The Sony Ericsson T610 is a sophisticated phone incorporating a built-in camera, Bluetooth™ wireless technology, a large colour screen and a new graphical user interface.

The T610 is beautifully designed and built, with a square retro-feel and anodised aluminium case; it's a phone that feels good in the hand and seems to be solidly built. The panels are changeable, so you can choose the colour of the phone.

The integrated camera can be activated in one click, with one more click to take a picture. Sony Ericsson's new QuickShare™ technology enables you to easily share pictures with your PC or other phones, using Bluetooth™, email, MMS or data cable. Sony Ericsson's free Image Editor software lets you edit photos taken using the phone. You can also download software to help you create your own Muiltimedia Messages (follow the same link).

The high-resolution screen is of high quality, with 65,000 colours and plenty of space for the new graphical user interface, making the advanced features of the phone easily accesible. Great for use with the camera and for WAP browsing, although the screen can be difficult to read in sunlight. Soft keys and menu hotlinks also help to make the phone user-friendly - a key consideration in a phone that packs in so many features. Animated icons help to bring the menu to life.

The T610 includes a set of embedded games, and you can download more games using the Java and Mophun platforms. The Entertainment menu includes links to gaming websites, so that you can easily download more games. With 65,000 colours and a joystick, the T610 makes a great gaming platform.

Accessories available for the T610 include Bluetooth headsets, Bluetooth car kits and Bluetooth media viewers. The media viewer plugs into a TV and lets you display photos and other images from your T610 on the TV screen. You can also use it to play MP3 files using the TV's loudspeakers.

The T610 has now been replaced by the newer T630 and K700i, which outclass the T610 in a number of significant ways.

At my line of work, I get to handle a lot of work. I received the T610 & after working with it for half an hour I wanted to break it in anger. Ok, so it supports most current high-end phone features, but the user interface is absolutely TERRIBLE!!! - Each menu requires a different soft key press - you just don't know what to press when. - In order to define a new wap connection I had to access 3 different setting menus In conclusion: Don't buy it, go for the outstanding GX20

I loved this phone at first sight. Since it was free with on year contract in USA. I got it. However, I don't like it after I stuck with one-year contract. The phone has all kinds of functions but ... 1. Pictures are fuzzy. Compare to Samsung E715, t610 pic quality is very poor. 2. Ring tone is lower. My husband can't even hear it outside. He can't feel the vibration either. Samsung provides the best clear ring tones. 3. Dim screen under the sun (day-light). Poor display 4. key-lock not functional. Easy to connect by accident. 5. Weak receiptions: in the same room, all my other friends can make/receive calls except me with the tiny T610. Only one feature I will give 5 stars is its battery time. It standby almost 5 days. Maybe it's because of its dim screen and poor display pixels.

why waste ur money on this wen the sharp gx20 is out? sur e it costs more but if ur gonna buy a decent camera phone u mite aswell get the best one - jeez!

I was a little disappointed with this phone: 1) camera quality wasn't as good as i thought. It is very dark. 2) Not many options entertainment-wise. After playing with it for about 2 minuites, i got bored. 3) I have heard of a lot of people's signals being bad in major city centre's, which concerns me. 4) Quality of the games were disappointing. although.... it does have some very good features- the bluetooth feature ont his phone is outstanding, and no complaints about the screen resolution. good phone if you want to show off, looks very impressive.

Lots of neat gadgets for the gadget freak but serious drawbacks as a useable day to day phone. A lovely neat and compact handset with large screen for such a small phone but key size is difficult unless you have small hands. You need to concentrate and look at the key pad to avoid mistakes, still have to do that after 3 months unlike most of the "normal" size Nokias I have used which I can touch type after a few days. Reading the screen is, as others have said, almost impossible in strong light making the phone almost useless. Txting is without doubt slower than Nokia and requires more key strokes to send the same message. The fixed assending ringtones can result in missed calls but using the "Old Phone" bell ringtone does help you pick out your phone ring from background noise and I have found the vibrate works ok if it is in a pocket that is next to my skin (shirt ok, jacket not ok). The case still looks fresh and has stood up to the daily knocks well and battery life on me dium use has been acceptable but would require charge every couple of days for harder use. Reception on Orange seems to be about the same as others. I find the phone hard to use in the car, mostly because of the difficult to read screen and the need to see everything you do on the screen for confirmation to get mistake free connections. The camera is not a patch on the Panasonic GD87 or Sagem and Sharp phones that I have compared it with, any movement and lower light situations show up its weaknesses dramatically. Its a waste of time for taking photo`s of your mates in the pub for example! So, dont buy it for ease of use if you want to do lots of txting or make quick easy calls, dont buy it for the camera, you will be disapointed. However it has been reliable, has good gadgets and conectivity, is compact and looks good in a classic scandinavian "hi fi" kind of way, which is what you would expect I suppose when you cross Sony with Ericsson!

I think that all you people who give 1 stars are just other companys jealous about how your phones suck, this phone is the best phone ive seen, even out of expensive flip phones! It has everythign anyone could every want, plus a cornocopia (fancy!) of features i couldnt even use!

This is not a Nokia! I have always been a nokia fan for there ease of use, but to compare this phone with a Nokia would be unfair. The phone is simple to use, infact too simple, if like me you have always had Nokia's you will need to get used to using the # button for space not the normal 0 button when texting. The menu system is very good, again it takes a bit of time to adjust to the way it works. Persevre, its worth it. Picture MMS is easy, calling is easy, the ring tunes are good, I like the DJ function alot, it a good way to waste away hours bored at work. SMS tying is not as fast as the Nokia, i will look into a external keypad for the longer texting sessions. Only bit of advice is to put the phone on a desk and use both hands to push the slightly too small buttons. To sum it up, its like buying a new car where the indicator and wiper arms are oposite to what you had before, you will get used to it!! Get one, you're love it!!!

