The Sony Ericsson replaces the Sony Ericsson K700i and is a big improvement. It's a big step up in the world of camera phones, with a 2-megapixel digital camera with autofocus. Previous camera phones were all fixed focus, which is OK for quick point-and-shoot pictures, but with autofocus you can ensure crisp sharp shots of the subject. This is an exciting development which moves phone camera technology a big step forward.

The K750i doesn't stop there - it's a fully featured phone with the best of everything - video camera, digital music player, FM radio, Bluetooth, memory stick, triband - you name it, it's got it! Its screen is as good as anything going - much better than the Nokia 6230i, the same resolution as the Samsung D500, but not quite as high as the Sony Ericsson S700i.

It's built on a dependable platform - the SE K series - and is a very easy phone to use, with a joystick, menu shortcuts and camera button to aid navigation. It's a good-looking, well-built phone that's a good size and offers everything that's available in phone technology (except 3G and SmartPhone functionality). Now replaced by the Sony Ericsson K800i, which offers 3G and an improved camera.

Only had the phone a few days. So far have successfully connected to the PC for transferring MP3 files and pictures - after finally reading the instructions!!! The screen is superb the sound good picture quality excellent. But so far I like the fact that the battery is much better than my last phone E700 and 6230.

This phone is the DADDY!!! Best camera/Video I have seen yet. Not over keen on the front but the back is sexy. Being able to zoom in and out on pics bluetooth'd to me by other phones is great. You can start a Vid, pause it and start again. V impressed. Previously had the D500 which is good phone but the alarm signals annoyed me no end. Good to go back to Sony Ericsson.

Here is my opinion for what its worth Bad Points: -Problems with slow interface. Hate the sliding effects just slows the phone down and makes it ugly -Cannot charge and use headset for radio / music at the same time unlike my old Nokia 6230. -The hands free kit provided cannot control radio / music why this is I am not sure? -Memory card slot opening is made of rubber material, feels cheap and seems it might break off. -Sony Ericsson does not provide many software freebies unlike my nokia 6230. -The interface sometimes seem its frozen. This is a sign of badly written multi-threading. I had to take battery out and re-insert because I got fed up of waiting once, it never happend again though? -For some reason the message tones are very soft and short. ring tones are loud enough. (I keep phone on silent mostly so its not too important to me) -The video DJ and other such features are just token items. Better to provide more useful applications, rather than charge us later. -Battery can run out quickly if you are having too much fun with all the features. I expect this though! Good points: -Technologically its amazing. -Great Camera 2Mpixel is enough for silly photos -The camera auto focus does sort of work -Good video for a phone -Bluetooth (not sure if voice stack is supported) -Can charge the phone from USB port, nice feature -Supports SSL, IMAP and POP3 for email -GPRS works well and is easy to setup. -Infrared is there as a token too. -Supports J2ME 2.0 latest KVM for those micro developers out there who make apps. -Good size overall -The torch light feature comes in handy more than expected. -Buttons are fairly comfortable. -64MB included card is ok in size 512MB is needed to really have some fun though. -Sound quality out of Speakers is ok for a phone and the headset. It also has equaliser settings. -The calendar is decent for scheduling but really no where close to a PDA but still its fairly decent.

Have had this phone for a week and frankly, it's brilliant. I've been a nokia user for the last 5 years, and I've been a very satisfied one, but I thought this phone looked pretty smart and I haven't looked back. Still getting used to it in some areas, but that what happens when you get a new phone, but am very happy with it. I'm very sad to say this as a nokia fan, but this SE is so much better than anything they've produced so far.

I got this phone a couple of days ago and it is fantastic. I could not be happier. The features are fantastic and its so easy to use. The only problem i have is that my camera doesn't work. I open the slider lens cover and the viewfinder comes up for about 1/2 a second then goes away. I don't know what to do. Can anyone help me? Apart from that, this phone rocks!

i bought it just 2 weeks back and it is full of scratches.Reason being no option to change the skin.SUCKS!web browser is very slow and can not download files greater than 500kb. again a sucking feature.no edge in the phone that makes it below 6230i.lack of 60 series software means you can not install applications of your choice and have to keep using the boring appliactions preinstalled in the phone.As far as the camera is concerned,auto focus is a good feature but when you take pic on vga or on 1600 into 1200 pixel you will get a lot of dotes in the pic this sucks.only 32 mb memory card is available that is too small for pic display is poor than s700i. overall k7500i sucks donn't waste your money and time on it go for nokia 60 series

OKIE DOKIE,, the phone is superb. One simple solution for Calls, Emergency light, Casual photography, Rdio on the go, Music while u are on roads, e-mail browsing, Recording lectures, and so on. i have been a proud owner of SE phones and truly speaking i love them all starting from t68i. i had k750i for good about a month, i loved it( One loves sony ericsson ) i enjoyed every feature of it, the new features are 2MP camera, stroger light, vivid and 262k TFT, External storage upto 2GB and a full screen plyback of vidoes. Great improvement, two thumbs up. I would only suggest one thing to SE please start off with Symbian based phones, i do know u already are in with p900 or p910 i had them as well but its not always a brilliant idea of acrying a big phone and using stick all the times ( Good for businessmen, serious PDA users or people who really want PDAs) i dont think so that most of us would require PDAs. Anyways, nokia has always been pathetic in ringtones, size, and so calle d designer inventions. i have been with SE for good about six years now and i still love them especially k750i is probably the best for some one who doesnt care for symbian bla bla, the best JAVA based phone ever made till date, i did hear about nokia 6370 or 6380 ( i am not sure abt the model numbers cuz there are so many 123456789....) which are having almost simillar features 2mp camera and stuff but people nothing i say again nothing can make nokia ( Java Phones and sybian ones earlier than 6680) win over k750i. i have just sold my k750i an hour ago, i am seriously sad. i am planning to get a nokia 6680 for myself but am realy not sure how the ringtones and mp3 playback would be. i am loosing the edge of small size, and wonderful performance of k750i just to gain symbian after knowing that the nokia has added a stereo player in it and they have gone to 64 chord polyphonics. lets see,, but people i would say if u are going for a JAVA phone simply leave everything,, GO FOR SE and if u can spend a little more the best is SE750i simply no match......... JUST BUY IT and u would start lovin it...

