Software is the absolute issue: it hangs when you needed the most.
After using it for a little more than 2 years, I got tired of it.
Waited for its replacement, Nokia 9500. But it took SO LONG for
Nokia to replace it, i had no choice but went for an O2 xda2. There
you go Nokia! Don't sleep on it for too long. You always replace
other models so fast, but with communicator, you took your time
and let your loyal customers to go elsewhere.

This is a large phone. However I travel heavily and this phone allows
me to do my email, run various apps that are important and be a
pretty good contacts database. The screen is great for reading books,
which works really well. The 9500 which I've seen certainly improves
on the cons of this phone, weight, thickness, Bluetooth, wifi and
tri-band. If I didn't travel so much I'd go for a smaller phone
but the 9210 is a pretty good phone.

Nokia was producing a series of good phones but then broke it by
introducing a DISASTER......Nokia 9210: .Too bulky .Too big .Too
heavy .No good applications .Nothing fancy .Not very attractive
...... and so the list goes on ..... DONT BUY THIS NOKIA DISASTER,
IT HAS PUT NOKIA TO SHAME!!!!

I think this is by far the best cellphone but only thing it lascks
is FM, Blue tooth, Tri-band and built-in Digital camera. Also change
the external appearance it can have a small colour screen outside
and try to put a much faster processor.

I had bought this in the UK.Now I'm using in India.I have a serious
problem with the reception. Some times even the entire signal is
disappearing and absolutely I won't be in a position to use the
phone.Rest of the features in ok. I tried to correct this reception
problem s times at Nokia care chennai. But almost crazy ,they had
it for a long time and once they delivered it went into the same
problem. The next time they did it free of cost and again it got
into same trouble.I don't understand who to cry.!!I was thinking
why I spent for this if Nokia doesn't correct your problem.I sincerely
feel Nokia lacks in service and solving problems.Nokia is a great
design and marketing company but not a service oriented company. Also
the screen is very sensitive!!it breaks even if the phone falls
down with the big case. Will anyone help me out to make this phone
back to life. Please mail at jagadish@sfa.co.in

Outstanding phone. Most of the detractors probably do not ned the
features of the 9210. It is larger than a phone but includes full
keyboard with wide screen and more applications than any competitor.
Where else can you send/receive a fax on the train, send and receive
email, including attachments, have full internet access and a decent
outlook sync diary with full month view to include the days activity?
I gave had every one of the communicators from the original 9110,
9110i, 9210 and have the most recent 9210i. Only disappointment
is the lack of bluetooth, this really would be useful for sync and
to deal with UK car phone laws. If you need a tool for work, buy
this - if you want a toy, buy the P800. I have a P800 that I was
told would do all the 9210i did + bluetooth. Gave it to my kids
to play with, they liked the 'draw in colour' feature. mail shaun@themotor.co.uk
if you are in any doubt!

THIS PHONE IS TOO BIG AND BULKY, I CAN NOW SAY I HAVE CARRIED A
TELEPHONE BOOTH IN MY POCKET. IT WEIGHS AS MUCH AS A CATHEDRAL,
AND I CANT TAKE IT TO WORK BECAUSE I WEIGH 70KG AND THE PHONE WEIGHS
950KG, SO I CANT USE THE LIFTS OR ESCALATORS, LAST TIME I USED THE
ESCALATORS, THEY BUCKLED UNDER THE SHEER PRESSURE FROM THE PHONE,
AND WHEN I LAST USED THE LIFTS, THE SUPPORTIG BEAMS COLLAPSED, TRAPPING
ME! IT BROKE THE SCALES WHEN NOKIA TRIED TO WEIGH IT, SO NO-ONE
REALLY KNOWS HOW MUCH IT WEIGHS, I TRIED TO WEIGH IT ON SPECIAL
SCALES, THAT THEY USE FOR WEIGHING ELEPHANTS, BUT THE DIGITS WOULDN'T
GO THAT HIGH. IF ANY ONE HAS ANY COMMENTS ABOUT THIS REVIEW, KEEP
THEM TO YOURSELF.

I think this is by far the best cellphone I have ever laid my hands
on. But it can be better: Make it tri-band, make it thinner, put
faster processor on it and please put blue tooth hands free headset
as an option for it, and you'd have the best fone in the industry.
I would not hesitate to invest a huge sum for it and Im sure a horde
of followers would do the same...

No phone as of the moment could beat the Communicator. Full of applications,
games plus the Microsoft like apps. It may be bulky but it can come

the 9210 is a fantastic phone but sadly it lacks of battery life
and is like carrying a brick round with you. having a built in lap
top is fantastic but it lacks features. the phone is absouloutly
HUGE and costs loads. if i wanted a laptop and a mobile phone i
would buy a laptop computer that actually does something and a decent
phone like the samsung t100. it would be much more worth the money.
the 9210 is handy though when you are on the train or bus or something
because you dont have to carry a big laptop when you can take a
smaller thing like the 9210. is handy for word processing and reminders
but i would find it much easier to just type a text in a mobile
phone and save it in my messages rather than do full word processing.
keys on keyboard are to close together and typing is hard. well
done nokia but sad battery life, features, and keys. i have now
given up on the 9210 and got a samsung a800. absouloutly fabulous
and much more worth the money.

Another excellent edition to the Nokia family, but this time in
a different syle. The name: 'Communicator' speaks for itself, and
the Microsoft Applications work very well. Ideal for those who travel
and work in the world of business. Don't be put off by the boring
cover design - a superb phone! Well done Nokia!
