, which could be
a good thing depending on your marital status, but the blokes usually
moaned it was putting them off their pint! I have exchanged for
a 750, which with a larger memory stick will do exactly the same
job but in a slightly more subtle case. So you have one excellent,
technically superior phone in two packages and the choice is yours
whether you want hippy and funky or cool and sophisticated. I definitely
prefer the K750i but then I am old and past it now at 31!!!

I wrote a review for the W800i only a few days after getting it
and now I feel I have to write another as it is still just as amazing
as it was then, even more so. And for Paulie who was disappointed
with the video clip length, change the settings from 'picture msg'
to 'high-quality video'. The phone comes defaulted to 15-second
clips as you cannot send clips that are any longer than this. But
on the high quality setting you can record as long as you want.
I have now installed the Disc2Phone software and it works perfectly,
I've transferred several complete albums and have also bought a
1GB memory stick for even more music. These are around £60 from
E-bay and are sent from Hong Kong but they're still the real deal.
The headphones are fantastic quality too. This phone is literally
like having a mini I-pod, digital camera, camcorder and mobile phone
all in one. The video recording isn't actually fantastic quality,
my Samsung E720 recorded in MP4 format not 3GP which was much higher
quality but I really couldn't care less about that. I've never had
the need to record any videos yet, the camera is much more useful.
The auto-focus works perfectly, and with the cable supplied it is
very easy to link up to your PC and upload your photos. I've already
done this and the quality is amazing. My mum recently got married
and I took all my photos on the phone. Instead of having to faff
about getting them developed I can just print them straight off
from my PC! I cannot fault this phone at all, I usually get bored
of phones after a few weeks but I'm still totally in love with this
one and I think it will be my main phone - and the leading phone
on the market - for a very long time. The last phone I had which
I kept for so long coz it was so good was the SE K700i, which proves
that Sony Ericsson really do make the best phones. Nokia only remain
the most popular coz people are scared of change. Anyone considering
this phone should stop thinking and just buy it. I promise you won't
regret it.

owning it!! It has almost Everything I wanted (wished it had a Digital

put off SE phones after a disasterous encounter with the K300i!
This phone has the lot! The digital camera is Out of this World
omg!: Crisp, clear photo's that'll make your mum proud, you won't
want to put this down! Sony really have engineered a masterpiece,
don't bother buying an ipod, or a digital camera, this is all you
need! It's simply breathtaking, the video function is very nearly
fluid in motion, gives a decent 10-15 seconds recording time in
one go, I cannot stress how much better the quality of EVERYTHING
is compared to the K300i! The sound is mind blowing: No crackle,
no hiss, just remember to turn Mega Boost on and don't look back!
The sound is just simply PURE QUALITY! The radio is awesome too,
it sounds just about as good as a Digital one!!! The design cover
may look basic, but I've only had it for 24 hours, and already have
fallen in love with it. It is the ultimate accessory for anyone
at Uni, I'm starting next week! I love the way the mp3's name and
album are shown whenever you listen to them, the menu's feel and
look like the ipod's, the 262k colour screen really brings out the
poshness of this phone! Vodafone do an excellent deal too, with
Vodafone live, I can browse the train arrival/dep time for free,
it's really useful. The only grumbles I have about this phone are
small, but: You cannot transer mp3 music from your PC unless you
have Windows Xp!! I have ME as it's prone to less viruses, but there
is a way to manually drag and drop the mp3's into the mp3 folder.
I'm having a laptop within the next week, so It's not so bad! Also,
my box is missing a few items, such as the stereo speaker adaptor
and the headphone band that rests around your neck, so check your
box has everything before you leave the shop. Other than that, it
is a totally outstanding phone. Buy it, you won't be disappointed!

hype and publicity given before its official launch. Howewer,i not
fully impressed with what i got- the earphones which were said to
be top of the range is actually rubbish- they are kind of noisy
and come out of your ears easily. Secondly, the speaker is rubbish-
when u r on speakerphone it sounds distorted. The only good thing
about it is the 512mb memory card supplied with it.So if you are
not too forcy about having the 512mb you can go for the K750i or
the D750i which are virtually the same thing but with a 64mb memory
card but of course they,ve got a better colour and you can save

the easy music upload and download from the PC works like miracle.
It is a portable MP3 player for all practical purposes and wud give

of phones from diffrent brands. I think people are fooled by Nokia.
People think Nokia is the best. Beware. Try out Sony Ericsson. The
SE W800i is just outstanding for the following reasons: 1. 2 Megapixel
Camera (Excellent) Crystal clear 2. MP3 Player is excellent 3. Lot
of memory available to store songs 4. FM Radio works fine. 5. Headphones
are great. It just makes listening music a wonderful expirience.
6. Its small and convinient to carry. The 2 things, I got dissapointed
was 1. The keypad is hard 2. The voice is not clear of incoming
calls. The phone, I liked the most was SE P910i. But this has overtaken
that also.

