In a nutshell: An entry-level phone that's designed around
gaming, with a motion sensor and over 10 games pre-installed. It
also has a 2 megapixel camera with video, an MP3 player, FM radio,
Bluetooth and a memory expandable to 4GB. Available in Polar White
or Mystic Black.

The Sony Ericsson F305 is an entry-level priced
phone that has been customised for gaming. The
F305 has a motion sensor, so you can play games by moving and tilting
the phone. There are also dedicated gaming controls. Unlike most
phones where you get a couple of games and then have to buy more,
the F305 comes with a generous games package pre-installed:
Jockey (horseriding motion game)
Bass fishing (motion game - can you catch the
fish?)
Bowling (motion game)
The Sims 2 (life simulation game)
Jewel Quest 2 (search for hidden treasures in
this African adventure)
Racing Fever GT (classic driving-style game)
Tropical Madness (just plain silly)
Johnny Crash Stuntman Does Texas (you have got
to be kidding)
Asteroids (zap the rocks, baby)
Quadrapop Robotics (a bit like Tetris)
Lumines (brain-teasing puzzle)
As well as games, the F305 has a 2 megapixel camera
with video recording capabilities. It's a basic camera, but average
for this price range. The phone also includes a built-in music player
with stereo speakers and an FM radio too. You can use MP3 or AAC
tracks as ringtones. With 10 MB of built-in memory you've only got
enough space for a few songs, but the F305 does have a slot for
a Memory Stick Micro, and can handle memory sticks of up to 4GB
- enough for 1,000 songs (or more in AAC format.)
The phone has great battery life, and is quadband
so you can use it if you travel abroad. Bluetooth and USB connectivity
are both available.
The phone is a good size too, with a great keypad
and is nice to hold. The plastic casing doesn't feel like it would
take any hard knocks, but it isn't the world's most expensive phone,
so you shouldn't expect it to last for ever. We like the F305 -
it's inexpensive, fun, easy to use and has a good range of features.
We think it's well worth checking out.
Features of the Sony Ericsson F305 include:
2 megapixel camera with 2.5x digital zoom
Video camera
Display: TFT, 262,000 colours, 176 x 220 pixels
MP3 player (MP3/AAC formats) with stereo speakers
FM radio RDS
TrackID, PlayNow
MP3/AAC ringtones
Speakerphone
Sound recorder
Messaging: SMS, MMS, email
3D Java games with motion sensor
Picture wallpaper
Personal organiser functions
Connectivity: Bluetooth, USB
Internet: GPRS, EDGE
Memory: 10 Mbytes plus Memory Stick Micro (M2)
support up to 4GB
Vibration alert
Quadband (GSM 850/900/1800/1900)

Weight: 98g

IS quite a good phone for gamers but not for MP3 or things like
that. Agree as the message will everytime needed to send 2 - 3 message.
I'm so shocked when it says 2 message sent. Anyway, the game is
quite good but I found out that there is no USB cable. grrrr Rating:

within 3 days i had to return this phone back to the store! it froze
4 times and i had to pull the battery out to re-start it, the operations
were all very slow, and i could barely hear people during a call
(especially when using the speaker phone). it didn't give you an
indication of how many letters you were using in a text msg so i
always ended up sending 2 or 3 msgs each time. glad i got rid of
it! Rating:

"Very Cheap Plastic Looking" I was going to buy this phone and had
been waiting for it to come out. Went into The Carphone Warehouse
and the phone had come in that day so I asked to have a look. I
was very dissapointed with the cheap plastic look of the phone what
put me of from buying it. I am a very keen gamer so this phone was
perfect for me. I did own a SE T303 what has excellent build quality.
A real let down by Sony Ericsson… Bought a Nokia 5800 in the
end and I am very happy… Rating:
