Samsung
G600 Review
Phone rating:
In a nutshell: The G600 is a fantastic phone. It combines
fab looks with a superb 5 megapixel camera, a fully featured music
player and 1 Gbyte of memory. It avoids the touch-sensitive keys
of recent Samsungs, making it a totally practical phone to use.
We can't praise this phone enough - go on, buy it now! Available
in black, pink, purple and silver. The Belle version is a chic burgundy
colour that comes with free nail varnish - go for it, girls!
Best buy: *Free* with a free XBOX 360 or half-price line

Black, Pink
or
Purple; or £149.95 on Pay as you Go from Dialaphone
(Black or Pink).
The Samsung G600 brings the power of a 5 megapixel
camera into Samsung's now-classic slimline slider format. Samsung
just keep pushing the boundaries of what's technically possible,
and the G600 has an amazing spec and a beautiful design to match.
Samsung don't always make perfect phones - the E900
and U600 irritated some users with
their touch-sensitive buttons - but the G600 gets everything just
right and is destined to become a classic. Whilst it lacks the wow
factor of the LG Chocolate
or the Apple iPhone, it's just a
fantastically good phone to use with nothing to detract from the
experience.
At Mobile Phones UK, we like to start reviewing
phones with a look at the outside. Samsung's slider design has been
around for about 3 years now, and has replaced the clamshell as
the UK's most popular format. The G600 opens and closes with an
easy sliding action, and has a smooth silky finish that's glossy
but not a fingerprint magnet like some. The G600 is not an ultra-slim
phone like the U600, but at 15mm
it's certainly not a fatty. It's a good practical size, and at 48mm
wide it's a couple of millimetres narrower than some of the ultra-slims,
which doesn't sound like much, but makes the phone easier to hold.
The keypad is responsive when pressed and there are no touch-sensitive
keys. The screen is large at 2.2 inches diagonally, and with 16
million colours and 240 x 320 pixels is Samsung's best screen ever.
The camera is well protected behind the slide: to use it you open
the slide to reveal the lens and flash. Frankly it's hard to see
how the physical design could have been improved. 5 stars so far.
The G600's camera is a 5 megapixel beast with autofocus,
LED flash and 4x digital zoom. The only previous phone with a 5
megapixel camera is the enormous Nokia N95,
so there's really no comparison between the two. The closest competition
in camera terms is probably Sony
Ericsson's K810i with its 3.2 megapixel camera. Even though
the Samsung beats the Sony in megapixel terms, the K810i can still
(just) keep its crown as camera king for two reasons: better optics
make for a (slightly) better quality image and the K810i's xenon
flash beats the LED flash on the G600 for brightness. But still
the G600 is an impressive camera phone and Samsung are now very
close at Sony's heels when it comes to mobile photography. The G600
features two useful camera modes - panorama mode lets you take pictures
of wide views such as landscapes, and macro mode lets you take close-up
shots. There's a built-in picture editor, and direct printing to
a Pictbridge-compatible printer is supported. High quality video
recording at 640 x 480 pixels is also available.
After a camera, the next most important gadget
in a mobile is a music player, and the G600 doesn't disappoint.
It's Samsung's best music player so far. Every major format is supported
(MP3, AAC, AAC+, 3-AAC+ and WMA). There's support for wireless Bluetooth
stereo headsets - in fact there's support for dual headsets,
which means that a friend can listen to your music at the same time
if you wish. The G600 has a new music player interface with a dedicated
music library. You can create playlists and organise your music
by artist, album or genre. It's as easy to use as an iPod. An FM
radio is also built in. Memory isn't a problem either as the G600
has built-in user memory of 40 Mbytes plus a 1 Gbyte memory
card supplied in the sales package.
There are plenty of other features - highlights
include a document viewer, offline mode, Bluetooth and USB connectivity,
and quadband. Battery life seems to be quite good - you should get
a few days' usage, depending on how much you use the multimedia
features and the Bluetooth.
Can we find fault with the G600? Nope! Do we love
it to bits? You bet! The G600 is a very strong contender for Phone
of the Year 2007 and we'd be surprised if it isn't the best-seller
in the second half of 2007.
We've been surprised how many of our user reviews
have criticised the G600. The main complaint seems to be the camera.
We can only assume that people are using the wrong camera settings
(make sure that you set the camera resolution to maximum). The G600
may not be able to match the picture quality of the Sony
Ericsson K810i or the Nokia N95,
but it's still a darn good camera phone! The new Samsung
G800 is an even better camera phone, incorporating an optical
zoom.

