Nokia 7250i
Review
Phone rating:
The Nokia 7250i is an upgraded version of the
Nokia 7250. It offers XHTML support
for a better mobile browsing experience, plus improved camera functions,
enhanced MMS, and comes in a new range of colours. The built-in
camera offers functions like zoom, contrast adjustment, slideshow,
and a night mode for low-light conditions. The image editor enables
you to add text, frames, and clip art images. Enhanced MMS offers
delivery reports for sent messages, advanced group messaging features,
and image scaling to reduce message size. "Portrait image caller
ID" means you have the option of seeing a pre-set picture of the
person who's calling you.
Like the 7250, the Nokia 7250i incorporates an
integrated digital camera and offers most feature that people will
want: colour display, polyphonic ringtones, a stereo FM radio and
triple band, as well as Java capability. However, there is
no getting away from the fact that the 7250i has a poor colour display,
a poor quality camera and various reliability problems. A much better
option is the newer Nokia 6230.
Features of the Nokia 7250i include:
- WAP 1.2.1, GPRS
- High Speed Data (HSCSD) - max 43.2 kilobits
per second
- MMS (Multimedia Messaging
Service)
- Downloadable Java applications
- Colour display (4096 colours, 128x128 pixels)
- Polyphonic ringtones (MIDI format)
- 3.5 Mbytes shared memory
- Integrated stereo FM radio
- Integrated handsfree speaker
- Changeable x-press on covers
- Nokia
Pop-Port™ connector
- Infra-red and cable connections
- Downloadable colour wallpaper
- Screensaver: digital clock
- Speed dialling
- Phone book (up to 300 entries)
- 2 games (Triple Pop and Bounce)
- Clock, alarm clock, calculator, currency converter
- Size: 105 x 44 x 19 mm
- Weight: 92g
- Battery standby: 150 - 300 hours
- Battery talktime: 2 - 5 hours
- Tri band

Bought the phone only a week ago, used to have a 3410 so this is
very different, all in all its a damn good phone, looks good and
the shiny yet grainy cover is very cool!, its great to have poly
tones after years of mono ones!, the camera is good, not exactly
the best in the world but as others have pointed out its good to
take pics of mates, the family etc, you can adjust the contrast
and the night mode, doesn't make a great deal of difference in my
opinion, but what the heck!. The radio is very clear and works well
with the headset provided. I like Nokia, their phones are easy to
use and not poncey like the flip phones, they are c**p!, I will
always stick with Nokia, my phone has no probs with the wallpaper
etc, its on T Mobile, does this make any difference?, anyway, enjoying
having it, the worst phone i ever had was a siemens by the way!

Ive had my 7250i since the day it came out, as i previously owned
a 7250 which got stolen and replaced by this. The ONLY glitch with
this phone is when you feel like changing your wallpaper from the
Gallery folder, the phone re-starts itself, but mine has grown out
of that now. Camera quality compared to the 7250 is improved but
could be better. I was pleased to see the "Night Mode" function
on the camera which acts as a kind of digital flash. ONE other thing,
which is with all Nokia phones is that they do not have the ability
to send photos via infra-red, but thats no biggy. Cant complain
with the Radio or Games or any other features. Its a great phone.
Best Nokia ive owned so far.

Well to be very honest at first I thought this was a great phone,
but after about a few minutes of playing with it (yes the phone,
nothing else!) I was a little disappointed. The menu was just like
my 7210 which was a good thing and everything was going well to
I used the camera. It took a picture and was very disappointed with
the quality, then I noticed it was on the lowest mode so I put it
up to the maximum and took a picture. The quality was better but
still VERY poor. The main reason I bought this phone was for it's
camera, so I took it back. A good phone for features, but let down
with a very poor quality camera.