I've had the phone a few weeks now, my last phone being a work issued Nokia 6310i (a great work horse albeit large and heavy). T610 PLUS POINTS then: Great feel, very user freindly, good screen quality (indoors), light but strong, small but not awkward, good voice clarity and has good voice dialling options. On the DOWN SIDE: camer quality is poor compared to others I have seen (check out SAGEM's camera phone quality honestly!), screen difficult to see when you are outside in daylight, not many in built ringtones, Battery life poor and a phone of this specification should have a speaker built in I think. Overall though it beats most of the competion particularly if you are after a small phone with bluetooth and camera. Nokia seems to be aiming for the youth market too much with overstyled phones, the T610 is stylish and discreet but fool of features even for the business user.

ok after having this phone for 8 days I feel i can write another review which will be useful for people considering buying this phone. This phone is the bees knees compared 2 all the other phones on the market, if it wasnt for this site i wouldnt have bought this either, i was considering a v200 but after reading the reviews here i decided to settle with this beauty. the photos are great, the people who complain just dont know how to take a picture!!!!!! In my school i constantly have people who i dont know asking to look at my phone and boy can i say i love showing it off. i love being able to chose between taking a small or large photo cause i take large for my picture album but i use small ones to send to my mates who own a t68i and a 7250. buy this phone on orange as the other networks dont give good enough reception in wales. I have to say after having this phone i will never doubt sony ericsson again, im trying to persuade my sister to buy ne as well!!! i love being able to send pictures to people and the music dj. lets say i like techno music!!!! I cant fault this phone on anything. i am worried about the screen though cause im not sure if i can replace the screen on it! i know my mum who is on a contract phone is eyeing my mobile up... she is waiting to upgrade to a better phone and i have a feeling it will be this one! one thing though the screen needs to be wiped every hour or two.. i kinda keep smudging finger marks on the screeen so i take the cleaning cloth with me wherever i go as it is so useful!!!!! trust me if you ned a phone dont waste your money on a plastic nokia or a sagem or even a samsung caus on the v2000 the games are awful... who wants to play with a tamigotchi anyway? oh if possible could anyone tell me in the box what was in the little polythene bag? i thihnk it was a mirror clip or something... i want to know what it does!!!!

I love this phone, i've had it for quite a long time now, still no faults! However I do not recommend getting the T610 on vodafone as they put a network lock on, and put their logo everywhere. Also it is really hard to find free games for the T610, so I found a cool site, http://marv.4mg.com !.

I used to call myself a Nokia after owning 13 Nokias. I'm a business man and the phone is one of my most important tools after my Ipaq. I was looking for a good small Nokia Business phone but apparently the New Nokia models are big in size and dont suit my age or proffesion. Although I was against getting an Ericsson I went for the T610. Main reason I wanted Bluetooth so I could hook up my Ipaq on the internet for emails. What can I say... Very impressed. Nice smart looking phone with many functions. The only downside is the battery. It needs recharging every 1-2 days. Seems that Ericsson has moved on. The only way for me to buy another Nokia phone is if they manage to come out with something smaller and to be a business tool besides the 9210i which is good but has a size of a brick.

The T610 (Vodafone release) works great Im with Telstra and Vodafone and works great on both networks voice clarity is good and reception is better than my previous Nokias 5110,3210,3310,3315 and 8210 Slightly out performs my Motorola T720 in screen, connectivity and overall performance Battery for me lasts over 3-4 days standyby. One draw back is not enough memory to store more than 12 pics with games and does intermittently freeze up. Well done Sony Ericsson you have inally released a good product hopefully the new Z600 will be even better!

Well i cant actually sat what i think of this fone yet as mine is due to come in bout 4 days! but from what i have heard from people i work with is that its a brillia, stylish, easy to use fone! ill keep you updated though when i get it in the next few days!

The Sony Ericsson T610 - the latest offering from Sony Ericsson incorporating an integrated digital camera, bluetooth technology and excellent polyphonic ringtones to name but a few! The appearance of the handset initially turned me off, however I have grown to love the sophisticated styling of black verses silver. The 65k colour screen is impressive, beating the Nokia 4096 screens down to the ground! The software (touch wood) has been reliable so far, and the WAP over GPRS is unfaultable. The camera quality is unrivalled and is almost 'digital quality'. Although the black casing is subject to smears and fingermarks, the design is also unfaultable. My advice - Samsung are poorly build, Nokia are living in the dark ages and Sony Ericsson need to be watched closely - I predict a domination! Well done Sony Ericsson - an excellent product.

I bought this phone nearly three months ago. I had wanted it for ages, because of its original looks, camera, themes and just because it was much better than my rubbish Siemens M50 :) I don't really regret it. I love the themes and being able to make your own, all downloadable polyphonics and MMS pics work on it, it has bluetooth, IR, mophun (great games if you can get hold of any) and I do like the camera even if it is a little rubbish. I bought the flash attachment which is really just an extra gadget, I wouldn't buy it if you expect it to be really good. It makes a very bright torch, does stroboscope and lets you do SOS, haha. In terms of taking pics in the dark, you have to be pretty close to the person, but it does take the picture. Just expect a black background if its pitch dark! I am glad I didn't buy it on vodafone, because they change all the menus and its horrible. I got mine sim free, and I am still amazed at the picture quality. Okay with some themes it makes the menu icons look a little blurred, but with my matrix theme they look crystal clear for some reason. Wap is always fast as long as the network is working okay. Don't slate the phone because the signal is poor. You think thats the phone's fault well think again its your NETWORK. I always get full bars usually anyway on o2 where I live. Overall I love the phone except its not very good for games. Texting is okay but you do have to get used to it. The little faces u can add in that come out on other SE's are quite cool just as an extra feature. I have unfortunately stratched my screen a little now, it does damage quite easy especially the silver bit of casing, I would recommend getting a case which is what I'll do when I get some money!!! I thought this morning I wish I bought a 3650 or something but lets face it that phone hardly looks cool does it!

great gadgety phone..takes some time to get used too but then its cool. i got my g/f one also and she wont put it down..only annoying thing is the rising ring tone meaning you sometimes miss a call..apart from that..Get one!!

i am sorry to say that my t610 sonyericsson is not functioning properly. Though it looks smart and attractive but I have been putting it in its box for atleast two weeks because it gets on and shows profile name but after 35 seconds, its switches off automatically.I am unable to listen to any one as wel I have no choice to keep it with me as it has stopped working.It is not dropped now been misused because it always remained with me. Is there anyone to assist me, as how can I use it again. In either case, I would be constrained to through it away in the dust bin. Mian Arif waiting for a message from any wel wisher.

ok i just bought this phone 2day.. well i didnt really it was an early xmas pressie. i used to have a nokia 3310 which at the end of the day aint a very hitech phone but it is reliable. i dont see why people complian about this work of art! im pretty sure you canget new cases cause they sell them on ebay.co.uk ok so the camera quality isnt 3 million pixels i mean big deal this is a great phone, well worth the money and i have had many compliments about it too! the joystick takes some getting useful but no biggie there. the screen is great, no probs in light at all. the music creator thing is class, the java is useful and basicly an all round excellent phone. why people are complaining about the signal is beyond me. i had this one on orange and have had no problems. 1 nice touch would have been if you could write a welcome note but it isnt that big a deal anyway. buy this phone!!!!!!

i hope there was a no star option,i fell in love with this phone's looks but when i started using it it was a nightmare. if you are considering getting it this is what you will get 1 awful reception 2 you wont be able to listen to your phone ring because the phone wont ring loud enough and you will miss all your calls 3 you wont be able to personalize your sms tones 4 you will get this message a lot' emergency calls only' good points well it looks great and it is small but thats not enough of a reason to buy this piece of cr#p.... steer away get a nokia,a panasonic ,any other brand , i will get mine replaced

I wish people would stop blaiming the phone for bad network signal. IT IS THE OPERATOR'S FAULT NOT THE FONE'S AND THAT GOES FOR ALL OTHER FONES TOO.