I had one of these, now on my third... after about 2 weeks, whenever
someone tried to call me, the phone will restart and as others have
said, it doesn't even show a missed call... Not very pleased, tried
to get a different phone with Phones4u - they wouldn't do it as
the tariffs had changed... Maybe this one will fair better, if not,
I shan't be best pleased. Apart from restarts on incoming calls,
and not being able to choose a message tune other than the defaults...
I've got to say, it's a very nice phone... shame about the drawbacks.

I upgraded to the G600 from my lovely D600 and was horribly disappointed.
My biggest gripe is that it is sharp on the corners and digs into
your hand. Also the balance is all wrong, it kept flipping over
backwards if you take your hand off the keypad. Only had it 24 hours
and it's going back

This potentially could of been a great phone but it has basic retro
style menus with limited options. The camera is a little awkward
to use and many of the settings must be reset every time it is used.
The Battery life is poor coming up very short of the spec and the
phone generally needs charging every day at best every other day.
Your also not able to change the message tone which is archic. If
you're used to the abilities of the Sony Ericsson's K800i or Similar
this phone will disappoint you at every turn.

Upgraded to G600 from old reliable brilliant D600 upon end of contract.
Was expecting the usual embelished design and advances that Samsung
normally introduce... but, was exceptionally dissapointed with overall
design, appearance, usability and general interface. My honest opinion
- stick with one of the D-series - if you are already a Samsung
owner, you wont be dissapointed or if you are new to Samsung - well,
give it a go, you'll probably like it.

Got this phone a week ago and yes I am a Samsung virgin, I'm use
to my nokias and sonys but I have been impressed. The camera (when
set on highest settings) is ok, especially when transferred to my
computer as the phone's screen does not do the picture justice.
Getting right lighting can be a problem. Texts and MMS have been
fine up to now. Music player can be a bit annoying, could of had
a better design and better functions but still ok. Volume was low
but you can just change volume of song on computer then transfer
to phone and it does the job perfect. Battery is brilliant and bluetooth
headset is suprisingly good. I think best thing to do is check ALL
the settings before you start to use the phone properly and it will
work out just fine!