The phone is great.Yeah the camera may not be that good, but my
point is that 7250i is balanced. A 3650 doesn't have a radio and
is TERRIBLY HUGE,a 6610 doesn't have a camera and has low memory,
so what do you have? Of course, a Nokia 7250i,which has everything
you want(well, except the bluetooth). It is small, has built in camera
and radio, triband, light, and does not have an annoying keypad unlike
3650s.Also it has a strong battery. Mine lasts up to 5 days (with
abusive playing) before it turns off. About that wallpaper-crashing
thingy, all you have to do(as mentioned on the other reviews) is
go to display settings to change the background.Buy this and youll
be complete, just like me.

Nice phone, but picture messaging never works. I've had this phone
for about 6 months and tired 2-3 times to get vodafone live to work
(by using the web and upgrading system stuff as instructed), but
never got it to work. Everyone else i've seen with this phone (albeit
about 15 30-40 yearold techno savvy experts in the industry), haven't
been able to get picture messaging working yet either. Is this a
problem with everyone who has bought this phone, or just a hangup
with all Vodafone live users. I'm trying vodafone again, as last
time they changed 'security bars' or something, but still doesn't
work. Maybe its all marketing. But as someone who designs high tech
products, i kind of expected it to work after a couple of tries.

I've got both a Nokia 7250i and a SE T610, and I have to say that
the Nokia wins the contest for me. I used to have a T68i, and various
Nokias (3210, 8210 etc.). I know the T610 has bluetooth (which is
very useful if you want it), but I wanted a phone which was quick
and easy to use. The T610 has a horrible plastic screen which seems
to smear all the time + I can't see the current time when the screen
has gone into standby mode as it's just too dark. Also I find the
operating system on the T610 slower than the 7250i. I'm much happier
with the 7250i - ok screen isn't as big as the T610, but the 7250i
camera is good enough for me as I've got a digital camera if I want
to take quality shots in anycase! 7250i has a speakerphone, which
is great - only thing is that when using the phone in my in-car
holder, the speakerphone could be a little bit louder for better
hearing when in the car, and the display would be stunning if more
than 4096 colours - but apart from that, a great litt le phone!

got it dead cheap in the after xmas sale on payg on the orange website
but it took ages to deliver. I'm so glad i did'nt order it on xmas
eve and payed way more. I had the wallpaper fault but it has stopped
now. Picture quality is great in day but is no good at night. But
what do you expect from a phone, my digital camera is for pictures,
the phones camera is just a gadget. It has great tones and the data
cable is a must. (tip - buy a fake one of ebay for £30 less)The
fm radio is great and the loudspeaker sounds ok. I had a choice
between this and the n-gage, some of my mates got an n-gage and
now i know i made the right choice. If anyone wants a great, easy

A very poor effort from Nokia. However before I start I don't see
why people choose this phone then complain about the picture quality...
the camera is a novelty and I suggest you do your research before
purchasing a mobile. The main problem with this phone is the resetting
of the handset when trying to set a photo as the wallpaper. A simple
cure for this is to reset the time on the clock. The next time the
phone is turned off/on this function should work correctly. If you
are wanting to purchase this phone, think again. Although it looks
good on paper there are much better handsets available for your
money. There is no software update currently available to fix the
problems people seem to be having... but if your hearts set on this
mobile; I suggest T-mobile. Their versions of this Nokia actually
seem to be fault free.

The nokia 7250i is an outstanding phone, with a total of 4 mb memory,
integrated digital camera, integrated fm radio and much more. The
camera quality is good for a phone, keeping in minds the camera
is small compared to good quality digital cameras which are sometimes
much bigger than the nokia 7250i itself. The menu is simple and
you have the choice to change the layout from a list to grid aswell.
The night mode in the camera i think is amazing. Of course you need
some light for it to work but it does really work. The quality is
not outstanding but if you wanted to quickly take a photo of something
in the dark then it would work. Once the photos are on a computer
the quality is much better aswell, if you visit http://www.mobile-review.com/review/nokia-7250-en.shtml
you can see photos taken by the 7250. The radio is good, just plug
in the headset, tune it to the station you want and you are listening
to the radio, you even have the option to listen to the radion on
loudspea ker. The phone supports java so you are easily able to
download games and apps. Another great feature added is the image
editor., In the gallery when you open a photo you have the option
'edit imgae' in this option you can add text to pictures, clip art
and put frames around your pictures aswell. The phone has advanced
mms features, photo phonebook so when some one phones you you can
see the picture of them appear on your screen and much much more.
Overall an outstanding phone :)