Comfortable the best all-round phone currently available, IMO. Connectivity is the best - adding Java games or ringtones via IR just works (unlike friends' Nokias - 4 voice polyphonic DUH!), Bluetooth - best implementation bar none. Battery life is fine - mine is on 24/7, bluetooth >12 hours per day and I usually get over 4 days, including playing games, texting, BT headset use etc. My old phone lasted longer, but did less. Games - utterly cool! I have 30+ games, downloaded free, inc Mophun ones and the quality is great for 5-minute tube plays. I have my AGB for serious mobile playing, thx Ngage ;) Useability is fantastic. Once you lose your Nokia preconceptions, the menu system is far better and very quick. Great for Bluejacking too :D Customisation - themes, easy to create, great ringtones (just add midi files) - so much fun. Who wants a tool when you can have a toy that works as a too too!? Re what people have said negatively: 1 - Ring volume. Edit your midi files on PC to increase the volume if you like. Downloadable Mission Impossible has a really loud ring to start :) 2 - Screen hard to read in the sun. Yes it is. That's why it gets 4 stars not 5. Crap on the beach (adjective not imperative) 3 - Battery life. I have no problem, but it has got steadily better over the 2 months I have had it. Maybe some reports are from new users. 4 - Reception. I have no major problems, despite living with *lots* of tall buildings around, except when the signal is very weak. My sister's Nokia 6310 is worse, but in general Nokias do have a better rep here. I had a 3 phone, and that was just a toy - it couldn't do phone calls, and they wanted to pump cash out of you if you wanted to play. T610 has more games, is constant fun and actually works as a phone. Firmly recommended.

In a word - RUBBISH! The joystick control seems very flimsy, texting is just SO laborious! Why do you have to change the font size EVERY time you use it?? The buttons are just far to small, OK for dainty little girl fingers but totally impractical for us normal sized blokes! The vibrating alert jus can't be felt, the games are useless, the camera quality is poor - need I go on? Take my advice, by something else - ANYTHING else!!

Look wise, this phone's great. Functionality wise, I find it seriously lacking. It could had been a so much better phone. Had been a nokia user for the past few years. Nokia Menu and navigation is so much better than this phone. One thing i find it terrible disappointing is the software that comes together with the phone. Nokia's phone's so much better. (Don't tell me about additional software u can get from christersson.org, the software that comes with it SUCKS.) 1. I can't backup my settings on the phone to computer. 2. I can't backup my sms on the computer, clear the one on the phone to free more space. (Basically, no SMS maintainanace through PC, unlike Nokia Suit). 3. The phonebook software need outlook, the one that dun need is so seriously lacking in features compared to nokia phone. 4. SLOW... the phone is extremely slow. Cancelling a call is slow, navigating, scrolling through the meu is slow, etc. Have problem scolling through and selecting items. Now what i do is to scroll down 3 times, select, scoll down 1 time, select. Then wait there for 2 secs , looking at the cursor actually SCROLLING down what i had keyed in 1 sec ago, then finally what i want comes up.) 5. Without bluetooth on ur pc, it's extremely hard to do phone maintainance using ir connection. can't move pic, can't delete sms, can't move sounds, can't do a lot of things. Sumarising again, Phone look great, but the usage and the accompany software sucks great time. Maybe i have a too big expectation from Sony Ericsson. If i have the same expectation from them as i had from Alcateh, maybe i'll find their T610 FANTASTIC ! But coming from Sony Ericsson, i'ld say it SUCKS BIG Time.

Don't get me wrong, I luv this phone, however there are a few problems with it, the most irritating for me is that it has problems switching on about 30% of the time. Screen is no good in day light and the memory could do with being larger, so that more photos can be stored. Apart from these little niggles its great!!!!!

T610: After 10 hours charging, battery doesn't last more than 6 hours. BlueTooth headset doesn't stand 2 hours IN STAND BY, it crashes as you try to SMS, swap from messaging to SETTINGS, crash and shut down without any reason and all data is lost, including GPRS settings. SonyEricsson folks told me that "their policy" (that NO ONE KNOWS before opening the box) is "to send for REPAIR" (imagine, a BROKEN product in the box) for A TRIP AROUND EUROPE. In short, you pay HELL of CASH for a buggy product believing that you got the cutting edge tool and they can't afford to REPLACE it in guarantee, leaving the customer WEEKS WITHOUT ITS PHONE. Useless to discuss with them after your money went away on their pockets. No wonder NOKIA is the leader, Ericsson was saved from bankruptcy by Sony and now all got even worst. Laws of nature will make its job, no firm making such bad products and policies can survive the competition.

On the plus side: it's an ok fairly attractive slightly-confusing-at-first phone. On the negative side: the Java performance is terrible. If you have any interest in games, get a different phone. It looks like it should be good, but there are serious speed limitations and a poor java implementation. Not important to everyone perhaps, but a big disappointment from a phone that could have been so much more

I just received my phone from Orangewave Wireless and the phone is outstanding! Canada will be carrying SE T616 which is a slightly different band than T610. Camera in the phone works great and the resolution, clarity and design of the phone deserves an applause. Great job Sony Ericsson.

i find this phone to be excellent, Yeah it can be hard to see in the sunshine but thats all......the wap is really fast and i had no probs browsing or downloading and the sound is excellent. There are many functions on this phone and it has an excellent reception.the interface is really easy to use and it responds quick. The night mode on the camera is a bit of a gimmick and is a bit grainy but the normal function of the camera is very good and takes clear pictures.The display is well set out and the resoloution is sharp and large and you get 5 games installed on the phone.I have no favourites when it comes to brands and i brought this phone for the screen size but i have been very happy with my choice.

I could,nt wait to get my new T610 charged up and Running and thats when the trouble started . The thing constantly crashed on me . I,d only had it 4days it it had crashed 3 times . I needed to take the battery out and put it back again to get it up and running . The final straw came when it would,nt start at all . I got it replaced onlt to find problems with the 2nd one . This time i found out that nobody could contact me .When anyone rang me they were told to redial as they could not be connected.I could ring out and send texts but could,nt receive either ,so this ones going back and i,ll probably ask for my money back which is a shame because it has a fantastic range of features and i don,t know what i could replace it with---i,m now confused.

Not happy with this phone. Texting is a nightmare - far too slow. Camera is just slightly better than the Nokia 7250, which is bad. No loudspeaker either. For pictures, Sharp Gx-20 in a class of its own and for texting, any Nokia. Forget this one, I would.