All you nokia fans out there its time to give up. Youve been beaten by a company with superior technology, cutting edge design and overall impresive performance. Im talking bout the Sony ericsson k750i,Bulls*** nokia 6230i and how its better. Believe me, ive had 40 phones in three years including the 6230i last week which i returned as its a clone of its previous models. I purshashed my K750i today and i have to say, straight up , the best phone thats coming out this year. The crisp, vivid screen made the nokias screen of the same colours(262k) look like a early model colour mobile with scratchy graphics, poor, unresponsive camera and overall crap features. Nokia is the sorriest excuse for a mobile company i've ever seen. They try to fool buyers by putting flashy, cheap looking covers on previous models and giving them overated specs so they can almost reach the league in which Sony lies. THe k750i has a superb camera, oputstounding features and vibrant menu all packed into a case smaller and lighter than the nokia 6230i. All you kids out there, forget NOKIa, get a real phone. peace out

i had a k700i, and thought that by getting the newer model i would be upgrading to a better quality phone! how wrong could i be. i would descrice the phone as a shambles! go get yourself a k700i, and good quality digital camara. RUBBISH

This phone is quality. Excellent features, no problems with it at all. Its small, looks good and is better than anything out there. I noticed a few bad reviews further down the page and can only presume that they are to do with the first few models models that had software teething problems or that they are from the nokia faithfull who are to inept to adjust to a different format! Outstanding phone.

i dont agree with u ppl bcoz this fone has lots of probs. my friend just got a nokia 6230i and he is thrilled abt it. i am returning this fone to SE back and get myself a nokia. this fone is nothin but probs. what a waste of time and money!!!

Nothing to complaint except the alarms options. I used to have samsung E700A which can set alarms based on days like Monday to Friday. Hopefully there is some free software upgrades to allow me to do this.

Bought this a month ago...mainly because I wanted email and web browser/mobile phone combination. I have had no problems at all other than human error. The connection to my computer by usb is slow, but works admirably, and the phone has never hung or frozen on me. As a photographer the camera is a real bonus, as is radio, tape recorder and mp3 which also work well. I liked the fact that if I find myself lost on the fells in the dark, it will flash SOS for me :) A lot of people just do not read the manual, and well; I'm sorry but if you drop or miss-handle something like this, expect it to break or get scratched. I respect my equipment, and treat it with care. This is one giant leap. No regrets. d.

what a phone i have been a nokia man for, well since they were invented, until now! this phone blows everything nokia do out of the water. camera is excellent, phone use is simple and quick, it has all the extra functions you will ever need if you need a new phone get this one. only one two problems, i definatley need more memory than the 64mb card supplied with it and until the se hmp-70 stereo headphones are released i wont be using it as a music player. but i still have found a phone that may last me longer than 12 months.

blah blah blah......no phone at this time can even step up to or even match the "Sony Ericsson K750i", so y dosnt every1 just shut up, and by a k750i, instead of a rubbishy motorola that will break before its left the factory.

Sorry ppl, this is a rather crapy handset! I was really hoping for great things from this little functional wonder with all its nice features - got it the first day O2 released it online! Well, what can I say, from the first moment I started to get software problems with it + i found the interface to be fiddly and messy... sure the features are great but what good is that if the thing keeps crashing and failing? sound quality was poor and bluetooth connectivity with my headset was a joke and also battery life was disappointing. the worst thing happened when after rebooting it to try and get the camera to work (it stopped just like that and wouldn't launch) the darned thing just wouldn't boot up! that's it the phone died! whatever I did i couldn't get it to start again... took the battery out, replaced the simm and the memory thingie - nada! all i got was the white screen of death (is Sony trying to compete with Microsoft or somethin?) nothing helped... the useless thing is now back to O2 and i'm off to get me a nice little Samsung or Nokia - come to think about it, I never did like Sony stuff....

Couldn't decide whether to go for the 6230i or the k750i. Decided to go for the k750i even though I thought I'd end up taking it back and swapping it for the nokia. Nearly did after the first night when nothing seemed to make sense (after being used to nokias, anything seems complicated). Soon got used to it though and now I can't believe I ever found it confusing at all. I've since had a look at the 6230i and there's no way I'd swap!

I think this phone is fantastic! I have had it for 5 days now, it switches on and off immidiatly and they sound quality on the headphones and loud speaker are great! What can I say? There is just to much to write about!! Its a really nice looking phone too!!! The cameras the best ever! overall- 10/10 definatly!!!!!

All i can say is wow! Has there been a handset that packs so much into such a small, attractive box? I think not. Easy to use, sound quality superb, expandable memory, plus the bluetooth is better than anything i've ever come across on my other phones, with no problems transferring files of any size between different handsets, not just other sony's either. Verdict: Ericsson-ellent!

this phone has the neatest and best looking style it is fully loaded with awsoeme features and it would keep you satisfied for a very long time, it displays an outstanding performances. I think this phone is above the rest actually you should'nt call it a phone you should call it a camera, mp3 player, widescreen tv, and all the rest of its wonderful features.

This phone is great and is by far the best phone out there. I got this and now I'm a star, got promoted, won the lottery and got married! Things just got better and better! Kidding aside, I do not regret buying this phone instead of nokia 6680, 6630 or 3230 despite their SmartPhone picture. Their UI is a major turnoff as compared to the k750i.