Why are so many people complaining? The nokia 7250i is a great phone.
The camera quality is excelent for a phone and it looks great. The
phone price has dropped a lot and at The Link it's only £170 on
Orange. The only problem I have had with mine is that it keeps crashing
when trying to change the wallpaper. This can be avoided by going
to SETTINGS then DISPLAY SETTINGS and changing it from there but
I sometimes forget that and make it crash. Reception is very good
and there is an intergrated loudspeaker so you can hear the person
you're talking to without having the phone right next to your ear.
Overall a very good phone with very little flaws.

This phone is fantastic, I've only had it for a few days now but
it's honestly the best phone ever. The phones features are all good
with a quality radio and a great layout for the buttons. The camera
is pretty good too, despite what others think it can take descent
pictures even in low light conditions. Also nokia has lived up to
its reputations for easy used menus and features once more making
this phone simple to pick up and use right from the start. With
all the fabulous features of this phone the great colour screen
and many options for customising it make it a must have. Other reviewers
have put this phone down for having a lower resolution screen but
I found it fine, if u want a camera buy a camera, not a phone. Over
all this phone is amazing in my opinion, its easy to use, looks
cool and has a wicked menu system. This phone really is a great
buy if u shop around for the right price and I've only found two
bad points to it. The side volume buttons are a little hard to use
at first and the problem with setting the wallpapers (the one where
it crashes), you get used to the volume buttons and by setting the
wallpaper through the settings menu you can avoid the problem. So
there you have it the nokia 7250i, a new, exciting and quality product
from the nokia boffins which you HAVE to look into if considering
a new mobile. 10/10

is the solution. The phone hangs if you select the set as wallpaper
option directly from the photo just taken. It does not hang if you
select the set as wallpaper option after viewing a photo in the

work fine. It will only take you 20secs longer and there are no

This phone is excellent, no faults at all. It has high battery life,
excellent features and does everything a phone should do. For those
moaning about the camera quality, I think it's fantastic. There
are lots of options with it so you can edit, save or send. The people
who moan don't know what they're saying. Just because it has fewer
colour pixels than the Samsung, doesn't mean it's bad, in fact it
looks just as good. I've been reading a lot about people who are
saying that the phone goes off or something when they try to set
their wallpaper. I have a simple solution. You DO NOT go to the
GALLERY menu, then click VIEW FOLDERS, then PHOTO's (or GRAPHICS)
and then select a picture to have as a wallpaper. Instead, if you
do the following, I can guarantee that your phone won't crash or
whatever. Select SETTINGS from the main menu. Scroll to DISPLAY
SETTINGs, then click on WALLPAPER, then CHANGE IMAGE, then click
on either PHOTOS or GRAPHICS (wherever your desired image is) and
then when your image is up, select OPTIONS and finally SET AS WALLPAPER.
Easy as that! No more problems! The phone has incredible features
and is worth its money. You won't be disappointed. To get all your
features working, just ring your Network Provider customer service
and activate everything, like Picture Messaging and stuff - EASY!
The phone isn't heavy or bulky, and there are more features than
the 7250. You can have you menu as a grid, have font size in a text
smaller, edit pictures better. So if you're deciding between a 7250
and a 7250i, definitely get the 7250i. If you're thinking between
a Samsung V200 or the new E200 (I think!), then go for Nokia, they're
the best. I've tried the Samsungs and the menu's are hard, frustrating
and not really worth it. Go for the Nokia 7250i - an outstanding
mobile phone for anyone cos it's so easy to use! :P