What a great piece of kit. It's purely a matter of taste, but if you're into neat design, this does the trick. My wife hates gadgets, but she took to this phone in seconds. She even showed me features that I didn't realise it had. Between the Sagem MyX6 and T610, Sagem gets full marks for having a great screen and great camera. However, it's one Frence design that leaves me cold. The T610 has a poorer screen, fewer ring tones, and poorer camera, but without the need for the instruction booklet, I was sending pictures in seconds. I give this phone 5 stars as I got it as a free upgrade, so a freeby, it's a winner.

i have a t610 after a nokia 3210 , 8210 , 7210 , 7250 , 7250i , 3650 and a 3650 , the t610 has no problems at all the only thing that makes it a little anoying is if i drop it and it scratches i am unsure if a new case is a valiable can someone tell me PLEASE apart from that excellent screen , very very ggood polyphics and take it from someone who;s fone is life if u want a good phone go the t610 screw the nokias they are messed up i had to take them all back at least once each

I had to choose between Nokia 7250i and Sony Ericsson T610 Red. Well, I chose SE T610 for the following reasons: 1. SE T610 have a quality of 65,536 color while Nokia 7250i only have 4096. 2. Nokia 7250i plastic casing doesn't compare with the sturdier aluminum casing Sony Ericsson T610. SE T610 design looks simple and yet smart looking. 3. SE T610 have a bigger screen than Nokia 7250i and SE T610 looks more like fun and entertaining. 4. SE T610 text messaging is just as easy as Nokia 7250i. 5. Bluetooth available with SE T610. I'm not worried about reception as that depends on your service provider. No phones are perfect and SE T610 screen tends to smudge but that's why the package comes with a cleaning cloth. There's a solution to that however. I got a leather casing and it looks really good. SE T610 pretty much got everything what I need. For some people who says that the phone is slow at times when navigating, well, just like a PC, if it's running out of memory... start deleting stuff you don't need. That also applies with SE T610. Avoid the SE T610 Vodafone version as they tweaked the phone's firmware horribly. Overall, Sony Ericsson T610 is the best phone out there for its value. Thank you Sony Ericsson.

I've had this phone for a week and it's great! On the down side: 1 to 2 days battery life, BUT very consistent: it does not cut out in the middle of a call while the battery still shows adequate life, unlike some of my previous phones. Poorly visible display in direct sunlight, but definitely usable! Some things take more steps to do and getting used to like texting. On the up side: Wonderful OS (stable, very logical and fast enough), MAC compatibility, great looks, great features (Bluetooth works perfectly with my Nokia headset, and Tri-band) Old phone ring tone: I've been hoping for this traditional sound even before poly-ring tones were ever born! After my first phone I vowed never ever again an Ericsson, but how great self-betrayal was this time...

Simply the most stylish set out there. I was toying between Sagem myx6, which itself has a phenomenal screen, but the feel of the T610 was right (and still better than my Samsing T100. The screen is inferior to the Sagem myx6, but the jog control and keypad make up for that. T610 is a massive quality improvement on the plasticky T68i. I cannot complain about any aspect of the T610 as it cost me £0.00. Bluetooth? I need a data cable as my laptop ain't that good. In balance T610 does everything, with no major let downs. Most other phones have major drawbacks, Nokia's are bland, Samsung have poor menus, Motorola also (apparently) are difficult to navigate through etc. Also, I'm amazed at the number of people who complained on this site about the T610, but on careful inspection of the instruction manual would have probably answered some of the impatient users out there. Nevertheless, all good reading.

For those of you that have given this phone a bad review, then try the phone again - or failing that, get a life! I've had the phone for 2 days now and all I can say is WOW! Excellent little phone on all counts - intuitive, sexy, great colour screen, loads of photos, schemes, excellent sound quality, downloads - the list goes on. You can save loads of SMS messages and compose SMS templates etc... Included in the SMS service is the addition of 'smileys' that you can send to other T610s and, I guess, other like minded phones. Those of you that are complaining about the screen resolution in sunlight should try looking again - admittedly it's not brilliant but give the phone a break. The phone has thousands of colours to cope with and you can still see the screen and send SMSs - unless of course you are blind!!! The polyphonic ring tones are fabby - very good sound quality. You can EASILY download/upload pictures, sounds etc... from PC/Mac to your phone. You can either b uy a USB cable (doesn't work with SOME laptops, a serial cable or use a USB bluetooth adaptor) - the latter in my mind is the best option as there are no wires etc... and you don't have to download any specific software, just send items via bluetooth. If you like 'gadgety' phones, then get this one - it's BRILL for just using as a phone and for doing so much more - a great little toy! My partner, who admits himself is not particularly gadgety, has just bought one today because I have one and I am guessing he thought mine was quite cool. If you want a phone that's sexy, robust, fun etc..., go and BUY THIS PHONE, that is, if you can find one! They're very hard to come by at the moment because they're so hot!!!! WELL DONE SONY ERICSSON - another great phone!

I noticed meny guys here who fuss about 7250i and compare it to this phone. This made me write this review. Firstly - you Nokia bozos who wrote that stuff - how many phones you actually purchased in your life? I've had over 70 phones (with all available accessories - not as you did through providers to get away cheap!) I've had literally ALL good phones there were and this IS one of the best so far. Spare me of the nonsense about 7250i - just another Nokia, only with a camera. It has a LARGE price tag, simple menus (for guys with smaller IQ so they wouldn't get lost!), typical selection features and obnoxious design. SMS is, indeed, better solved in Nokia but you can have a phone for SMS, why not? T610 is a finely designed, sleek and elegant looking phone which is an outstanding feature in todays era of clumsy-to-awful-looking cell phones. It has excellent polyphone ringtones, excellent display (especially for the price) and far to many cool features such as Bluetooth, IR, GPRS, WAP push, synchronization, assigning images to contacts, etc ... Software support is outstanding for this phone, therefore it is easy to find a suitable PC-cellphone communication suite and daily (as I find irresistible to do) change: wallpapers, ringtones, themes or add new sms that I type on my laptop to my phone. All via that "bad" Bluetooth!!! I currently have over 900 melodies for my phone saved on my laptop and, frankly, Nokia can go drop dead as far as I am concerned. BTW, I had 6510, 6100 and 7250i this year and just before I've purchased T610. This phone has its downside in terms of a slow menu or different way to use it (joystick, etc) and the camera is fairly average but it is not purchased for precision photo taking anyway. The only actual problem is that the phone shell is sleek and is easily stained as well as not possible to replace. I hope there will be a response by SE regarding this issue. All in all, it is a very good phone regardless of what Nokia freaks and I recommend it to users who require a cool, sleek and elegant phone with a range of impressive features and NOT recommend it to Nokia freaks or massive SMS-ers!

Better than my previous phone (T68i). It's basically a fixed t68i with a camera and a new case. However, please be aware it can crash under certain scenarios. Other than that, good all round handset.