A phone with serious flaws: appalling instructions and user interface
makes it a real pain to do basic things like customising the ring
tone or stopping it from bleeping with every key press, although
I eventually worked both of these out. Also the bluetooth earpiece
supplied is a worthless Christmas cracker trinket, it relies entirely
on the uncomfortable earbud to hold it in place: reach up to answer
a call and it falls out leaving the user to fumble about on the
floor to pick it up. Not good when driving! I tried my trusty Jabra
earpiece with it; it paired up OK but the microphone gain was too
low for callers to hear me and there is no adjustment available.
The one thing that I really hate is that the phone has Bluetooth
but no voice-dialling; a startling and frustrating omission which
has caused me to arrange a contract cancellation as I'm still within
the cooling-off period. Another annoying feature is text messaging:
I usually send the same text to multiple recipients at once, this
phone limits me to ten at a time. More ridiculously, I have to keep
the slider open until all recipients have been sent the text: if
I close it sooner than this the remainder do not get sent and end
up in the drafts folder. The weighting of the phone means that with
the slider open it's very unbalanced and top-heavy. This means that
when texting it's very easy to drop the phone. The camera seems
fine after overriding the default settings but I don't need it.
Cameras on phones are a gimmicky toy to me; they're all rubbish
at taking photos and none have a decent USABLE flash in low light.
I didn't test the music player features or the radio as I have a
perfectly good standalone unit with excellent sound quality. Battery
life seems good even with Bluetooth activated and the phone is sleek
and shiny with an excellent thumb-pad control. Just a shame that
when the centre button is pressed the phone connects to the internet;
this is too easy to do accidentally and ends up costing the user
a lot of money. Something else which ruins the phone for me is that
I always use slide or clam phones so that they cannot dial 999 or
112 whilst in my pocket (forget keypad locks: when set every one
I've ever tried still allows these numbers to be called). With this
phone it's possible to activate the phone when closed simply by
pressing the two softkeys...DUHHH!! It then happily dials the last
numbers I've called and/or 999 whilst in my pocket and there's no
way to switch this "benefit" off! In conclusion: if you want a smart
looking phone and are prepared to put up with the annoying initial
set up it's an OK bit of kit for many users but a for me it fails
as it simply cannot do what I need it to do to even a basic level.
DO NOT BUY if you need to use Bluetooth and voice-dialling or if
you send bulk text messages.Certainly avoid it if you keep the phone
in your pocket. At this price-level, Samsung could have easily had
a superb phone but instead managed to snatch defeat from the jaws
of triumph.

After having problems with a Samsung D500 and another model E530
a few years ago I vowed never to buy another Samsung, but this new
sexy looking model looked great and had such good reviews on this
site I thought they must have improved by now. But how wrong was
I. The camera is rubbish, very fuzzy more like the old 1.3mp, its
not very loud when listerning to music. I have had trouble with
the bluetooth. If I have been listerning to the radio with the headphones
and then turn on my bluetooth handsfree kit I cant hear the other
person when i make a call, I have to turn the fone of n on to reset
it. Today I had a call and went to answer it by flipping it up and
it would not let me take the call which was very annoying. Also
the reception is not very good. Do you know what I like about this
phone........NOTHING. I wish I had read the consumer reviews before
i changed my phone I would have gone for the new Sony Ericsson K850i.
Simply avoid all Samsung phones I have learned my lesson now.

I've had my Samsung G600 now for 10 days and I am beginning to love
it, but... I broke the screen within 3 days of having it, not a
good sign at all which put me off, but... having taken the insurance
(£5.99 a month) for the 1st time I was lucky & swapped it for another
handset which I truly believe has a stronger face over the LCD display
making me wonder if Samsung know about this problem. I say problem
because the very first time I opened it using my thumb to slide
it up I noticed the sort of LCD 'wave' that you get if you press
too hard. It made me wonder about the quality of build but as I
say having swapped it I genuinely believe this has been fixed. The
other thing that I am not very keen on is that when you send a text
or picture message you have to wait until it has sent before you
can close the phone otherwise it saves it to the Draft folder without
the recipients name which can be a pain! But having said all that
I do love it too bits (sad I know, it's only a phone!) because although
it is not flawless, and by this I only mean with the sending message
problem, it IS very light and compact, it DOES have a good battery
life, it's camera and features ARE great (the panaromic feature
is well done), the menus are good, it has a very good music player
complete with a 1gb memory card supplied. It's is a very good phone.
I considered the Nokia N95 and know of people who have got them
but was put off by it's size and features that I may not use so
opted for the much slimmer but fully packed G600. It has stereo
bluetooth option for music playback and internet access complete
with Google. I strongly recommend this phone even though I considered
swapping it for something else, possibly the Nokia as I had an N80
before, especially as it broke so easily. I had it in my trouser
pocket with nothing else, took it out and the screen had cracked.
As I say I think that the screen problem has definitely been resolved
so I've nothing else to say but get this phone! Beg, borrow or steal
(metaphorically speaking, of course!) but get this phone, it's well
cool! 5 Stars *****