I bought my K750i virtually the day it was first available. I am normally a Nokia user, but having read outstanding reviews on the K750i, I thought I would have a change. I am disappointed with two aspects (o2 user): The first is, as mentioned by Jen and Doobla, that for no reason at all, the phone intermittently freezes, especially in sleep clock mode. The second is similar to what Jason has experienced, that my K750i seems incompatible with o2 wap GPRS settings. Therefore I cannot even access the internet. I have had a 45 min conversation with an extremely helpful woman from o2 tech svs, who advised me my settings were correct - still no connection. My sim card is not faulty, so....ummm? The rest of the phone is in my opinion almost faultless. I get loud ringtones, the menu is easy to follow once you are used to it. The camera is great. So 4 out 5 points for this. If anyone has any advice to give me, I would like to hear it.

WOW! This really is a great phone. Up until this morning i have had a motorola v300 which to be honest was rubbish! The camera quality on the SE K750i is fantastic, with the new auto focus pictures are even more clearer and when printed they look really great. The MP3 player is also a great feature, ezpecially with the expandable memory card slot. The price is also great for what your getting. I got mine and it was one of the new and 'imroved' modles according to this guy that sold it to me. Apparently there was a problem with some of the older modles where they kept freezing, but so far mine has been great, i even got it on t-mobile so i could keep my old number. The phone itself looks really sexy and attractive, the back of the phone has a slidable slot which protects the camera. This is made out of tough stainless steel. The camera also has a built in flast so you can take pictures in the dark. The video capture quality is slightly less as god as normal pictures but much m uch better than any nokia phone! This phone is a must have and im really glad i have one, you should get one. In my honest opinion i think this phone is better than the samsung d500/ d600.

I'm long term Nokia user, and thought it was time for a change. I've used the K750 for 2 weeks now. It's impressive with a very good camera and very good screen. But the interface drives me nuts! However much I try I just can't see any logic in the button or menu layout. Here's a few examples: i) Why on earth did they think it’s a good idea to clear the text message buffer when you navigate away from writing a text. Just leave it there! It's not like the phone's short on memory! ( You do get the chance to save it to Drafts, then you have to navigate around the find the message again. - I just want to go resume texting where I left off. Drives me up the wall. Nokia fixed this years ago) ii) No one-button shortcut to write a text message. (you can create a shortcut to the message type selector menu, but you can't just start texting!) iii) Can't lock the keypad without getting back to the main menu, and there's no button for this like there is on a Nokia (you have to hold the Back button down for ages, then you can lock the keypad) iv) when you miss 3 calls, you'd want to know who they were. Once you know this you wouldn't want to the phone to display the missed calls icon. On the Nokia this was easy. As soon as you read the missed call notification icon disappears. With the SE you have to manually navigate to the New Events list press a soft key to Dismiss the entry, and then it asks Dismiss Yes/No. This is about 5 button presses that you never had to do on a Nokia. Drives me insane. v) There’s no Red and Green buttons. This sounds silly, but conceptually it very important. I want a Negative button (end call, return to home menu, exit game, panic/stop button) and a Positive button (call, answer call, OK etc) The SE has blurred this concept, they have a back button which just navigates up a menu level, and 2 soft keys which do different things. So even to answer a call you have to look at the screen to find out which soft key the GUI wants you to press. There’s no instinct just to press the positive Yes button. I really miss this concept. vi) The keys on the keypad are not ergonomically distinct, they're all uniform and close together so you keep making mistakes which slows texting. You start to realise why Nokia can be complacent. They have the most streamlined, refined interface that is optimised for heavy everyday use minimising the number of button presses and general faffing. Come back Nokia! ... will you forgive me? Please? (sorry I said you were ugly, I didn't mean it...)

hmmm lets be honest write...........nokia are really bad. only ppl who have nokias rate nokias! after uve had any nokia cos they are all the same purchase a sony ericsson. will be a bit wierd at first compared to an nokia but u will see how much more user friendly it will be. Now first of all why are nokia makin so many phones that no body can remember what they are called. i mean after the 3330 or what ever it was they went mad and made as many phones as they could...pffffftt nice try but, u know, i dont even know when theyve released a new one these days. right the k750!, prob the best fone ever as ive got a k700 and ive had it for a year now and loved it! i think its the best fone fone the market except from the k750. the features are immense and it looks slick and its not trying to hard to look retro like nokia. claims about problems with sound and freezes are now fixed as SE realised there was a software problem. I am currently waiting for my k750 to be delivered and to be honest i cant wait! oh yeah, nokia are pants and need to get there own spec. the 6230 or whatever cos they are all the same to me these days was trying so hard to be th k700. same spacs and stuff but looked like junk. whats next? there gonna make a 6748u53 with the same specs as the SE? yup! thort so but with "GROOVY, fashionable changable front covers" ppffffftt do one nokia. come back when u make a fone thats worthy of the new k750.