I've noticed a lot of people complaining about the display on the Ericsson T610 when using it in sunlight. Well, I thought I would share some insider info with the users. I am somewhat associated with Ericsson (although not in the mobile phone division, so please don't take it out on me). Anyway, I remember when this phone was still unavailable to the general public. I spoke with someone who was at Sony Ericsson on contract. Turns out that Sony Ericsson originally planned on implementing a feature that would improve the display in sunlight. However, some manager objected and they didn't. The astonishing thing is that this feature (basically a different display) could have been implemented at really no additional cost. Nevertheless, having said this. I think the phone's o.k. However, I use a T68i and I'm pretty happy with it, although it's slowly dying and I think I might have to start looking for something else.

Hmm. A tough one because it is a good phone, very gadgety and has almost everything you could ask for. However... If you are a die-hard nokia fan, and thinking of switching over, I wouldn't bother. It's very small niggly things that make me think, 'this just isnt quite nokia' - such as the text messaging, which is ok but not as easy as nokia, and you can't store as many as you can in say, the nokia 8310. Also the thing that most annoyed me is that the words take a couple of seconds to appear on the page (compare to a very slow computer), so if you are a fast texter it may frustrate you if you make a mistake cos you have to correct it when you've half finished the message. Picture quality is ok for a phone, but not great if you're going to be taking photos at night. Everything on this phone is too slow, it takes a couple of seconds for each thing to load. And the screensaver/black screen is quite frankly annoying because if you want to just look at the phone, eg to see if you have a text message, you can't just glance at it. Shape-wise, for me it is a bit too rectangular - i prefer the curved round edges of nokia. Also quite importantly, is that the battery doesn't last that long - only a couple of days - i think if you play with the phone a lot, and the camera etc it runs the battery down more. Sounds insignificant but the screen gets really dirty and fingerprinty. On the plus side, there is a great picture selection, ringtones aren't amazing but you can download more. And the music DJ is great fun, you can create your own tune down to the last drumbeat. There are a lot of games but i think they could have done better with those - Deep Abyss, for example, is unbearably slow. Still, the 'joystick' idea is good, so navigating the phone is quite easy. All in all, i think it is a good phone, and you're never going to find a phone that is perfect. But if you love nokia i would stick with that.

After being a total Ericsson addict for 10 years I drowned my T68 byt accident and swaped it for the T610. What a mistake to make! The ringtone is fixed to progreesively increase and cannot be changed due to SonyEricssons concern over being sued by accidentally deafened people ????? The consequence of this is that if you are in anything but a quiet environment you do not hear the phone ring until about the 3rd ring by the time you fish it out of your pocket either the caller has given up or the answer macine cuts in. Polyphonic ringtones are good but sometimes you just need a decent mono tone for day-to-day use and you cant use them. If you have a corporate firmwared phone such as Vodafone then you are really stuck with Vodafone live for the default WAP site as you have to connect to Live first and so much for the T610 is still unavailable. Of course you can get the phone flashed by SonyEricsson but beware you dont need to send the phone back to them mine did and I have been told the turnaround time will be about 2 months !!! (so much for my 12 month contract) All in all I must say that it is a very pretty toy phone and it does look nice the camera is easy to use but it is not a serious phone for anyone who needs a "workhorse" for evryday use. At the moment I am back using my T68 it has a couple of faulty keys and it looks a fair bit battered and the Infrared has stopped working but it is still better than the T610

this phone is exellent minus two major flaws..screen is difficult to see in bright sunlight and ringtones which eventually are pretty loud..start off low which can sometimes make u miss incoming calls..apart from these two flaws the phone is superb completly user friendly and most of all fun to use pictures are v good provided u are in a bright area..if not there is night option..overall v good

This phone is the Great after the complete let down of the last phone,I had Siemans SL55 (What a Dog!).This is the replacement I have not had it long but, I'm all ready in love! Never had an Ericsson before as I have always been a Nokia fan but this has all the best bits, of all the top phones put together and and you would need It is well built and it come with a data pc suite, so all you need is a data cable and pc and you can add any tune from any source you like to make your own ring tones i.e. from Cd, Mp3 ect, and that also goes for your wallpaper too how cool is that, so you will never be stuck for a ring tone or new wallpaper on your phone again, and you can be the envy of all your friends when they say where did you get that ring tone from, If you do not have a pc you can be creative and make your own different, ring tones using the phone own mix Dj there are pre-stored clips you can put, together to make up tunes for ring tones what more do you need?

Poor phone... i've tried by two days and i've changed by the excelent Nokia 7250i. The black plastic around the display is too fragile and you can't keep them clean... The Menus are too slows comparing with Nokia 7250i, anda the camera quality is not too good like Nokia 7250i. The captation of signal from network operator is too poor.. in my place, SE T610 only gets 3 ou 4 bars of signal (in possible 5 or 6, i've just can't remember, because i had the phone only 2 days).. my Nokia 7250i has all 7 bars.. SE T610 has some old menus like my old Ericsson in the time when i changed to Nokia... Dont´buy! It Sucks.

this is a very good phone, but wait for the NOKIA 3660 - 3650 wit a re-arranged keypad, or a NOKIA 6600 - like the SE T610 but much much better. you'll find they solve all the problems of the T610. the NOKIA 7600 also looks fantastic - like seimens SL55 but nicer. T610 is good - cheap, but frankly, there are much better phones out there.

Fancy screen don't cut no mustard. Sweet phone. Impressive hardware technology but let down by poor software. This seems to be Sony's achilles heel in that they are making phone which too much showroom appeal yet they fail to really deliver benefits in use. In this case the handset is chock-full of multmedia features but the phonebook is limited. It even have the phonebook notepad features of phones as venerable as the near-obsolete 8310. Also the chimes and tones of this handset are annoying. Of course the screen delays (for useless graphical motifs often) are unwanted. Nope. This is not a phone I am going to recommend.

It's slick but doesn't really do what I need it to: 1) Rings not loud enough to be heard in public places 2) No need for only polyphonic ring tones 3) Vibrate not strong enough to alert my attention 4) Can't read screen in sunlight 5) Can't read SMS text - too small - and no facility like the T39 to increase font size 6) Photo resolution at 352 x 288 too small to be used off the camera - why not 640 x 480 todays' minimum?7) No status information about remaining standby and talk time. I don't find it slow as some others have done. But I am disappointed and thinking of passing it on to someone and going back to my T39 which works brilliantly = as a phone!

T610 is a great little phone. One of the smallest phones you will find, with one of the biggest screens! True it may not be the best screen in bright sunlight, but it is possible to send texts outside even in the sunshine. The camera is fine for capturing a moment and sharing it with your friends. The interface, games and themes are fantastic, its like having a little computer in your pocket. The bluetooth is a really useful feature for syncing all you contacts and calendar appointments with your Mac, no software is needed, just add the phone using Bluetooth Setup Assistant and it will work. A great step up from a T68i and Nokia don't seem to have anything to touch it.