Things started out great with this handset but went very quickly
downhill from day one. Most importantly - the 5mp camera - the featurepoint
of the entire phone is terrible. Yes, I have it set to the highest
settings posible but it's barely better than my old 2mp N70. Proof
that it's generally not the pixel count that matters but more about
the quality of the lens that's used. Bog standard Samsung lens vs
the superior quality Carl Zeiss lens as found in the Nokia N series
phones. Hmmm. The MP3 player is functional but not spectacular -
if you already have a half decent dedicated player, I can't see
this replacing it. the buttons while better than those on the U600
are unresponsive muich of the time and two or three presses are
needed. As for texting, you can forget it from this handset - the
software is snail like and takes forever to catch up with your fingers.
Not the worst handset I've ever owned but probably the worst flagship
handset I ever have.

Read a few customer reviews with intrest, just thought i'd like
to add a few things. First camera 5mp rating can be misleading,
but with the file qaulity set to super fine AND resolution set to
highest you will get respectable pics. [Editor's comment: good point,
Marc. I wonder if some of the other folk here have their cameras
on a low resolution setting?] Focus and lighting can be hit and
miss, so if you really want a perfect pic take 2 or 3 so you know
at least one will be good. Set the phone to save to memory card
and learn the options/settings you have! I have no problems using
the PC studio software on XP, I personally find it fiddly. So i've
set my phone to sync through usb not PC studio. Then its simple
to view your pictures through XP software, you can then drag and
drop your pics to documents. Its also the simplist way to put mp3's
on the phone by just dragging and dropping direct to the memory
card.

Ok so it looks really nice, I was thinking of my old reliable samsung
D500 from years ago when I bought this. Now I have it, I dont like
it. The phone is slow and unresponsive when you push the buttons,
texting just isnt easy (its not something u would manage quickly
and on the fly) I was really disappointed in the camera, the k800
with a lesser quality camera can wipe the floor with this supposed
5 megapixels. The loudspeaker is really quiet too.... and see if
I press the loudspeaker button its generally because I want the
phone on loudspeaker!... so why have a confirm option come up first?!
How many menus do you want to go through to send a text?..... if
you are having an affair, there is absolutely no chance of mistakingly
sending a text to the wrong love interest!! thats for sure. (new...
recipient... recent... add..... type... send?) I also dislike the
corners of the phone which dig into small hands when texting, therefore
its a 2 handed effort to text, one to hold one to type. Its not
user comfortable. I know not everybody is interested but the little
extras (clip art, daft message tones etc) are all missing its just
very bland. It feels of good quality, nice weight, and a good looking
phone but each day I find something else I really dont like (had
the phone 4 days)If it had one thing that impressed me ie camera
or features then I probably would keep it but it is definitely going
back. Sorry, I wanted it to be great.... not so!

Absolutely love this phone. First thought when i opened it was that
it was quite a masculine looking phone, but i had the choice out
of this or the d900i but i chosee the g600 as it was a better phone,
even if the d900i was definately better looking. So easy to use,
phone charged very quickly and contacts appeared straight away from
sim. Ive not had a samsung phone before, so the layout was new,
but i found it was even easier than Nokia's. The music is perfect,
great quality and, with the 1 gig of memory, can take alot. Camera
is awesome, took me a while to get the hang of it, but its still
good. The only downside is that you have to hold it in position
for around 2 seconds after taking so it doesnt blur. My absolutely
favourite part of the phone is being able to make your own display
settings. So easy and great to be able to personalize a phone like
this. It took me ages to decide this phone over the d900i but im
so glad i piked this one. Apart from being a bit masculine, the
screens massive and doesnt get dirty at all. Plus when the phone
is not slid up, you can access all the menu's and do whatever needed
without opening it. Perfect. Great phone, nothing wrong with it
at all, definately buy it!