Even now my 7110 allows me to complete functions that more modern
phones from other brands take ages to do, if you can figure it out
in the first place. (Ever used a Motorola?) I recently tested the
7250i and took to it like a duck to water. Ok, picture quality ain't
great, but how many pictures does everyone send? I'm sure a shot
from the 7250i will get the point across to whoever you send the
pic to. To those stuggleing with the resetting when changing wallpaper,
read the previous postings, you can get around it. As for the ringtones,

i got my 7250i yesterday. PROS: - camera. dont listen to the moaners.
for a mobile phone, the camera is good enough. i like it. it works
fast, you just press the up arraw and capture. takes a second. once
you transfer the images to your computer it look even better, obviously
we aint talking amazing quality here, but good enough to put on
a website or email. i havent got the data cable yet, so i had to
email an image to myself to check the quality. - screen. big and
clear. i like it. - looks. sexy little thing, nice and solid looking,
im not a fan of flip phones. only thing i dont like is that i ordered
'imperfect blue' colour but it looks more purple than blue. anyway,
covers are cheap so its ok. - radio. loud and clear, i like the
fact i can use the radio as an alarm. - put little portrait pics
of your friends by their names so when they call, you remember who
it is. trust me, it happens. i wont bother going ito the rest, ringtone,
wap, wallpapers bla bla bla, you know the score, its all same same.
CONS: - today is the second day im using it and the dreaded wallpaper
crash problem has come to haunt me. as i was changing the wallpaper,
the phone crashed. it kept happening and later on it sorted itself
out. the trick is to do it some other way, like go to settings>display
settings> wallpaper. and do it from there. but that aint good enough
for me, so i called for a exchange and i have a replacement on the
way, i aint taking any risks. - volume buttons. i dont know what
nokia designers were thinking. whether they thought this design
is sexy, sleak or just cool because its different, but its terrible.
i use the volume button alot, switching from headset, to loudspeaker,
to radio, etc, i tend to adjust volume almost everyday and the volume
buttons on the side of the phone are c##p. their not even buttons,
just a little piece of plastic that slightly sticks out of the phone
and i find myself having to use my NAIL to adjust the volume most
of the time. stick to the reliable dual buttons nokia. and thats
about it. cant fault it much more than that. i do like this phone
and am happy i got it. its a very good all rounder, but just falls
short of a 5 star for me. nokia can improve on the 7250i. 4 stars

I traded in my new Nokia 7250i for a Sony Ericsson T610 and have
never looked back. Only things I miss are the speakerphone and the
radio (a little bit). After the initial novelty value, the wow-factor
wore off quickly. Friends and family loved it but I soon got bored
and hit its limitations quite quickly. The T610 is streets ahead
with menu design and the ergonomics of the joystick control. 4096
colours just doesn't cut it anymore. The speakerphone used in radio
mode is pretty cool, but no bluetooth and the Nokia Suite software's
operation with cable and infrared is erratic. The cover/shell creaked
after a couple of weeks. Quality? I think not. Now I know why people
call Nokias boring. They just lack soul. They might be reliable
and easy to use but they are just the safe option for plebs. Anyone
with character will want a phone with attitude. Just like enthusiasts
will buy a flawed Italian car for its character, people who want
a phone to reflect their adventurous approach t o life will buy
a phone like the Sony Ericsson T610. It has proper contact management
with multiple numbers per contact and an email address: no more
repetition in your address book. Be average and buy this nondescript,

about this and they sent me to a nokia service point to have the
phone flashed, this fixed it temperoraly, but then the next moring
it did it again. i rang nokia again, this time they explained to
me that they knew all about the problem for ages, but still they
sent me to a service point to have the phone flashed for NO REASON!i
lost all my pictures, ringtones and numbers. i was annoyed by this.
i asked nokia when they will be bringing a new software version
out for our phones and they said they are still working on it!!!
this is disapointing nokia! another thing! why can the 3650 send
images and ringtones via infrared and our phone a newer model cant?
its stupid? i think nokia should of used the SYMBIAN operating system
used on the 3650 cos its a better user system. i was going to get
the nokia 3650 but the phone was just to BIG!