I just don´t give this phone 5 stars because of is bluetooth that simply doesn´t work well with any, yes any bluetooth headset from Sonyericsson!!! If you do not pretend to use bluetooth headset, well then this is one of the best phones around,very easy and intuitive to use, amazing colours and good pictures if you have one recent T610(made from week 27 forward this year 2003)!

Ignore the reviews of people that bought this phone as a "tool". Go buy a Motorola and stop complaining! This phone is great for the gadget junkie, so what if the screen is hard to see in sunlight, what TFT screen is???? This is the leader of the pack when it comes to Camera phones, not as childish as a Nokia, cooler than a panasonic, what more do you need? I had a SE T68i, which lasted me a great 14 months before I upgraded, I've had this 2 months and its in a different league! Before that I had several Nokias and got fed up with taking them back after repeating software crashes, this phone will be the beginning of the end for Nokia.............

(FOLLOW UP REVIEW) Now had phone for 3 weeks and i can safely say whatever handset i have next - won't be another Sony Ericsson. This phone really is poor if you consider how long SE have had to iron the bugs out since the release of the T68i (which is pretty much the same phone without camera, 65K screen and polys). Two of the major faults that i previously listed in my earlier review just can not be ignored. The screen, while perfect clarity under the correct conditions, is fluffing useless (and i don't care what SE tree huggers are saying). Worse than useless, its worthless. And the RF is the worst on any phone i have used (even the T68i - and yes i compared both in a low signal area). But can i reccommend another phone to choose over this? No, i can't. No one phone seems to have everything right. Like many people say Nokia could do with learning a few things from their competitors, but likewise nokia's competitors could do with learning a few things from them. Give me an old basic 2G handset any day - at least they were solid & easy to use. DONT GET THIS PHONE!!!! (wait until the 6600 comes out - and then let someone else, like me, point out the bugs first)

It's just to slow, very slow. You press a button, and it takes more than a few seconds to respond another point its diffciult to navigate, too many buttons to press and go around. Compared to Sharp phones., they really haven't thought out sensibily how the whole phone interact's. It's a big let down.

this is awsome! only had it for two days....and i love it already. have owned 5 nokia's previously and whilst i do love nokia's for their simplicity, its the 21st century, they could do with some serious fun! afterall..a phone is much more than a gadget, its a personal statement! i read quite a few reviews...i agree on the screen being invisible in daylight...but hey thats only coz its so highly clear....and like one of the reviewrs even a 3000pound laptop screen wouldnt be visible in the daylight, so why the inkling? this fones slighlty bigger than the nokia 8310, but twice as light and feels gr8! i didnt even have to rea dthe manual to start using it! anyone who can use a pc and has common sense will find it child's play! i assume most of us didnt have to do a degree in computing to get on the net and download a pic or song or just check mails!! did we? yea i agree theres a bit too many clicks with certain features compared to nokia's...but hey...change is nice...look at the rest of the stuff....the smooth interface, light body, stunning design (bet phillippe starck would love to call it his own!), admirable GUI and bloody cool accessories....in all SonyEricsson have re-defined what we thought was a mobile fone! so get rid of your chunky....oddly-shaped, bland, low-res screen, UFO like nokias (wonder where they get their inspiration from) and get one of these! ohh by the way..i had no problems with the defected chargers....fones4u have the new stock in...and the stupid orange shops...are still not authorised to use it!

I fell in love with this phone at first sight. It does stand out among other phones. Navagation is very intuitive and logical. Features are stored in the appropriate places, making them easy to find. I still remember having a hard time trying to locate specific features in a Nokia phone. The digital camera is alright. Connection to my laptop via infrared is seamless. I have been sending photos from a Canon Powershot S50 digital camera to the phone with great ease. Being able to connect photos to callers is a plus. The only complaint that I have is the need to recharge the battery every 2-3 days. This is expected considering the amount of power required to light up the high-resolution colour screen, especially when I play games or type messages for extended periods of time. Overall, I love the intricate design and functionality of the phone. In fact, I am going to buy another one for my wife.

Not as good as you may think. Yes its well built. but the camera is very poor, its too dark, you can see nothing also the phone is far too slow for my liking. If you use your phone as your universe, this phone is not it, but if you want a basic phone for calls, then its average. SE could do a lot lot better.

Wish I'd read the recent reviews before buying it- they're spot on! Can't see the screen in daylight (should be okay for a UK winter though!),. battery lasts for 1 1/2 days, joystick difficult to get it to click down instead of selecting a direction which means I end up on a screen I didn't want,. most of the time dialing WAP services. And now for the serious issues.... Sometimes I can't get it to switch on, it takes 4 or 5 goes. It randomly switches to SOS calls only, v.v.v.annoying. Charger has been recalled because it might explode! I only found out by accident by ringing Vodafone to complain about the phone. I only bought the think cos I was bored with Nokias but I may have to go back now :o(

It was with a bit of sadness that after I ran my T68i through the carwash I was offered a free upgrade to the T610 if I signed up for another year I now wish I had kept to the T68i. I now have Polyphonic ringtones that I cant hear in all but the quietest of places, Progressive ring that causes most people to hang up before I get to answer a screen that cant be seen on a sunny day even in the shade and a sreensaver clock that dissapears after 30 seconds. Oh how I cant wait till this contract expires in 11 months. Then I dump it quick.