than Nokia after a s[ell with a Motorola but this is a very good
'phone. Major points; Pros- Ease of use of menus. -Clarity of voice
calls in and out (it is after all a 'phone !!) -Good 2Mp camera
which turns itself on when the lens cover is opened (cf K7501) -Good
implementation of music player with option to use as music player
with 'phone switched off, for in flight entertainment I guess. -Realistic
size of memory at 34Mb and 512Mb Memory stick duo included in the
package. -Easy set up of e-mail account etc. - Good organiser with
useful 'find' function e.g type in 'Dentist' and all dentist appointments
are shown , neat. -Easy to sync and transfer files between 'phone
and Mac OS-X - Implementation of handsfree allows other headphones
than those provided via a mini jack. Works brilliantly when connected
to the AUX socket of a Hi-Fi Cons- Size is much smaller than the
7610 or my old 6310, not a problem for kids but for a 6' plus 40
something with bannana fingers I need real size buttons (manufacturers
please note ) - Browser does not support full HTML pages as with
7610, basically a colour version of the 6310s capabilities so a
disappointment. - Significant delay on shutter makes the camera
difficult to use at times (can we have a way of turning off auto
focus - this is not after all a camera for serious use !) - Hiss
on headphones in quiet passages of music etc. can be annoying. -Video
is a complete waste of time, about 10s of QCIF quality stuff so
why include it ? - Why do they have to include music by people anyone
over 30 has never heard of ? My 19 YO daughter hadn't heard of half
the artists either. (presumably Sony artists needing a plug ?) Overall
a cracking piece of kit which is obviously aimed squarely at the
under 25 market but which has enough useable features to make it
a good all round product which can act as a reasonable organiser
and multimedia device for over aged kids , as well as being a good
'phone!

and the text capabilities are high on the list of some people who
have reveiwed this phone. If you want pretty colour and good text
go and get an old Nokia brick and paint it whatever colour you want.
This phone is a great phone and it is something we have all been

is more than fine because phones wont be shipping with that much
memory again for a long time and the colour is unique which is good

Time for a change of phone from my Nokia 6230, so I went for the

TEXT CAPABILITY IS FRANKLY PATHETIC!!!! It will accept long texts,
but won't do long enough texts.I tested by writing a nonsense text
message to my wifes phone, and then did the same text back from
her Nokia and it was nearly 4 times the length (in terms of text
and spaces etc - I started with the identical words and then continued
to see how much further it would go compared to the Nokia, and as
I've only had the phone a week and a half, I have already decided
to go back to the retailler and change it for a Nokia. Sorry - wouldn't
recommend the phone that highly - I want a phone, with good text
capability, and then a camera and then an MP3 player - on this on
the texting ability is no4 on the list - not good enough.

The phone is good, but don't expect to be bowled over by the MP3
player. The MP3 player supports only MP3 tunes, and W4A (AAC) Apple
files. However, the only files that you can easily place on the
phone are MP3's as the provided transfer software supports only
MP3. That means no Napster tunes can be played on the phone. That
means no iTunes Store purchased tunes can be played on the phone.
Which pretty much sucks. There is no WMA support on the phone, so
any songs from download sites that uses Microsoft DRM and WMA (pretty
much all of them apart from iTunes) cannot be used on the Sony Ericsson
W800i. None. Even if you forget about DRM, because there is no WMA
support in the phone or the provided software, if you have ripped
your music collection in non copy protected WMA, you are still out
of luck. Neither the phone, nor the disc2phone software recognize
WMA. Sony Ericsson should have at least provided a tool that could
convert WMA and transcode it to MP3, whilst transferring the files
to the correct folder format required by the phone. Yes, the phone
also requires a specific folder structure to work properly with
your transferred files. So even drag and drop is not a viable option,
unless you like creating folder structures.... All in all, the audio
file support and provided transfer software completely sucks. The
phone however is great, and once you have persevered in getting
the music on there, the quality is fine. Just don't plan on changing
around your music on the phone too frequently if you use WMA, or
iTunes.