You guys are crazy. Ok, first of all the Nokia 7250i may have a
few faults, i have tested 3, however, i have also tried many other
colour phones and have found many more. Alot of you seem to like
the samsungs, well i tell you what they actually have ALOT more
errors that the semi-native Nokia's. Now as for screen quality,
ITS A DAMN MOBILE PHONE, you cant make a silk purse of pigs ear,
CHRIST. Once again the same comment for the camera. You look at
any 'Digital camera' (as you people claim this to be) they are huge.
You get a 'good quality' one, and they are large in size. Any person
with their brain switched on would realise that beacuse the phones
are small that the parts are not going to be as good as a USD$8,000
camera or a USD$12,000 TV entertainment system. You people have
to understand that these phones are small and hard to make. So i
conclude with this, The Nokia 7250 is a fantastic phone with great
features. I have also discovered a fix for the wallpaper 'error'
anyway. You just have to disable the wallpaper from within the gallery
menu and then activate a new wall paper, also within the gallery.
The phones has many useful features, an awesome phone through my

(2 motorolas, 2 siemens, 1 samsung an 4 nokias) I think every review
should start with that, the previous phone owned cos it seens that
some comments are very harsh an i wonder if some come from people
who are accustomed to a particular brand/os. Have just upgraded
through o2 from samsung t100 and am so pleased to have got back
that great nokia user friendliness that no other make seems 2 accomplish.
The main reason you've got a phone in the first place is to make
calls and send texts. Nokia phones are arguably the best at that,
everything else is a bonus! So there are phones with a slightly
better camera than this but the novelty soon wears off when it takes
u twice as long to send an sms! Have had the wallpaper problem but
easily got round and if this is the only prob on an otherwise top
drawer bit of kit, than compared to all other phones i've owned
it's irrelevant to my daily use. that has to be the only reason
i've not given 5stars. The handset is by no means perfect but i
think it's one of the best u can get at the moment.

Ive never purchased a nokia as Every bugger else has one and so
I have tried to avoid them. Anyway, I ended up chosing the Nokia
7250i as it was the only camra phone on offer for free so that must
say something! Truth be told, I was happy with it at first. the
nokia menu system does make a lot of sense and is quick to pick
up. I didnt like the way that it only shows a couple of menu items
on the screen sometimes when clearly the list could be shown more
clearly. Arghh, 2 days on and its started crashing on me!!! Normally
when trying to set a picture to wallpaper. I did have this problem
at first but I put it down to a poor charged battery so as my battery
is low I am trying to charge it up again to see if it will rectify
this crashing error. Picture quality is 24 bit but I cant pay 50
quid for a lead to connect it to my computer so Ill never know what
they are like unless I email them from my phone. True, I would like
40 polyphonic channels and billion colour display. saying that ...
I would need to spend money, this one is free and for god sake its
just a phone! 3 stars as digital camera, 5 stars for games as I
used to own a 48k spectrum and the games are comparabled to a 90's
sega or nintendo. 5 stars as a phone (ie. it has all the digits
from 0 to 9 and a call button) oh and it has loudspeaker and fm
radio. all for free and 200 anytime/anynetwork minutes a month on
vodaphone (30 quid a month).... Yeah. I think thats outstanding.
even if the gimicky camera doesnt work on a low charged battery.

Absolutely poor in so many aspects. It feels like Nokia needs to
improve it's technology. Many people were turned on by the neat
Nokia Black & White Phones which were nice but Nokia is getting
worse and worse with the modern phones. Firstly, the biggest problem
camera. It is suppose to be DIGITAL CAMERA like they advertise it
a,BUT! its only 4096 colour display! Obviously the photo qualities
are HORRIBLE!! The dots that creates the images are visible with
our eyes! Secondly, Polyphonic sounds..Can't believe Nokia still
creates 4 POLY sounds when other brands like Samsung is creating
40 POLY sound ringtones!! 4 poly sounds are just so lame and weak!
But due to many streotyped opinion of "Nokia is the best" many people
still decides not to look out side of the box and unfortunately
due to Nokia's popularity many Ringtone companys are still sticking
with 4 poly sounds for us consumers to download.. Very unfortunate
when we can have 40 polyphonic quality sounds... Next problem is
that the Nokia phones breaks down so often! Don't deny it I'm sure
your Nokia phone(Especially the colour ones) sometimes functions
stragenly! The worst factor is the cost! With the worst camera photo
quality and worst polyphonic sound quality (4poly..*not even 16
poly..)and worst Color Display (This is not my opinion, it's a FACT,
Go look at all the other rival company's camera phone models and
you'll see why and also try reading the experts reviews and comparisons)the
phone still costs heaps! This is not even including the pricy PC
Suite Cable. Overall you can easily say it looks fine on the outside
but as you get to know deeply inside...you will see it's many negative
aspect. Definately NOT recommanded. Try looking outside of the Box.
Not just "Nokia is the best in mobile" idea which is starting to
banish as Nokia continuously lacks in modern technology.