OK it’s not perfect, but it’s still a very good phone.
First thought was the build quality, it feels rock solid when you
hold it, got quite a surprise when I took the back off to insert
the SIM as the back is plastic! It doesn’t give that impression
when you hold it. Phone Book move was perfect and came across in
it’s full structure and not as individual contacts per number.
This was done in well under 5 minutes: Sync Nokia 6280 with MS Outlook
and then Sync the G600 (via PC Studio which does work on XP) to
MS Outlook. It’s been a while since I last used my E900 but
I very soon found myself getting back in the swing with the Samsung
Menu Layout. I love the Contact Name that comes up on the SMS Received
Notification, that’s a great help for me. No problems with
Volume Levels here and the Camera seems very good, even with Flash
Use! Great to see the G600 coming with a Good Quality Bluetooth
Kit in the Box and also a 1Gb Memory Card in the Box. A couple of
small issues for me, but not problems! 1 - It’s a little uncomfortable
to hold when on a Call if you’re Charging the Phone. The Cable
is right in the place where the Phone would sit in the palm of your
hand. 2 – Also when on a Call I found that my thumb position
seems to get in the way of the Signal Strength Sensor! Just a slight
move of the thumb and Signal goes straight back up to Full Strength.
Right, now have to go round the house and gather up all my Nokia
Chargers, almost one in every room and one in each of my travel
bags. To me that’s all Nokia has going for it at the moment,
a Charger for almost All their Phones, wish Samsung would the same!
D600 / E900 / G600 and three different Chargers. All in all I would
recommend the G600, it’s a Very Good rock solid Phone that
does the Job!

its that much better, it does not feel as comfortable in my hand,
the bottom of the phone hurts my hand when i’m using it, it’s
too square. the camera pictures seem the same to me, it heavier
than the D600e, and i don’t like the centre button connecting
me to the internet but i can’t change this option. Like It
looks great, the 2.5” screen is great, the software is better.
Conclusion I would have preferred a software update for the D600e

I'm very happy with the phone, its just right for my needs. I like
the feel of it and its build qaulity, glad they did the screen surround
out of metal to give it strength, as the old D900 was prone to breaking
due to flex. And its a nice compact size thats just right. I like
the menu layout and features, o.k they may be a bit fiddly in places,
but once you've familarised yourself with the menu you soon learn
to navigate all the features easily. And there are plenty of things
to play with. The features are not perfect, but true perfection
is hard to find, i've not found how to assign mp3's to txt messages
yet, but thats hardly a major let down, I can forgive that with
ease. The screen is excellent nuff said about that. The music player
is very good, its not as good as a stand alone mp3 player but as
a back up when your bored perfect! The standard headphones are o.k,
but better ones do improve the sound slightly. As for camera I know
that some of the Sony phones and Nokia N73/95 do pruduce better
pictures I knew that before I bought the phone. I'm sorry to say
it if you bought this phone cause it has a 5mp camera and you believe
that this will make the camera awesome then your a fool, sorry.
But really with all the settings turned up, the pictures are very
good for a phone, again its perfect for those odd snaps when you
don't have a proper digital camera at hand, I use it for work to
i'd fungal brackets on trees, on macro its excellent and highly
detailed, although the lighting and focus can be hit and miss. Battery
life is good. And don't forget that you get a bluetooth headset
and 1gb card included with the phone. So all in all a very good
all round package. I repeat: The 5mp thing is a gimmick, it does
improve the quality but only marginally, it has more to do with
optics, the difference between 3.2mp and 5mp is the size of print
you can make, a decent 3.2mp camera will take just as good pictures
as a 10mp on a standard 6 x 4 print. Maybe one day there will be
a phone that has a built in camera and mp3 player that is equal
to the stand alone products, just not yet.