It's been fun (for a while) to read some of the posts here (not just for this phone) Are all Nokia users complete *****?. Firstly people, there's nobody out here who's going to take notice of someone who can barely speak English. Secondly, what's with all the insecure types out there...my phone is better than yours! No it's not! Yes it is!! Damn I had a Sharp GX10i and have only just changed it for this. It wasn't a bad phone (considering that it's main use was to speak to others??!) but it's features were poor. Guess what though, after 2 years of abuse it still works fine and looks like new! Now that is the real test of any bit of kit. On to the Sony! After upgrading to this I have to admit I'm pretty impressed. I can't report any problems or major gripes. True, I'm scared to drop it, but then it wasn't made to bounce. It won't play protected music but that's no problem really (W800 anyone?). It will play MP3's MPEG4 etc. The camera is a 2 Mega pixel autofocus unit with a pair of incredibly bright white LED's that also function as a torch. It can record movies in Apple's .MOV format. The screen display is bright and crisp with great colour depth. The bundled games are crap (as always) although look impressive. This phone seems more powerful than some fairly recent game consoles. It actually has dedicated 3D graphics. Sound is great through the bundled headphones but I find them uncomfortable and you can't replace them with your favourites because of the Sony Ericsson designed connector. I wish companies would use standard connections. Speaker sound is relatively good quality but not very loud. The camera is hidden by a shutter - no more crap on the lens! There's an 8X digital zoom on this camera also and in high quality mode the pictures are at 1632x1224 resolution. Very nice quality for a phone. The keys are responsive and I have no trouble using them - my sister can speed text on it and says it's great. (She's a Nokia fan). It switches on and off nice and quick too! I really like that. Bundled data cable is brilliant! Problems? The small joystick is fiddly for people with big hands. It looks so good you don't want to put down in case it gets scratched. I can't find a case for it yet. People won't leave it alone!!! Having phone memory and seperate MemoryStick memory can be awkward sometimes. You can use windows explorer to drag and drop files to the memory stick (it appears as an external drive) but you need to install sonyericsson software to access the memory in the phone itself (although basically it's windows explorer again). Battery life? Good enough for me but I don't live and sleep with my phone. Guess what sometimes I even leave it at home!! That's right.. I go OUTSIDE without my phone!! Seriously though, with all these toys on it I charge it every night. Loads more to say but this text is way too long now. I'm giving it 4/5 because nothing's perfect and it still has to last a couple of years before I get the next one. by da way as soon as sum1 tipes like dis I don reed nomor PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ don doit! heathens

Why should you buy the SE K750i? Well, it looks good (I have the black one, my unfortunate friend is stuck with the silver one)the camera quality is outstanding, it's easy to use, there's tonnes of storage thanks to the 64meg "memory stick duo" that comes with it. I almost made the mistake of going for the Nokia 6680, but my providers have not had it in stock for over a month. Man, was I lucky to get away with that one! The K750i rocks... The best phone I've ever had by a mile!

Hi I'm looking to buy this phone which I must admit looks brilliant. Does anyone know how long the video footage lasts? Is it like some phones only short clips or can you get an hour's play from it?

i fully agree with Dom that se is loads better than nokia. all nokia do is use old software and technology and put it in their new fones which have (what nokia think) funky cases.this fone (k750i) is packed full of features and i hope to replace my trusty (but old and beaten) t610 with this fone. the camera looks totally awesome from the pics that i have seen on the net and the mem. card included is great for storing all those mp3's. i have already submitted a review for this fone but i want to show that this fone rules and nokia should make some better fones be4 we can take them as a serious threat to se. cheers and bi from me!!!

Got the phone 2 weeks ago - superb purchase. Only one gripe though. The message tones are too short. I have several MP3 and AMR files over 15 seconds long but they only play for about 10 seconds, along with the factory stored sounds when used as message alerts. Does anyone know of a fix to get around this? I tried contacting the SE support centre but got bored after waiting for 15 minutes. Any suggestions on how to overcome this problem would be greatly received

Expecting good things after all the hype about the 750i,I have had 2 in a week on Virgin,due to the handset just freezing up.Maybe the phone is just not compatible with the Virgin software.Although i also went to my local 02 shop who also told me they had stopped selling it until the end of June due to software problems apart from that the menu was a bit longwinded to get to certain places,good mp3,excellent camera.Also the build quality was a bit too fragile for my liking.I think I'll go for the samsung d500 a lot of friends have them and no bad reports have come back to me yet.

I note that a load of you people are trying to down the SE against Nokias... you really are a bunch of fools. The industry knows that Nokia are shocking. How many phone sales-people do you know who own one? The Nokia menu system is utter rubbish compared with the SE. Nokias consistently fall on their bottom when you try hooking them up to a pc, no matter how you do it. I've never had any trouble with a SE and haven't started now. Any of you fools who are sticking up for the nokias against this GOD of a phone are simply displaying your envy because you made the wrong choice. Let's face it - the partner companies (i.e. Sony and Ericsson) have been market leaders in their respective industries for ages. The pairing of the two is undoubtedly going to produce amazing results. Take Nokia on the other hand... let's look at their network equipment. Nokia have spent virtually their entire existence working on cellular comms, yet they still consistently underperform. Orange used to have great coverage, probably the best in the UK at some points, but their nokia hardware lets them down time after time. I'd never buy a pansy little "ooo-let-me-change-the-cover-on-my-toy" nokia. They pale in comparison. Do not molest this review with them.

I've had my phone less than a week and although I'm extremely impressed with it, it has frozen several times. Also, whilst playing music (and not using any other applications) the sound has cut out and a buzzing sound has been heard instead. I'm inquiring about this tomorrow. Could someone answer me this though-on the SE website, it has been advertised that the lights come on and off in an 'amazing sequence'. Is this so on anyones model? because in mine, the lights switch on and off all at once. I'd be very greatful for a reply asap!! thanks!

Interface Control of the menu system is a bit long winded to many button press. Nokia's are a bit slicker. great screen touch small compared to nokia's. Build Quality Poor, feels fragile and creaks with handling. I wouldnt like to drop it. Audio quality Excellent including Radio and MP3. Imaging Not quite a replacement for digital camera but auto focus is a winner. Good Points. Excellent feature list and presentation. Bad points Buggy firm ware I've sent two back due to lock ups the second one didnt last 24 hrs out of the box !! It aint ready to ship. I had a Nokia sent out as a replacement until they sort the bugs out. Sony Ericcsons reputation is in for a mauling. These are based on my own experiences. I hope your have been different. Kevin.

This Phone is fantastic,i never thought i would find a phone that was better than a nokia to operate and find my way around but this is, it is so easy to operate,and the features are outstanding, the only gripe i have is that the volume for the ringtones could be louder but i can live with that,if your thinking of a new phone then get this one you won't be dissapointed.