Well Well Well...! :) Before reading this review i had a glance
at others rants on this page as well :D . First off comparing 7250i
with 3650: 3650 although is the papashango of features in a phone,
it's way to big and it doesnt have a Radio, and radio being a big
thing these days in my country, i coudnt afford to miss it. and
also the rate at which the prices of the nokia 3650 are falling
is a clear indication that the "Big-brother" looks of the phone
hasnt been accepted by every Tom who's d*ic* is hairy . Some people
have suggested that a T610 over a 7250i, well Firstly As.of.today
it is more expensive than 7250i by Rs 2500/- ( pull out your old
mobile's currency convertor :P) and it doesnt even have a Radio
( to buy it as an accessory, you will haveto get poorer by a few
more bucks, around 2000/- INR ) Some people on this site say that
T610 picture quality is nobetter / slightly better than 7250i *******************************
well here are my 2 cents, 7250i has a really schweeet crisp display.
Other Phones like SE and Samsung seem to make using menus as hard
as rocket science, but Nokia's Layman's Menu Simply r0x! Even the
Sub-menu's are very neatly spread out and easy to remember. ( 14
- 1 -3- 4 is for allowing/disallowing cookies . See ? :P) . The
Radio Clarity and Reception is a perfect 10ner. Some people seem
to be too depressed about the polyphonic ringtone quality, hey i
dont think its bad *AT-ALL* . yes the phone does restart when wallpapers
are changed SOMETIMES. ** BUT ** this can be easily bypassed when
you do a ` 1) Go in to settings, display settings, wallpaper, and
change the picture there, it then stops it from resetting` . The
night mode in the cam is nice. The XHTML Browser renders pages very
nicely indeed. One thing i would like to mention is the overall
"speed" whilst browsing messages, text-input , opening images etc
is Really Snappy compared to the Sony-Erricson's. T610 owners seem
to convey that its a 36-24-36 , which i totally disagree. I prefer
the Compact and Slick Look of the Nokia 7250i better. as of today,
i have purchase this phone for Rs 15,000 INR with the headset. S.a.t.i.s.f.i.e.d

it has a 4096k display the picture quality is bad , it has nothing
to do with the color display, it's the pixels that the phone camera

Good phone, granted the camera isn't as good as the 3650, but I
have an SLR for that, and the pics are viewable on a PC, so ideal
for emails and personal websites. You can mms or email the pics
too, which is handy if you have free WAP minutes on the contract
too. The wallpaper bug, two fixes, 1) Go in to settings, display
settings, wallpaper, and change the picture there, it then stops
it from resetting. or 2) Go in to settings display settings, wallpaper,
and switch the wallpaper off and on again. Radio is good, especially
being able to store stations. Mine came with the headphones [o2
online, got it as part of an upgrade]. Glad that the cases cover
the camera [clear plastic circle] saves any worries about lens scratches,
the keys can be fiddly for a couple of days, but I got used to them
quicker than I would the 3650. Plasticky yes, but as it's in a belt
clip case most of its life not a problem. Easy connection to my
pc with the [optional] datacable, though if you're IR enabled on
the pc you 'can' do it that way, but alot easier cable wise. Overall,
a step up from my old 3330, and while the novelty of the camera
might wear off some day, still can't beat mmsing someone where you
are to meet them for lunch :-) Pleased with the phone, only the
slightly less quality camera gets it the 4 stars, but if I wanted
more than just snaps, I'd take my camera itself... G.