Had the D900 before this which i loved and this one's growing on
me everyday. G600 isnt as slim although it is better built with
metal covers. They've change the menu quite a bit and you can create
your own themes which is fantastic. Havent noticed much difference
in camera quality tbh except for it being much faster but the video
has improved drastically and can record at VGA!! Havent tested it
much but the music player also seems better in all departments,
eg sound quality, interface and battery performance, from the D900.
As i said before, the main drawback of this is the size if you're
used to the D900 and not quite as sleek looking but it is more powerful
on the multimedia side and battery seems to last more than 2days
so it's definitely a worthy upgrade!

It's excellent. You do need to change the setting from i.e. up the

sure you change it to store on Card as you'll soon eat up the 40Mb

I hate the way the files in the memory card have their own seperate

This phone is rather awful. Technology is supposed to progress with
time not regress. The much hyped 5mp acmera is a good deal inferior
to the SE K800i of 3mp. In fact I would go as far as stating the
camera is rubbish, blurry and the settings fussy and irritating.
The operating system is dreadful and clumsy. Not thought out well
at all. If you have numbers backed up on yur SIM too then the address
book shows all the duplicates and no you can not import from your
SIM that has spent time in your SE because the import erases any
2nd number you have stored on a contact. This phone looks great
and will seduce many into making a purchase but realistically, it
is only going to disappoint you. And when you are dialing a numbery
ou will ask yourself, 'who on earth thought having the numbers animated
with a quil would make our lives more fulfilling?'. Very immature.

**Good points*** (in no particular order) feels good in your hand,
nice large and bright screen, slider springs open and closed **Bad
points** poor themes, texting takes a bit of getting used to, disappointing
camera. Let me expand on that for a sec - it's 5mp but do not compare
it to the outstanding N95 camera. OK it's "good" but not as good
as you'd expect. The flash has a slight pink tinge to it for some
reason. The video camera is alright (better than a Sony Ericsson
thankfully) but again not as good as the N95. Annoyingly you can
only use one of the 4 preset text alerts - I say 'annoyingly' as
this was supposed to be the replacement for the U600, which actually
allows you to use mp3s as alerts. Speaking of which, the mp3 player
is adequate. Nothing special but as good most other phones these
days. All things considered it's a pretty good phone but sadly just
short of 5 stars. This phone could have been so much more!

The G600 as described above is a great phone, however there are
a few disadvantates which to be honest I am not surprised that Samsung
have not addressed by now, the first being, you are still limited
to how many messages you can store on your phone, 200 to be exact,
while this seems a lot, you can soon eat up that amount if you wish
to keep that special message or 2. The second disadvantage you have
only got a choice of 4 Message tones, booooooring, I still think
the camera is not great, it looks more like a 3 mega pixel rather
than a five, come on Samsung, address these two problems and you
would have a great phone. Phone tender of the year, nope, N95 is

Only got my handset Saturday 8th September but it's already been
returned to the store for a replacement due to it unexpectedly restarting
itself off whenever I received an incoming call! Even worse, it
hasn't logged the calls so people have been unable to get hold of
me for two days and I've no idea how many calls I've missed! This
is the same problem as John below and - according to the store -
the second one they've taken back out of about 40 handsets supplied
so far. So a failure rate of 1 in 50 - good or bad? Apart from that
- which I'm hoping is just a duff handset rather than an inherent
fault - the phone initially seems very high quality. Up until recently
I had a U600 upgrade from my work contract which I hated from the
moment I received it and which eventually went on E-Bay. Happy to
say this is not the same disaster as that, and it feels much sturdier
and better made. Peculiarly, it doesn't take the same charger though,
meaning you'll have to buy yet another one if you need a second
charger for work use. This also means that your U600 earphones will
also be incompatible with this. Despite it being a lovely handset,
at the moment I can only give it three starts due to the resetting
problem - especially since I now know I'm not the only one who's
experienced this!

up to be. Firstly the build wasnt great with a bit of play in the
slider and i didnt expect it to last for the full term of the 18
month contract. Writing texts was slow as the keypad isnt very tactile
and the top row of keys were harder to access because of the top
part of the slider. After 3 days of having the phone i started to
think people didnt like me anymore...until i got my wife to try
phoning the mobile, as soon as she did it switched itself off and
then restarted with no indication of a call ever having been recieved.
I also found the menu system to be very slow and frustrating, accessing
things like photos takes ages, the camera while fairly good was
very slow so you will never catch anything moving. Another thing
which was a pain was the pc software which doesnt really work with
Vista, i manged to get aspects of it working but compared to the
software i got with my new Nokia its garbage.