Why isn't there a subsection for the T-Mobile equivalent of the K750i i.e. the D750i? Anyhow before I start I'd like to say something to the lady by the name of Kat who posted further down the page. I believe you gave the phone 4 stars cos the camera ain't working after you DROPPED it. Now that is very narrow-minded of you to do such a thing. It's as if you've thrown a brick through a window and you're blaming the window for having broken and not yourself for having thrown the brick in the 1st place. If you can't treat something of delicate technology with respect then how to you expect it to work??? And then having the nerve to give the phone a 4 star rating cos its supposed to be built for a person who likes dropping stuff? Puhhhleeeeze. I'm just being honest here and I know other readers will agree with me. Back to the phone itself. ALL new phones always have some issues. The day they make a PERFECT phone we'll be GODS! Get used to the fact that when you buy something new, integrating so much stuff into a small package, you're always bound to stumble on something wrong UNLESS you're like Nokia who tend to play it safe and only "merely" upgrade their existing models before they stump up enough courage to come up with something RADICALLY NEW ON THE INSIDE. Funky covers, sir/madame? No thank you Nokia. I am now the proud owner of 2 D750is (Silver K750is for you non-T-Mobile customers) which has got to be a contender for mobile of the year. Solidly built with a 2 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom complete with flash (or photolight as its known), mp3 (and several other formats)support, fully customisable (bar the fascias - can't have everything in life you know!), 252k colour screen, Bluetooth and InfraRed connectivity, comes with a USB datacable, RDS radio with Sony's tradmark Mega Bass plus customisable equalizer, video capture, internal memory of about 30MB (i.e. minus the memory already in use by the phone - total would be 34MB or so) and a 64MB MemoryStick PRO Duo (rumours have it that it will accept up to 4GB MemorySticks that have yet to be unveiled - the biggest so far are 2GB from SanDisk and they cost a bomb!), 40 polyphonic voices (not as much as Samsung's but still good nevertheless), tri-band, 3-D games, etc With SO many features packed into the size of a candybar you just have to marvel at the engineers and designers for having created a piece of technological wonder. For any1 who's got an old SonyEricsson you must realise that the interface at the bottom has changed so your old chargers (and anything similar) are NO longer compatible. You have been warned! There will also be a costlier model of the same specs called the W800 which will be packaged with a 512MB MemoryStick and aimed @ music lovers. If you're one of them you may well consider waiting for one of those and perhaps by then SE would've ironed out all the flaws every1 seems to be complaining about EXCEPT for damage caused by clumsy users who believe SonyEricsson phones should be close to the definitions of "indestructible" and "flawless" I may sound like a SE fan but I'm not. I've owned phones from Siemens (boring), Nokia (who hasn't it?) SE (the P800 and T610 were shoddy but then they were the 1st of their kind), came close to owning a Samsung D500 but decided to wait for the new SonyEricsson and I currently have a Razr V3 from Motorola and I've got to say that SonyEricsson have done themselves proud with this ALL-ROUND phone that is great for the average consumer. Be you a music lover, business person (who doesn't demand too much for his/her phone - get a PDA if you do!), casual talker, amateur photographer, feature geek then this phone is FOR YOU! Buy IT NOW BEFORE every1 has one! Remember that this IS A PHONE. Don't come crying that some of its features aren't up to scratch. Want top class games? Get a Sony PS3 nxt yr. Want a wicked digital camera? Go look at Canon's +6 Megapixel cameras. A hardcore music junkie? Get an iPOD. Want beautiful digital videos? Look elsewhere! The PRIMARY function of this device is to call and receive calls from people. Everything else is secondary but upto an acceptable standard. There is only so much they can fit into a small package and we must be grateful for wot they've achieved (at an affordable price too I must add!). Not happy? Try to come up with something better than them then! If you can't then don't complain and return to that cave you call home!

Im a bit of a phone Junky and go through many phones. I have just purchased the Sony Ericsson K750i......What a joy to use it is so easy to navigate, superb camera - 2.0 megapixels, fantastic music player & RDS Radio. Apart from 3G this phone is jammed packed full of features....move over NOKIA 6230 & Samsung D500!!!!!! I only have 2 little gripes....memory cards are expensive for this phone and the memory cards are a little awkward to remove and put back in the phone.

Imran, if u compare it with Nokia 6230i, u will feel like crying coz 6230i is much betta in terms of sound and picture quality plus its a nokia....K750i has lots of problems coming up like freezing, quality of sound etc. Almost all the features are same....bottom line is 6230i is the bomb....good work Nokee..cheers

This phone is awesome, So many features combined into one fantastic package. The 2 meg Pix camera is great the light is very strong so pictures in dark rooms’ r surprisingly good. Video is average quality. MP3 player and radio are amazing though with very crisp quality. It comes with data cable, so easy to transfer pictures and video to computer. Comes with 3 Java games loaded that are fun. Get this phone, you won't regret it.

i had a philips 575 or 573 or whatever. it was a good phone until time made a fool of it lol, it met its end on the first day of download music festival in donnington were it found out how violent the megadeth pit was >_<. THE PHONE THEN. rrp £300 which was expencive, until i saw the deals at orange, £30 on contract, snapped it up! my initial thoughts were aaarrrggghhhhh!!!! what do i do? ive never had this much technology in one place, and it cost 3 times more than the philips. asfter i figured out the controls it suddenly opened up, as an easy to navigate, (even alter the shortcuts yourself!)i was taking films pics, downloading etc. some of the best things about the phone. Looks, amazing, looks expencive, feels expecive, IS expencive lol very classy. alright sized screen, but i cant complain, but they could of put more liquid crystal in it (25sqr miles of it is produced every day dnt forget) the camera, what a beast! with a 4x zoom, alternate colour modes and a very powerf ul light. its as powerful as the one i bought last year lol and half the size. the sound quality is outstounding too, with free headset and radio, what a bonus it all is! extra memory included, 64MB MMS Duo Stick with the kit, brill! 2 things i dont like, the CD u get with it with the drivers etc is a pain to instal if you dont know how to configure USB data ports, like me and is faffy if your PC is rubbish, like mine lol. secondly is the manual, it doesnt help on stuff like the space button on the sms and just little minor things if you are not accustomed to that interface. (its the # bottom ;) its fantastic, i have had now probs with it and see that i will have it for a long time to come. but i would get some insurance for it lol buy buy buy