OK, I only got it a couple of days ago, and I'm already in love
with the functionality. But, I DO think it's overpriced. I was disappointed
the box didn't include even basic accessories, like the carrying
case or wrist-strap, that came as standard with my old 3210, years
ago. Now that I have a much more expensive phone, I view it as MORE
important that I should be able to protect it from bumps and scratches
- so why no protective case? I don't expect to have to pay extra
for this! To add insult to injury, the manual even explains how
to attach the wrist-strap that they don't supply. And no data-cable
for connecting up to the PC? That'a a blow. Car Phone Warehouse
(where I got the phone) didn't have one; neither did several other
electrical retailers I visited. My other main gripe is that again,
for such an expensive phone, the overall look and feel is, well...tacky.
It's a neat design, but far too obviously plastic - and not even
a sophisticated, matt-finish plastic, like the old 3210. This thing
looks like it fell out of a Christmas cracker. I feel they've gone
for novelty over quality. They've packed loads of features in, but
at this price, I expect it to look good too. Overall: Good phone,
but not great for the money, and falls down on those finishing touches.

pioneering nokia handsets have become renouwned for eg 8310. But...on

I bought my Nokia 7250i several days ago and it's great. I already
own a 7250, but that didn't stop me from buying an upgraded version.
It's what I've been wanting for in that model (still no Bluetooth,
though. Ouch!). Night mode makes pictures clearer 20 to 50% vs.
the 7250, and all upgrades are surely welcome. I have one complaint,
and take notice: whenever I change my wallpaper at the Gallery section,
the screen just goes blank and resets itself. Try again, and get
the same result. The only time (as far as I've experimented) it
goes back to 'normal' is when you go to the Settings menu and change
wallpaper in the Display Settings sub-menu. Afterwhich when the
phone is switched off and on again it goes back to its 'abnormality.'
A bug? I'm not sure, but I'll have mine checked w/ my local Nokia-authorized
dealer today (Nokia Professional). Mind you that I have accessed
various wapsites and downloaded ringtones, graphics, and Java apps,
and I think this may have something to d o w/ it. Before I bought
my unit, I was told that many cellphones (including the 7250i, of
course) are being repaired because these downloads corrupt the unit.
True or not, buyers beware. Well, at least that's my experience
anyway (my 'old' 7250 has yet to suffer from it). It's Korean-made
and comes w/ the standard one-year warranty. See you later and I'll
let you know more... Mabuhay kayong lahat!

after getting the 7250i as a replacement for the siemens SL55 i
am VERY pleased. the 7250i is an excellent fone, smart, simple to
use and has bold images. the integrated camera is also good. the
only thing i would change is that it's only got 4096 colour screen
but thats the only thing i can say i'd change about it. very good
quality fone.

Can anyone give a good comparison to the Samsung v200. I have a
choice of the two, but am not sure which to choose. I like this
Nokia 7250i as I've always prefered Nokia, they are much more user
friendly. the only thing that puts me off about this phone is the
fact that people are saying the picture quiality is not as good
as the samsung, I don't know what the Samsung is like so am not
sure - also the Samsung does seem to look and sound more slick.

is a great phone with almost al the gadgeds you whish for only one
thing it has no bleutooth and that's a bummer. the data cable that
you can connect on the nokia pop port is very expencive (in the
netherlands 86 euro) a nokia infrared receaver 100 euro so data
transmission is a bit expencive will you start but the cellfone
has got mms. the looks of the phone is very nice:)

I've had the phone several days now and I'm so impressed with it.
The buttons are bigger than that of the 7210 and so it's a lot easier
to text. Although the screen resolution isn't as high spec compared
to the T610, it's still good. There are plenty of features and the
built in camera is excellent. Navigation around the features is
as simplistic as ever. I did get a T610 before this, which was a
huge mistake. Fortunately the shop allowed an exchange. I've had
Nokia's since I've owned a mobile, and there's no reason to change.
Putting it simply - it's an excellent phone.