tracks from Cds dead easy and the memory card is pretty big at 512MB.
The snag is that the sound quality of the MP3 player is arguably
good at best. My own phone's MP3 player, a Sony P910i, sounds so

Points: I don't really think these are bad points as such, but more
of things that irritated me... can't seem to customise text viewing
size on writing a text, can't seem to customise address book view
(I used to be able to view just names in phonebbook on K700i, but
on the W800i you have to view name and number). These are just small
points and in no way would sway me from the phone. In summary, you
have 3/4 quality functions here... 1. Top quality phone 2. 2 mpxl

my way round the menu system is so easy, i have not even looked

you can assign mp3s as message tones, blutooth works very fast and
software is easy to use, the phone comes with some nice in ear phones
but if you dont like them you can always plug in your own. The radio
works a treat and sounds great, calls sound very clear, text messaging
is simple to use, ringtones are loud also mp3 player through the

with the sony memory stick. Another good fearure i like is when
you slide open the camera lens cover the camera switches on, there

in the phone book. The set up wizard is really cool and the demo
gives a good insight into the phone capabilities. The idea that
you can get an adaptor and plug all your music into your car stereo
is outstanding. On the radio it has a great setting that finds the
radios optimum signal, and its easy to flick from one channel to
the other. The earphones are comfortable, and stay in really well,
even if you jump around ha ha ha. You can turn the volume up and
down and pause the music with the keyguard on, which saves a lot
of time fiddling around. The ripping software is soooo easy to use.
Just drag and drop it. The camera has macro on it and a fantastic
zoom for such a little camera. When you transfer a well taken photo
to the pc you can really see the quality. You can easily adjust
the photo before you take it, for a lighter or darker picture. The
playlists on the walkman let you arrange music how you want them,
with or without the shuffle. The storage amount is incredible. You
can just jam everything in, it really does seem endless. Bad poins.
The writing is small and I have found there is no way of making
it any larger. You do have the option of changing the "Themes" in
file manager but you may find the initial set up is orange writing
on a multicoloured black and orange back ground. Even though the
camera is a high spec, because it is so compact, I found that the
sharpness is decreased by the increase of camera wobble. I found
this mainly due to the initial "click" of the bottom, where the
phone drops slightly. Its even worse with a case on, as the case
sits above the button, and the button is flushed with the phone.
I couldn't find out an individual setting on how to stop the horrible
"click" noise either. (You have to put your phone on silent to stop
the annoying noise) It plays the sound of a of 35mm camera winding
on for some strange reason. The size of the phone is an advantage
in every other way. The manual is very basic so you really need
to know how to set up your own email, and the new "My Friends" setting
in Messaging, or if you cant, you need to know where to look to
send all the information to your phone. On day two of owning this
phone I noticed the headphone breaking up whilst listening to music.
It was loose where the cable entered the phone :( It doesn't matter
how good the quality is if the actual connection crackles :( The
calendar doesn't have a repeating pattern on it. I work alternative
shifts and could plan my diary well in advance on my previous phone.
Also I haven't found (so far) how many internet/phone/text messages
that I have sent/used. Its always nice to know where you are with
your price plan! The radio has still be used with the headset in,
and the quality is on the tinny side. I cant use the media equalizer
with the radio or the speakers with the walkman. Its more of a walkman
than a radio for sure, so plug yourself in, its outstanding with
the headphones in. Overall. The phone is certainly worth getting.
Gone are the days when you trotted off to the corner with a couple
of two pence's in your pocket. So far I haven't seen anything close
to this phone. It does more than ring, its at the fore front of
technology. The good points out weigh the bad, and there are always
ways to get around the bad points if you know how. As this phone
is so hot on the technology front, I can see it being a huge hit.
Remember the old trusted Nokia 3330? It was well loved. I can see
the people really falling in love with the w800i, and still be hanging
on to it until there next big crush comes along... which probably
wont be for a very long time. Gadget freaks dream phone. Go on press
the button... you know you want it ;-)

I just got this phone today and it is amazing. Yes, it's very similar
to the K750i (which I also own but am now about to sell) but it
definitely beats it hands-down for looks and the quality of the
sound is the best I've ever heard. People who are expecting something
really different should stay away from this phone though - Sony
Ericsson designed it as a Walkman phone, and that is the only major
difference. It's targeted at music-lovers, as well as having a fantastic
2-megapixel camera. The menu system and features are all exactly
the same as the K750i, and also very similar to many of SE's previous
phones, but this is ultimately what makes them so successful. I've
owned umpteen Nokias and Samsungs, but when I owned my first SE,
the K700i, I was sold. And now, after having the Samsung D500, E720,
and also the Nokia 7610 and 6230, I've come back to SE. There's
nothing this phone doesn't do. The screen is crystal-clear and bright,
the photos are fantastic quality and the auto- focus works very
well. The 512mb Memory Stick is also brilliant for storing full
music tracks onto the phone. It's also very user-friendly, I've
had no problems using this handset with regards to the keypad lay-out
or buttons. The look of the phone also deserves a mention. The 'smooth-white'
is very different-looking but also very classy. This phone certainly
stands out. The camera is also finished very nicely and looks much
better than the camera on the K750i. The orange trim just finishes
the handset and adds to its unique look. In my opinion, if you love
Sony Ericsson and also want a reliable phone, then this is the phone
for you - if it falls within your price-range! Yes, it is expensive
(you're looking at £350+ for a SIM-free handset) but it's worth
every penny. It also comes with a USB cable and CD-ripping software
so you can transfer your favourite tracks onto the phone. There's
no point releasing a phone that can do the works but doesn't come
with the means to do it . Well, this phone comes with everything
you'll need - except a computer! It's like having an i-pod in a
phone, and vice-versa. I know I've only had this phone a day, but
I've never had a phone from SE that has disappointed me and I don't
expect this one to either. I really do think this phone will deliver
everything it promises to, and anyone considering buying one shouldn't
hesitate.

just got the phone today. Had the K700 before so i am use to the
lay out of the phone. The picture quality is just so much better,
and the sound quality is crystal clear. The menu and things are
abit different to nokia's but they don't take long to adjust. I
personaly think there better anyway. The phone's basically the same
as the K750, but i think the looks of it are far better, and the
fact its got the walkman branding. I'd recomend this phone to anyone.

Ok Bought this phone off Ebay for £340, This phone is basically
a k750i but a different cover! The only difference is the colour
and that You get a 1 Gig memory Stick included with the box. EVERYTHING
ELSES IS EXACTLY THE SAME! It even has the same button layout and
menu's. I had the k750i but unfortunately it got soaked so i bought
this as it was newer and because i liked the k750i. I was horrified
to realise it was the same! Good Points - 2M Camera -Massive memory
-Easy menu's -Exactly the same as the k750i Bad points -Exactly
the same as the K750I If u are going to get this phone get a K750I
instead they are 100% identical in everyway. Just buy a bigger memory

I got this phone on 10th of August. I liked this phone. The phone
doesnt looks that much cost but its options are very good. Its MP3
player is excellent. It is having a very good clarity than a walkman.
As its a sony walkman its clarity is very good. Using ear phones
for listening music is very good. It is having a very good clarity.
I liked this one very much.

I have had the w800i for one week and is pleasure all the way. Very
happy with the great quality phone cam, however the so called auto
focus thing gets a bit annoying at times. It goes all blurry for
2 sec. pretending to find focus before you can take your pict. Causing
delay. But is great at social gatherings and equally great to use
at work. With its 2GB MSDuo, some digital cameras can't even compare.
I have also had so much pleasure with the excellent mp3 player.
The sound quality is good enough to be honoured with the name 'Walkman'
which is the first time ever a phone is given this name by SONY.
And we all know what a great invention 'Walkman' is. Any of you
thinking about buying an mp3 player out there, you can forget it
and save your money by getting the w800i instead. When paired with
the 'in-ear' headphone.... you really loose yourself with music
on your way to work in the morning. The radio AF auto tracking is
one clever, delightful feature (not sure if they have the same in
K750i). I have used T610, K700i, S700i and now w800i. Sony Ericsson
people have really improved their phone software (firmware, whatever)
writing. Just when I thought S700i was the ultimate, here comes
w800i. Shame that they introduced the K750i in between making my
S700i trade in price 50 quid cheaper. Otherwise, I have no complain
whatsoever. By the way, I have heard many complaints from friends
with new Nokia phones recently. So watch out.