Had this phone for a few weeks now on free upgrade from orange, previously owned 3 nokias and an old 388 ericsson. Yes it has some flaws like poor screen visibility and ascending ring tones but its stable, every nokia I had crashed and had to be replaced. This mobile has a key lock function as well, something I missed when I gave up my ericsson ph388. People complain that it scratches, buy a case! 'Krusell' make the best ones so far and you can pick em up for £15 on the net. It also makes handling the phone better too. Don't buy it for the camera, you'll be disapointed. The gui software is very functional and inteligent. eg When someone phones you and when you finnish that call the phone automatically asks you if you want the number stored in the phone (it checks to see if the number is already in the phone book). People complain that there are to many button presses when navigating. How much of a faff is it to save numbers from the 'Received Calls' menu on a nokia? Each phone has its merits, learn to like the one you have, at the end of the day, the grass is never greeener on the other side and opinions are just.....opinions. I gave this phone 3 stars because; Battery life could have been longer, at least 1 week not 4 days max Screen poor 2MB memory ok if you not taking pictures otherwise too low One last the, Tee (see below), I glad I read your comment, I rang orange and they said, 'the reason Orange have recalled the T610 is actually because of a faulty charger', i actually have one and wil sort it out today. I had a T68i, 7210 then 7250 and have been waiting for the T610 since i first saw it previewed. They say expectations can cause you to be disappointed, and while i do not HATE the phone i do have some major issues with it with i can not ignore. Major Cons: 1) The Screen - Extremely difficult to see in direct/bright sunlight. Don't even try to compose an SMS. Making a call okay but you can see your own reflection better than the screen. Screen becomes too greasy, too easily - a problem with using this scratch resistant plastic (which still scratches!!!) 2) Slow navigation and SMS composing. Compared to the T68i - its fine. But if you have used one of the newer nokia's you'll be longing for the speed and simplicity (even if nokias are the most dull phones around). Also, considering the size of the screen the SMS text is way too small. 3) Signal strength. Constantly around 3 or 4. I hate to think what the increased emmissions (mobile phones boost their output when signal strength is low) are doing to my little brain. 4) Blurry pictures if phone is even slightly moved during capture. 5) Too many key presses needed for calls, texts & notes. 6) Too little/leaking memory (FIRMWARE UPDATE ANYWHERE PLEASE?) But its not all bad. I am trying to see through these faults, because, despite all the above it is still a good phone even if its not brilliant. Major pro's: 1) Nice looking screen (in dark or articial light environment - perfect for winter months). 2) Lovely, rich, loud polyphonics (even if they do fade in). 3) Nice built-in games (Q*bert, Mini Golf) 4) Good effects on camera and useful shortcut button. 5) Better phone book management than nokia's. 6) Sound recorder of voice notes. 7) Bluetooth (even if i may never use it - the option is there) 8) Theme's (there is nothing like personalising ones phone). So its up to you. I still havn't decided and i only have another weeks approval time before i have to keep or ditch this handset. I may be thinking about the 3650 as its so customisable (but has THAT keypad and is large - but i'm 6'2" so a large phone should suit me better)?????? D15C0 D4V3

Had it for one day, used it for 2 mins and decided to take it back. Sony seem to have forgotten what you use a phone for. The ring tones are inaudible even on the highest setting. This is exacerbated by the fact that the ring tone slowly fades in, causing you to miss 50% of your calls. The volume control during the call makes no difference whatsoever, and the loudest setting is not remotely loud enough. Navigation is awful, almost all functions requiring too many key presses. The camera is cr*p compared to the Samsung V200. The jack charger is difficult to insert and remove, particularly in the dark. Too irriated to write for longer about all the faults, am off to change it... STEER CLEAR

It's a shame SE have gone down the gadegty Nokia route. The phones have gone ever and ever smaller while still being premium in price. The T610 is no different. Yes its well built. But immediately seeing it, you notice how small it is. It could lieterally slip out of your hands and you wouldn't know it. Firstly the interface, which though is a improvement on the old T68i, looks basically the same. Secondly the screen is not that good, compared to how vivid the GX10i is, the screen is a huge let down. I expected more from SE. I returned the phone and got a Gx10i instead.

well i got my 610 about 3 weeks ago, i found it absolutely amazing, i had previously owned a t68i. then the trouble started. a few days ago, i noticed that it needed charging every day. And the memory staus screen showed 0kb for sounds, took it back and got a new one again, plugged it in to charge and it tripped my fuse box!! then wouldn;t charge, took that back got a replacement, so far so good!! although i've had trouble with the phone i wouldn't change it, it does everything i need and is far better than a nokia!

Let's set afew things straight.The Sony Ericcson T610 is an excellent phone.Compare the features of the Nokia 6100 to this phone & you will see that this phone is far superior to that model.The camera is not the best available but will suffice for taking quick photos to send to other MMS enabeld phones.The screen is of a fair size & is only difficult to read in direct sunlight because of the amount of colors supported.Bluetooth is an absolute joy for connecting to your PC & PDA & the ringtones are fine once the phone is setup properly.As for changing the facias this can be done at any decent phone shop where either of the two other available colurs can be purchased.The icon driven menu is very easy to navigate but i must admit that the joystick {i.e. push to enter} can be a bit of a pain.Overall this is a fine phone but do checkout T610.com & also esato.com for more info.Question WHY HAVE THESE PHONES BEEN WITHDRAWN BY ORANGE?

If you want simplicity, a phone for texting and ringing, get a nokia. However, if you want to go that bit futher with style, this is the phone for you. Excellent value on contract (i'll go into this in a minute), and really stylish. The screen quality is teriffic, and I personally find it easier to text quickly on this phone that on nokias, although people do differ in their opinions. The pictures which you can save and add to contacts are a nice little tool to add personality. To go back to what I said about contract, for students, its great. On www.02.co.uk/ucas, the phone is only £25, and every online tarif comes with 500 free txts a month. Sony ericsson = SE = Sexy n Easy!

I had been drooling over this phone for months before I finally went out and got it on contract with Orange (Free on Freetime 750 - T-Mobile OVP). At first I was hugely impressed with the phone, but as time went on (I've had it for 2 months now) I realised some MAJOR flaws with it. Everyone knows its good points, and it has loads, but DO NOT BUY IT IF... (1) You want to use it outside in Sunlight - This phone is seriously impossible to use in daylight outside! The screen just dissapears and it is almost impossible to make a phone call! I have had to run into a covered area on many occasions to make a simple phone call! NOT GOOD! (2)You don't want to miss phone calls! - My partner rings me once so I can ring her back, but sadly the damn phone fades in the music, so you miss the call. The vibrate function is really rubbish, and is not half as powerful as my amazing and trusty Sony Z5! Ring tones in general are really quiet, and I wish it had the option to use mono tones instead of rubbish Polyphonic stuff! Thats the only bad points I can find, but they are MAJOR flaws to an otherwise excellent phone. I have NEVER liked Nokia phones, so would usually never consider anything by Nokia, however, the new 3300 looks interesting, and hopefully will be a far better phone than the T610.

Its an ok phone, the design is a bit poor(not very sleek, too boxy) I got a dud phone the 1st time round, took a week to get it replaced, works fine. Not many people that i know have these new generation phones, so They were impressed, but then again, they are all poor, beer drinking students Overall, its an ok phone, not to fancy, but does its job well

Was very dubious about this phone as all previous phones have been Nokias - NEVER AGAIN!!! The texting took a while to get used to but I have now decided is much better than any Nokia. The camera quality is AMAZING, again don't even think about getting the 7250! The DJ bit is also great fun, but the ringtones provided were certainly not as pants as expected, and you can always download more. The 'joystick' is however only for 'precision thumbs' - not so easy to use when drunk (but that's probably a good thing!!). I went and got a radio attachment for it - also VERY good (much better than the Nokia quality), it also has a bass boost - to be fair, Sony have had a hand in it!!! To all the 'nothing but a Nokia' people - give it a go, you're getting a much better deal (I'm glad I risked it!).

