Nokia 7200
Review

rating:
The
Nokia 7200 is Nokia's first clamshell phone, and is visually stunning.
Its textile covers are certainly different, and quite tactile, although
durability remains to be proven. Downsides are the large size and
weight, combined with the small screen size.
It's
not a very highly featured phone, and is now looking quite dated
in terms of its specification.

This is the best phone i have ever had.iv had it for about 8 months
and not once have i had a problem with it,it does not lose signal
when you flip it down and it has very high quality sound, there is
plenty of memory i have about 30 downloaded animations and images, about
90 camera photos,,about 10 vidios and about 25 recordings on top
of about 20 ringtones and the picture quality is v. good and with
the night mode takes great pictures at night, the phone has a very
stylish suade design and unlike most phones has the simcard at the
front of the phone and the battery at the back so theres no fiddling
around, the screen is a little small but has a very high standard
colour screen, overall i would recamend anyone to buy this phone

When i first got this phone i was really impressed with the design
and features but after seeing all the different phones my friends
have upgraded to i've come to realise how outdated this is. For
a start the display is too small for a camera phone, the menu graphics
are a bit unattractive and the materials it's made of are a bit
cheap. It hasnt broken or anything but only cos i've taken good
care of it. There's also not enough memory if u want to keep loads
of photos and ringtones on it. So if anyone wants to buy this phone
now, my advice is take a good look at all the other phones on offer
cos this is just too outdated.

This phone is very stylish and nice looking but all the features
atren't that good. First of all the video recording is SO short,
there is no bluetooth and there is hardly any memory and i dont
think you can get memory cards for this phone! The camera quiality
is quite good though and the voice recording is alright but can
be quite fuzzy. Overall i do think that this phone is worth the
money because you get everything you need but if you are looking
for a phone with very high quiality, this isnt the phone for you!!!!

I have to say I really like this phone. It's stylish and different,
something I was really looking for when everyone else around me
had the exact same flip-open Motorolas. Many of the reviews say
that the screen is small, and true it is smaller than many of the
ones out there at the moment, but what they fail to mention is that
the resolution is actually a lot higher than the average mobile
and so the menus and text is a lot sharper and clearer. I've had
the phone for almost nine months now and have had no problems with
it, and anyone who says the reception dies when the open it- I haven't
had that problem at all. What I do agree with, however, is the lack
of memory for storage, especially archiving messages. However all
in all I find it a nifty, daring and refreshingly unique model,
though probably not for those who'd be playing rough with the thing.
You might think it loos like a brick guys but it's not actually
one!

50seconds! 3. You can have a phone call with the fold closed by
locking the keypad during a call. 3. it takes excellent VGA pictures

good but is not user friendly. The keys are tooo soft and tooooo
thin for a guy to punch texts at reasonable speed. The buttons dont
even press well and they call this ergonomic design...lousy. The
camera is decent but lacks a zoom...Samsung phones have zoom for
ages...and the camers is on the top flap...how are u supposed to
record urself? Cant change display brightness...hurts ur eye when
u open in at night in bed..and ringtones are rubbish and the volume

This phone is excellent, everything you would expect from a nokia
and very nice looking indeed. Its not too big and very useable.
I was fed up with trying other makes (eg motorola, siemans) and
always seem to go back to good old nokia as i dont think they can
be beaten. Only a couple of negative points, the covers wear out
a little bit too much and the scrolling of the menue is sluggish.
The headphone socket is a nuisance too because you cant really get
it in in a hurry. This is a pain and i reckon it might break too
cos its a bit fiddley. Still the best phone ive ever had though!

the worst! It looks good and thats about it. It turns itself off

TIME!!!! Since having this phone it has been in the repair shop
more than i've had it. Come back my 3650 all is forgiven.

Being a veteran of Nokia phones, I can safely say this phone lives
up to my expectations. The 7200 delivers all the functions that
a top range mobile phone does, if not to a higher standard to some.
A great choice in my books! However the only downside is the slightly
womanly appearance it has. I mean come on.. It has got a fury cover
for Christ sake!...lol

Absolutely rubbish phone. Slow dated software, basic and very boring.
Mine has broken within a week and switches itself on and off when
ever it likes. A big disapointment. They have submitted style insted
of technology, absolutely terrible to operate. Awful just awful.

of other nokia's picture quality is bad but its pretty good! The
only thing i would say is bad about this phone is that i can't get

I like the leather design, but the screen is terribly small for
a clamshell phone. It's a joke for a clamshell design! Nokia still
doesn't understanding why people like clamshells. If Nokia doesn't
put more effort on learning form its competitor like Samsung, it
will be history soon...

Went to take a look at this phone yesterday in the shop. First thing
I noticed was the screen size. Very small. The resolution is only
128x128, and physically the screen is smaller than my current T610.
What a let down. I was so looking forward to this phone. People
keep saying that I should get the Samsung E700 instead. Nokia's
first flip phone, and its a dud in my opinion. It may look fashionable,
but with that TINY screen, and no bluetooth its hardly a T610 killer.
Nokia must do better. Their latest phones are all pretty poor. Sony,
Samsung, and Motorola are beting Nokia at their own game!

This really is a neat little phone from nokia and a great first
attempt at the clam shell market, ok it hasnt got bluetooth and
the memory of its competitors but considering most people who buy
phones tend not to use all the capabilities the phone has to offer
then this really is a good buy if your looking for a new phone.
my first 4 phones were nokia's but my recent phones have been samsung
(excellent quality) this month I purchased a motorola v600 and even
though it looks a great phone it was slow kept crashing and the
sms isnt T9, motorola opting for the hard to master ITAP input instead,
needless to say I sold the phone within a week and got the Nokia
7200 despite reading bad press about it in various forums and was
pleasantly surprised on how easy pleasant it was to use! check your
service providers or get to the car phone warehouse (when the nokia
7200 becomes available and have a play around with the phone, its
easy to use fast at sms and it has a nice clear fm radio f or when
you are sat in the ever so annoying traffic :) .........lets hear
what others have to say about ths phone now its been released as
there doesnt seem to be much feedback apart from before the release!
Thanks nokia for trying out new and original ideas

Listen up - don't tell me it doesn't have enough memory, don't tell
me Samsung's better. Guess what? You buy this phone cos it's Cool.
That's all that matters. Features are (almost) TOTALLY IRRELEVANT.
What this phone is about is Lifestyle. That's how they sold it,
that's how it functions, my friend, no offence, but Samsung is Great
tech-wise (I bought a Samsung monitor 1710mp, it ROCKS) but really,
it just doesn't LOOK right. You're a laid-back, chll-out kinda guy/girl,
wanna have a little bit of fun with your cell, this phone is IT.
Drink up yo lychee martinis, fellow 7200s!