i have been a mobile user since 1995 and i've pretty much seen its
developments throughout the years but NOTHING was like the excitement
i felt when i got this phone and the pleasure i've had using it.
i've had 8 nokias (including a 6610) and the T68i of ericsson throuout
the years and with this phone i have to say that nokia has outdone
itself. has the user-friendliness of a standard nokia, the size
smaller many of the G3 phone available, great camera features, i
even found internet surfing so much faster than most of the phones,
only ericsson's T10 can compare. the radio has pretty clear reception
except when i'm inside a car with another radio playing (which is
understandable), the sound overall is a great improvement... and
with all lot more feature this phone has everything i wanted. i
always thought that nokia spread out mobile features across different
phones to get them to sell, but this phone has all the latest features
with the one exception of voice recording. gre at buy, i think i'm
going to stick to this one for awhile =p

ive had this fone for about a week now and am absolutely extatic
i got it. i had heard so many bad roumers about it but all of which
are untrue. the 4096 colour screen is fine for taking pictures because
of the number of pixels and the camera with its upgrade for this
version nearly performs to the high standards of the sharp gx10i.
the only down side is that the crapy shops r bein so stingy. they
cant even give u a head set with the fone so you can listen to music
on the intergrated fm radio. instead you have to go out and buy
a speaker set for 50 quid even though uv'e just splashed out on
a 300 quid fone.

I have just got one of these new nokias. Firstly, its a pretty stylish
looking phone and all the functions are the usual, easily understandable,
nokia functions. The colour screen however, is'nt as sharp as I
had expected and when you take a picture, you do tend to think 'umm,
its ok I guess'. But wait, although the pics dont look to amazing
on your nokia screen, they do come out very clear when you send
them to e-mails ect. And you can enlarge them to a 14" computer
screen almost fully before they become pix'ally. The ring tones
that come with the phone are pretty dull, but you can download some
good ones from the net. Sound quality is fairly good, both for the
radio and tones, and its more than loud enough. One good feature
is the handsfree speaker which you can turn on when in a call or
with the radio on, handy for other people to listen in. The car
charger is specific for this phone and you cant use your old nokia
chargers in the car or mains, so dont forget to get one for the
car. The head set id quite good and also stylish. It clips round
the back of your head so you dont get wires everwhere. Easy clip
on/off covers, unlike some of the older nokias. I like the feature
of being able to put a picture of the person in your phone book,
instead of just having a number and name. Appears quite good using
WAP or GPRS, and sending e-mails is childs play :) so easy ! Overall,
a nice little phone, stylish, easy to use with reasionably good
quality pictures and functions. No regreats about changing to this
one. From Greg, greg2g2@yahoo.com

update- I just purchased the phone (£275 sim free), wait for it....
all I can say is just wow, its the best phone ever, the camera is
just like the 7650/3650 which is a good thing compared to the ******
original 7250 one. the zoom feature is also great but be warned
u can not zoom While taking the photo but zoom to close up of the
pic AFTER the pic has been taken ( I was disappointed with that
but thats life). The new features such as portrait id work Very
well also main new feature the xhtml browser is just sublime. its
works very well with size of the screen pictures are bright and
colourful, I have only 2 complains I can not fathom why did nokia
opt for the "old" 4096 colour screen (why not upgrade to the 65,536
colour display) the most obvious complain that every one is asking
why o why are they still using 4 note poly ring tone the new Samsung
uses 40 note come on nokia what are u doing, apart from that I recommend
this phone to any one who like a phone for the style and features
and to those who want a phone with a xhtml browser but do not want
a brick of a phone such a the nokia 7650/3650

This is the phone that the 7250 should have been. The only reason
I didn't buy the 7250 was because of the poor camera functionality
of it. The "i" version now starts a trend of credible camera options,
but can still be improved.