Imran a 2mp camera doesn't make this a suuper fone...if u just compare it with Nokia 6230i, u will start regreting....one k750i has poooor sound quality, but N6230i has far far superior sound quality(i think sound is the basic feature in a cell fone) Also picture resolution of 6230i is betta then that of 750i....and if u have a large enough memory card, u will probably never use that hot swap disk slot...hope u got the message, if not then mark these words..."NOKIA 6230i RULZ...ITS THE ULTIMATE TRUTH" ;)

A really good phone. Has started the new generation of 2 megapixel comera in the wide arsenal of mobile phones. the graphix lood good as it is. Sony ericsson have outdone themselves here obviously and i would be urprised if this phone does not take the top spot from the Samsung D500 over the next month. Still sony ericsson can improve on the looks of the phone next time round, not that it looks bad but it dosen't look too good either. The reign of the D500 has come to the end and the reign of the k750i has begun. hopefully it can reach the high quality peaks set by the D500. Hence it is a must buy phone for all the phone crazy people out there.

I got this phone on 27 May - so I've had it for a couple of weeks now and it's definitely the best mobile I have ever had. My previous phone was the T630 model (which I absolutely loved), but the K750i way better.

had phone 2 weeks,its a great phone features are and usability are far better than K700i. But my phone has been locking up on a regular basis which means removing the battery to enable it to work again. this all came to a head last night when it turned itself off and will not turn back on now. other than this its a great phone but i wish i'd perhaps held back a couple of months to get it so they could have ironed out any problems. waiting for a replacement now.

Ok kids, here’s my two-penny’s worth. I have had umpteen phones over the years. I had the ubiquitous Nokia 3330 and then upgraded to a Sony CMD-J5 (Remember them?). Since them I have had Sony Ericsson T300, Z600 and I currently have a k750i. I say currently as I am still waiting for my K750i from O2. Apparently these have been so popular that they sold out in a week! As you will have noticed I am a bit of a fan of Sony Ericsson. Why? Because for starters, they are so damn good that’s why. The second thing I really like about them is the menu structure. The only people that cannot understand the menus on a SE phone are either Nokia owners (don’t get me started on them) or people who bemoan the introduction of Windows and lament the day that we stopped using DOS prompts. Wake up and smell the coffee kids! There is no reason why we should be still putting up with interfaces like the pedestrian Nokia style, the inferior Samsung type or the clearly infuriating Motorola interface. In fact have you how these other manufacturers have tried to emulate the SE menus? The third thing I like about them is that you can customise them. Now I am not talking about some crappy plastic cover with Man Utd on it. No I am talking about customising the look of the screens and ringtones etc. I particularly like the use of themes. But one of the best things about Sony Ericsson phones is the absolute ease that pics/sounds/videos can be moved on and off of the phone. Sure many other phones can do this but as far as my little experience goes, SE were way ahead of anyone on this. I really hope that my new (when it turns up) is the k700’s big brother as this was the best of its day without exception. Of course SE phones have their problems, what phone doesn’t? What other device that has this level of sophistication doesn’t have its odd little moments now and again? Sure the cameras may have been a bit bette r on some other model (I doubt that this will be the case on the k750i though); go and buy a bloody camera then! So the mp3 player is lacking in features; go and buy an iPod then (actually buy a Creative Zen but that’s a different story). At the end of the day it’s a phone; any thing is a bonus. And SE’s bonuses are much nicer than anyone else’s!!!!! Of course if you want a phone that never goes wrong then get a Nokia 3330, but you will have one of the dullest and boring phones ever, in fact if you buy any Nokia you will basically have just an updated version of this phone. Nokia’s idea of innovation is to put a phone in a weird shaped shell and screw up the button layout; big wow! SE doesn’t have to resort to such outlandish and often ridiculous gimmicks to sell their phones. SE knows that quality products will sell themselves. Someone complained about the fact that the new power supply uses a different adaptor plug. A bout time too! This was they ONLY thing that used to annoy about SE phones. To end this rant (thank God I hear you cry) I cannot wait for my SE K750i to arrive. Sony Ericsson has never failed to impress me over the years and have never let me down yet. I do not expect them to start now. (The only eason why I haven't given it 5 Stars is that I haven't got it yet!!! SE get 4 stars just for releasing it HA HA HA!) WATCH THIS SPACE………….

this has got to be one of the best camera phones around at the moment: its got a 2 megapixel camera! The features all work perfectly, and the battery life isn't half bad either. If you are looking for a excellent phone that isn't 3G, then this is the phone for you!

The multimedia capabilities of the K750i are exceptional for such a small, solidly built device, the phone itself measures a very respectable 100 x 46 x 20.5 mm. With an in-built modem, Infra Red, Bluetooth, FM Radio, MP3, MP4 and video file playback capabilities, the list is even more impressive considering its diminutive size. A very high quality screen rounds off the handset nicely, 170 x 200 pixels in size, with a colour depth of 262,144 colours the K750i represents an excellent all round package. Featuring a 2 mega pixel integrated camera with extra features such as 4x digital zoom, auto focus and ‘photo light’ (a flash to us mere mortals) the K750i has blatantly been designed to meet the increasing demand for quality pictures on the move. Overall, as someone who likes the Nokia menu system, I was truly surprised by the progress Sony Ericsson has made in this department since the T610. The ease of use of the menu system on the K750i had me hooked; it was fast, slick and very pretty. The themes and animated wallpaper functions were nice touches that gives each and every owner the chance to truly personalise their K750i… If you are in the market for a new mobile in the coming month’s then I would give serious consideration to the K750i. It is an awesome phone and, in my opinion, the best on the market at the moment. The likes of Nokia and Samsung should be quaking in their boots!