A fantastic phone which will stand the test of time for sure. The
only problem I have encountered so far is that I cannot get it to
load onto the desktop of my mac. This is probably an error on my
part, I hope, and one which I will hopefully resolve real soon.
If anyone can help me with this in the meantime I would be grateful.

Wow! To start with, BUY THIS PHONE! I have no hesitation in saying
that the Samsung G600 is the best phone I've EVER had! The central
point of this phone is the camera. I have got rid of my digital
camera because in mega-pixel terms this has more! The camera interface
is very usable, perhaps not a simple as the one seen on cyber-shot
phones. Most camera phones like the K810i ect. have a good camera
and it stops there. They have poor music players and other fun applications
are rare. This cannot be said for the G600. The music player is
awesome! I am a fan of visualisations wich most mp3 players don't
give (including the iPod) and this does not dissapoint! It has very
nice visualisations! Overall the music player is the best I've seen
in a phone (even beats the walkman player!). Now this phone is also
a star at doing what a phone was made for. Phoning People! I found
signal and reception perfect. The texting service is great too.
I think this phone will be a legend like the flagship samsung slider,
D500. I urge you to go to your nearest phone store and buy this
phone! I did and I was not disappointed. Thanks!

i bought the phone recently and i feel its amazing. take it for
its camera, the music player and the wonderfull sliding action.
after long time i am really liking a phone very much. i am sure
this is the phone of year 2007. only possible improvement could
be with the flash, like the one thats used in k810i.

The phone looks great, the camera takes nice pics and the mp3 player
sounds good too. The auto-search on the radio is a little poor,
but with manual tuning it doesn't take long to add your fav stations.
The biggest headache is the dumb software, PC Studio, which even
when it SAYS it is connected to the phone, refuses to actually do
anything. It just comes back with the message "The operation is
timed out!" (excellent grammar!) This makes installing all of your
contacts for the first time either laborious or expensive (sending
vCards from your old phone).

This is the phone we've all been waiting for. If you remember in
my last review when I talked about the Samsung U600, I said Samsung
should go back to the drawing board and come up with a different
phone, and not the same thing in a new shell. I think samsung has
done just that. This phone is superb. I expect it to win phone of
the year in the GSMA. It is all a man could dream of or ever want
from a phone. Panorama view when taking PICS of landscapes? Wow!
First of it's kind... The only thing short is a lack of an operating
system. But who cares? The phone meets every other expectation.
I absolutely recommend it to everyone. I'll get one myself when
it becomes readily available in Nigeria. I give it an absolute 5
Stars!!!!!!

Very stylish phone, excellent battery life, very easy to use, snazzy
interface, hasnt got 3G but still found the mobile internet to work
quickly. The camera maybe not in the Sony Ericsson K810i class but
takes a decent picture. If i had a choice between the Nokia N95,
Motorola RIZR Z8 or the Samsung i would choose the Samsung, it may
lack some of the features of the other two phones but reliability,
excellent battery life more than win me over!

Just got this on upgrade. Absolutely love it! The daft feather touch
buttons are gone and the 1GB memory means you can store plenty of
music and dont need to buy an additional memory card. A few features
have been moved around but very similar to the interface on the
D900 (my previous phone). By the way, the 5 megapixel is fantastic.
This phone got the goods!!!

This phone is brilliant. Exellent camera, loud speakers and still
has long battery life. The camera is a little better than the n95
not much difference on the phone, but on my computer the quality
is loads better. Worth getting if you like up to date phones and
use your phone alot.