Had the phone a few hours and took it back. The buttons were too small and I found navigation not as simple as Nokia's. What also concerned me is that you are unable to purchase facias, so what happens say if you scratch it or damage the front? The amount of "extras" with the phone is impressive, including the games, which included crazy golf. The screen resolution was superb too. I've always had Nokia so I'll be sticking to Nokia.

Horrible is the word. I used it for 2 days and it wouldn't turn on anymore. And guess what i found out later. the ppl at 4U can't sell this phone well enough and they are trying to push this phone to it's customer. Probably that's why the guy at 4U that I bought from kept talking to me about this phone even when I enquired about Nokia, he just ignored my questions. It's not that great a phone if you have a chance to use the nokia 7250i before using this one. And the nokia has much useful functions, like loudspeaker and integrated radio. Who needs the bluetooth function on the T610 when it cost a fortune to buy it's handsfree to used the bluetooth function. Those that are considering to buy this phone coz of the good deals they have at 4U now, BEWARE. It's a scam. Judge for yourself instead of leting the sales ppl at 4U talk you into buying it. Research on the web. Nokia is still better, and that's why so many more ppl are using Nokia than any other brand.

I hav recently bin lookin 4 a new phone up untill now wen i saw this baby,it looked so cool sitting next to all the other phones on the shelf wiv its slic aluminium body,this was b4 i even knew wot jassaroonic stuff was init! i havent got it yet so i dont know wot exactly its like but takin from all da reveiws an wed sites i seen, it sounds soo F*****g gorgeous! found it cheaper than on the orange shop web site(£179.99)- on Cyren Communications its only £153.75! but i can only give it 4 stars cos i havent actualy try it yet but still at first glance its the fabest fabbing fabable fing ive ever seen!

Man this is got to be the phone of all phones , The sony Ericsson T610 has fantastic features that would satify any gadget junkie, I came out of a Nokia 3650 after being replaced 3 times with heaps of problems, beware not worth the trouble. The T610 hassle fee , what a releaf. Great phone you won't be dissaponited.

Best Phone ever , came out of Nokia 3650 after 3 replacements and heeps of trouble . This phone rocks, on all its features. Yes a bit hard to see in direct sunlight, but so is a 6 to 7 Thousand $ laptop. The ring can be louder from start as it go's soft to loud and you may miss a call if its buried in your pocket or hand bag. Apart from that its a good solid reiable phone, you won't be dissapointed, i was Nokia loyalist after 7 modles i did the change . No regrets Steve

Was a bit worried that it would be too small for lots of texting but I soon got used to the size. I think it's a little bit slow though, any press of the key results in a slight delay before the screen will change. I managed to get it to move a bit quicker though by deleting all the polyphonic ringtones and games that I didn't want, must be a memory issue. My girlfriend disagrees and says it isn't slow, so it may not bother other people.. It does sound tinny though, both ways, and not nearly as clear as my 6310i. Unless this is just a problem with my one? Shared memory not brilliant either, had to delete some names, not ideal. Battery life is rubbish too, but then the 6310 is outstanding in that department, it's all a question of what you're used to. If you don't mind charging every two or three days, it really won't be a problem. All in all, a good wee phone, but not as fast to use or as clear-sounding as the 6310i.

I have had three Ericssons previously which I used to talk to people with. I do not need cameras, and other toys, this is a tool. I really needed to be able to see the screen and access the menus easily. This phone performs neither of these tasks properly: by that I mean if the phone's screen cannot be viewed in sunny weather conditions, it is not really a lot of use. This major failure occurred all last week in Devon during the hot spell, when the phone was virtually useless. Just as well T-Mobile offer no service down there, either. The Bluetooth function is good, though, although I am now on my second sender.

Dis phone is amazin. It has got a well good screen and a well good camera. It has downloadable java applications and u can attach pictures 2 names in ur phonebook.u can also set ur pictures as screensavers or wallpapers, and u can download cool ringtones. dis phone has 32 bit polyphonic ringtones that produce a quailty sound and on top of all this, it is tri band. it also has a cool joystick 2 control urself around a menu which is easy 2 operate. coz u can attach pictures 2 names in ur phonebook u can c who is callin u before u answer.It also has a stopwatch, and a calculator and an alarm and a calender.dis fone is expensive,its usually in da region of £250 but if u go 2 an orange shop den u can get it 4 £200.i wood really recommend dis fone if u arent quite sure which fone 2 get den i advise u get dis 1.

Wanna know whats hot...Its the new Sony Ericsson T610! I've used a couple of phones before but this is the king of 'em all! All of its stupendous features go matching with its slick design. Its camera with night mode and other features are the best of all camera phones. The production of this phone may probably be the beginning of the growth of Sony Ericsson's technology!

I've never got on with Nokia phones and have always actively sought out Ericsson where possible, mainly because they offer a terrific range of technology in a very small package. This T610 is the best phone Ericsson have ever made. It has all the features you'd expect from a top of the range phone, but fits it neatly into one of the smallest cases around. My girlfriend doesn't like the looks of the thing, but I disagree with her. The anodised aluminium of the front and back contrasts nicely with the black plastic of the screen surround. Then there is the funtionality; Get your provider to turn on GPRS and surf the full internet at 47Kbps! That is faster than I ever got through my landline modem. Bluetooth connectivity and a comprehensive diary and appointments function, which can be linked into Outlook with ease, means that my iPAQ PDA is up for sale. Downloadable games for those long shopping trips are a big plus, as is the bundled software to allow you to make your own wallpapers and ringtones in fits of bored creativity. Best of all I can announce that I have had no problems with the thing at all, no resets, no curious powerdowns, even the battery life is pretty robust (the bane of all Ericsson T36 owners). Okay you can't see the screen in sunlight and the Predictive text doesn't have the largest vocabulary (though you can add words to it), but these are minor grumbles about an otherwise very polished product. A worthy successor to the T68i.

I always consider my self as a Nokia's fun, I make a short "jump" to Siemns (SL45i) and now I buy the new Sony T610, and I'm more than happy! The bluetooth is working excellent you can send msgs up to 3m distance from one phone to the other, you can connect your SONY videocamera (if you have one) and store info to the camere and vice verca. However the memory is very low (at least compare it with the SL45i), they should predict to add a smart media card within the phone. Desing is up to personal taste but for me is the most beautiful mobile in the market. Great ring tones composer but uselles edit options for the photos (you waist to much battery for nothing).Yet I cant edit my own photos from the mobile I figure because of the size but I'm not sure. Anyway the conclusion is, if you can buy it, BUY IT! Oh! and something more Great Great Internet options.

its a brilliant phone has truck loads of great accessories ,the camera is one of the best nearly as good as the sagem myx-6 but just misses it though it has more features to cover that.I think if you can afford it and are recomended it by someone who knows their mobiles then this is definitely a must buy . oh and one other dont be discouraged buy the control pad