The new Sony K750i is one hell of a tool, all that you need for this liitle compact Mobile Phone, I thought the K700i was good but this K750i is allot better. The 2million pix camera gives good results has every you will ever need and more (just beware of people selling car chargers that fit the k700i stating that they fit the k750i but they are not the same charger.) Would recommend this phone as one of the best on the market today. 5*****

Awesome phone. I've upgraded from the K700i and the K750i is a real step up. I Grabbed a 512MB Duo card for a decent price of £44 to use with the rich sounding mp3 player. I've had the phone a couple of weeks now and I can't stop picking it up lol. The camera is stunning quality in good light and inside it's still a big improvement on any other phone I've had.

I have had the S/E K750i for a week and I cannot find anything bad to say about it. The camera is FANTASTIC, especially for macro shots... you can view shots taken from it as a full screen computer image (once downloaded to your pc) and they still look as sharp as any picture taken on a digital camera. I upgraded on O2 from a Samsung E700, originally to a K700i - which went back after a week as I found the camera and battery life poor. The K750i put these niggles right and I'm not regretting my decision to go for this rather than the Samsung E720 (it was the radio feature, sadly lacking on the Samsung models, that swung it for me). The call quality on the K750i is excellent and, despite my playing with it nearly all day every day, I'm getting a good couple of days out of the battery - which I expect to increase as the novelty of this brilliant gadget wears off. There are too many features to crow about, but the VideoDJ is a fun feature, allowing you to cut together clips of v ideo and/or photos to a variety of themed soundtracks... hours of endless fun for those bored thumbs! Having read through the previous reviews, it seems that the T9 pop-ups are an annoyance to people - can I point out that these can be turned off by going into "Word Suggestions, Don't Display" when in the Write New screen.

Okay I've now had this phone a wekk, following on from my trusty K700i, a T630, a T610, T65 and T35 - seeing a pattern here? Okay the K750 is, effectively, an upgraded K700 - so if you've used one of those phones then nothing will be a surprise to you. The menus are virtually the same, as is the spec: bluetooth, IRDA, tri-band etc all present and correct. What has been improved is the screen (which is even better than the k700 - a screen that was a HUGE improvement over the T630/610s) which now boasts 256k colours and a faster update (even in Night mode on the camera) and the camera which is now up to a full 2.0 Megapixels, has autofocus (as opposed to fixed focus)a 4x digital zoom (that actually works this time)and a truly superb flash bulb. We also gain a working speaker phone which is useful, but not good enough for the car and a memory stick to store your pics/MP3s on. We also have a new cancel and return button which improve navigation and a shortcuts button which is sort of useful... Problems noticed so far: The keypad has to be manually locked each time, which means you can accidentally dial out of you are not careful (there may be a setting that fixes this, but I haven't found it yet) and, most annoying of all, I don't seem to be able to get the phone to show me who is ccalling, instead it only shows me the number. again there may be a menu fix for this, but if there is I still haven't found it yet. Another minor grumble is the change of the interface at the bottom of the phone, which means your old chargers and peripherals won't fit. However this is the first change to this connection in my entire time with Ericsson (now some six years) so it is not really a grumble. I have an Ericsson HBH-600 hands free and it synched up easily via Bluetooth. I still have problems getting the phone to connect to my PC, but that is a problem with my PC as none of the last four phones have connected happily (though they all do to my laptop). When you sync your phone with your contacts, calendar and tasks in Outlook, the phone is extremely powerful. Basically the K700 was the best phone on the market at the time of its release, the K750 continues that trend. Reports of short battery life should be taken with a pinch of salt as the K700's battery needed to be charged and used a good dozen or so times before it got near to the published specs. My K750 (without Bluetooth on) has lasted five days on standby so far and has 25% power outstanding (I have made about a dozen calls in that time of 1-2 mins each and sent several texts) which I class as being good performance. To sum up, if you like Sony Ericsson phones then this is a logical place to go (esp with the free upgrade deals that are being bandied about). If you use Nokia or Samsung, then I would strongly consider you take a close look at the phone. The texting will work an odd way and the joystick will take some getting used to, but the feature may well win you over. If you used a siemens or LG then I strongly recommend you look at this phone and realise what you are missing out on. IMHO this is the strongest phone on the market this summer, it really is that good.

This phone is amazing!!!!!!My cousin Aqeel Malik has it so I went and got it too. Now we swap things and play on it all the time. So to all you k750i haters out there, we'll blow you're planet up. ooo i like!!! Phone has camera, yes? is goood! just slip off lens-cap and it is camera. and it comes with datacable. Bad points: Keys don't feel stable, text input is bitch, and with my nokia (7650) i could call people out of the group window, that was fastest ever, but here only dail from big contactlist. Good points: battery lasts week, yes? Phone looks goods. Camera is nice, memory is nice, you can program shortcuts for joystick moves, say, for calendar, or for silent mode, or for selecting prrrrofile... I give four stars!

As a long-time Ericsson user, I am perhaps a little biased, but this is an excellent phone let down by a few irritations. The four-way button used on the T65 was far better than this annoying nipple that Sony introduced. The keys used on the T65 have not been improved on in any SE incarnation - sad, but true. And finally, there are a few issues that could easily be resolved by the SE software authors. As some-one has mentioned, the calender is not very flexible. The pop-up when texting in T9 is annoying and a bit pointless. But that is about it. No phone-makers have managed to improve the voice and sound quality in the quantum leaps that they have managed with their cameras, but we all know that and -ironically, since that is the primary function of these devices, we never moan too load about it. If you do purchase a K750i, you will not be disappointed - for everything else it does what it says on the box and it is a very reasonably priced deal in the UK at this moment. Finally, a general rant: I resent the insistence of providers that they 'customise' certain aspects of a well thought-out unit. This is generally a fault of service providers rather than the phone manufacturers and the manufacturers must find it a bit annoying that months of hard work designing something can be messed up by idiotic zealots in a marketing department. Funny how often these customisations centre around making it difficult to know when you are online, difficult to know how to get off line and the fact that you arrived online with the push of a single button.

Top Phone, if you have huge files on there it can be prone to a bit of a freeze when trying to access other files within that folder. Also my backlight seems to stay on for too long when in clock stand by mode (occasionally), also when left on overnight (once) it had a total freeze in the morning requiring the battery to be taken out. Though i reckon this will differ from phone to phone, possible bugs. Having a tiny bit of trouble hitting the centre (joystick style) button every time, i.e. it'll bring up a short cut rather than the main menu I wanted. Camera qual in natural daylight is quite amazing, though may look into the add on flash when it comes out as when its dusky quality reduces, but to be expected. Especially for its size I think it has to be the best phone you can currently get. There are always going to be tiny details your not going to like on any phone but really minimal on this one. I think the battery life is really good, obviously the more you play with it the more you'll kill it. The speaker is good enough to listen to MP3's on (in quiet areas). Buy one, or wait for the W800.

I would buy a 6230i but when I saw this I changed my mind! It is magnificent phone!this phone is a very good phone. the black makes it look official and the size is just perfect. when i first saw the k700i, the only thing i thought was missing is a changable memory card. thats where the k750i came in. so all in all, thanks sony

This phone is awesome. This phone has everything you need I use it for: Camera, Video Camera, MP3 Player why buy a digital camera or IPOD if you have a K750i. THIS PHONE ROCKS

Come back Nokia, all is forgiven! I sent my Nokia 6230 back because of a problem with the network and was advised by them to get a non-Nokia phone to avoid the problem recurring. I chose the K750i because I thought it would be a step up from the Nokia 6230, but with all the features I rely on: camera, video, MP3 player, calendar. However, the user interface is absolutely infuriating. I thought it would get better with practice but it hasn't. It is hard to find things, the predictive text is really in your face with all its pop-up prompts. I guess it's a case of "once a Nokia user, always a Nokia user", for me anyway. The K750i's keys are too small and the 2 key is even smaller. The thing that has made me want my old 6230 back is the calendar: it would be easier to use pen and paper. You can't store birthdays and memos, only "meetings" with a defined start and finish time. You can't repeat events, whereas I need to have things repeated daily, weekly, monthly or annually. To be fair, I have given it a couple of extra stars because the camera is AWESOME for a mobile phone. 2 megapixels, autofocus and 4x zoom make it the best phone camera on the market. But I have a separate digital camera anyway for hi-res shots. When you use the camera on this phone, you can bypass the menu system by just sliding off the lens cap and pressing a button on the side - feels like using an ordinary camera. Very quick and easy. If only they had made the other features so easy to use. For the price, I am very surprised. I can't wait to get rid of this, and will try the Nokia 6230i. Despite Nokia's problems, I guess they are just a lot more user-friendly.

this phone is absolutely great. i havent got 1 yet but i've used my mates. the screen is awesome but what can u expect from sony ericcson. the phone is really easy to get used to and syncronises with the computer easily. the joystick on the front isn't at all fidly. if your not stupid you will go and buy this phone! i certainly am. big up to all you people who have already got one.

Only had the phone a short while, if fact I will be sending it back, poor battery life, to many keystrokes to do anything, totally mad operation compared to a good phone. memory card hard to remove, very very dissapointed!!!!!

I have had the phone for about 2 weeks and am v happy with it! at first i could not use mp3s as ringtones because of the vodafone branding on the phone :-(,if you have this problem download se drm packager works like a treat! had the d500 before this the camera on the sony is awesome!! took a picture in pitch black with night mode and light on and it came out perfect. the only downside (which has nothing to do with the handset features)is that vodafone only do the phone in a silver version :-( i would prefer the black model

I have used the k750i for quite short time yet. Within the period, I have not experienced any problems with the phone. It is exelent quality, easy to use, quite modern technology, but a few to mention. I strongly recommend that try it for your self and you will never regret. My only fear is the battery which I think maybe with a short life span. And again as a new phone on the market it may not be easy to get other accessories for the phone.

This is probably the best phone i have had to date, and I must've had hundreds. Last phone was a Samsung D500, and for picture quality it is far superior. Music plays superb on the phone, radio is also very clear. Only one prob, and it is very rare, but sometimes the movies become out of sync with the sound. Apart from that A******

Had this phone a few weeks now, very easy phone to use, excellent menus, and loads of features. The camera is really good, a lot better than my d500 and my old 6230. The joystick is taking a little getting used to, i so used to the nokia way, but you pick it up fast. Def prefer this to the d500, especially for texting. The radio and mp3 are hi quality, and I defo getting a nice large 1 or 2 gig mem stick to use it as a mp3 player. The phone is small and light, but not too small if u a regular texter. Down sides ... well the screen is not as bright as the d500 but is still very hi quality, and easy to read. Phone comes with usb cable and software ... awesome phone, you wont be dissapointed.

This phone is the best yet and there's no doubt about that, Im a nokia fan and wanted a 6680 but as yet coudn't get one for my network. but i have to admit this is good in every way and so easy to use, move over Nokia there's a new boy in town.

Have had the phone a week now and at present I can't fault it!!! Looks great, sounds great and feel great!! Always has Siemens / Nokia phones before and it is a vast improvement on these. The software drivers are a little clumbersome to go on in Windows XP and it would be nice to see a way of editing the phone list in an xls/csv file format but other than that GET ONE NOW...........................
