The
Nokia 6610 is a good all-round phone with a colour screen, polyphonic
ringtones, stereo FM radio and triple band, as well as Java games.
Its appearance is more conventional than the similar-spec Nokia
7210, and it has a much better keypad.
The
Nokia 6610 is in all other respects very similar to the 7210. Its
keypad incorporates a nice 4-way scroll button. It's a nice slimline,
lightweight phone with good battery life. The phone comes is a choice
of colours, with changeable x-press on covers available.

Java™ capability means that you can download games just as easily

i have been using 6610 for 4 months but did not satisfy with the
features especially for multimedia messaging. i can't attach sound
clip as 3100 can do & i was wondering as to why nokia didn't include
these feature. i'm desperate lookign for a software to upgrade/unlock
the progam so that i can attach a sound clip.. i intend to change

I've been using nokia 6610 for more than one year, and I am very
pleased with it. Before it, I had a 7650, but the poor quality of
the battery life determined me to buy the 6610. It is a cool phone,
intended to please the bussiness man, but also has few games, though
I don't use them at all. For me, a phone is for talking and sensing
sms. I find the fm radio very useful, especially when waiting for
your wife at the shopping mall, because she can't decide wich pair
of shoes to buy :)) overall, this little phone is the best, and
my only complaint is the lack of bluetooth... Rating:

THE NOKIA 6610 IS A GOOD PHONE WITH A FEW GOOD AND BAD POINTS. I
WILL START WITH THE GOOD. THIS PHONE IS REALLY GREAT FOR PLAYING
JAVA GAMES ON. I RECENTLY DOWNLOADED A COUPLE OF GAMES AND FOUND
THEM VERY ENTERTAINING. ALSO I FOUND THAT IT IS SMALL AND SLEEK

I have owned my 6610 for nearly 7 months so here are my comments.The
Nokia 6610 is a wonderful well specified little phone. In fact the
best I have ever owned. It looks great with it's stylish lines.
It is so light that I often have panick attacks and think I have
left it behind somewhere when in fact its safe and well in my pocket.
It is a very easy to use phone with it's well laid out menu system,
keyboard and brilliant screen display. All of these points make
the 6610 a sheer pleasure to use. Performance is absolutely first
class. Battery life is outstanding often lasting upto a fortnight
between charges, and thats often with forgetting to switch it off
overnight.The quality of calls over the 02 network are crystal clear
even in areas of very low signal! The quality and loudness of the
ringtones put most other mobiles to shame and I just love the loudspeaking
facility which is both very clear and more than loud enough. The
built in radio works remarkably well. On a train journey from Bristol
to Stafford I was able to listen to Terry Wogan On BBC R2 all the
way, and most of the time in stereo as well! A couple of small points,
I get a slight flicker when playing games and the on off switch
is a wee bit fiddly but neither of these two points detract much
from this brilliant little phone. Nice one Nokia. Rating:

I really like this phone, its reliable, and light, ive had it for
7 months and still havent chose to change models, The only thing
is that it should ring louder, i had a 3315 before and you could
hear it from a mile away. but overall it's a good phone, i mean
geez it doesnt have to be TFT, or truetone, i like them. Does any1

I have been using this cell for last 2 months. Believe me, this
is the best mobile set available in world. It is slim, has color
display, wallpapers, Calender, GPRS, Radio, MMS, good resolution
4096 colors. Nokia 6610, like other nokia mobiles, is user friendly.
The only missing things are digital cam. I have seen other Mobile
Phone Brands too, but NOKIA 6610 is excellent. Worth buying!! A
very nice phone! Elegant with multitude of functionalities. I give

Review: Definately one the good looking phones from the nokia stable.
But surely not worth the money I paid for it when I bought it. The
prices have gone down now.But since I had my eyes on it for a long
time, I had to buy it when I could afford it. I was using a 3530
prior to this. I had found that phone very good except dor its rather
bulky and plastic looks. But I sure do miss it's super fast processor.
After using that model this phone seems rather slow. A built in
camera would be an advantage. Anyways...a phone I am going to keep

PLEASE dun get this handphone n 7250i n other nokia hp or u can

BT.. NO!!! it was WORSE MAN!!! n NOKIA 7250i came out next... i

it looks great, feels a bit fragile.the radio is ok, menu loads
up not as fast as i expected, not to talk about games, where the
refresh rate is not one of the best. good part is the java platform
allowing you to downoad( internet) or upload( from computer) games&applications.
Most of all i miss the voice functions: voice tags &voice recorder.
i'm not sure there aren' application for that, have to look for
them. Overall, its a great phone, worth testing. Rating:

Total waste of money. Keep getting message "SIM card rejected" have
purchased new sim and had phone repaired and replaced so many times,
still has same problem. This is apparently a known problem with
Nokia 6610 phones. The dealers will only tell you this after you

just bought it cos it looked awesome.i am bit dissapointed cos the
menu speed is quite low, not to talk about games, where the shade
persist.i higly miss the recording functions such as voice shortcuts
to phone book names or short notes(think of 6510).the radio reception
is good, though i must be very carefull when insert/extract the
headphones connector. also it feels not robust, i always fear to

Switches off by itself occasionally while in use. The customer service
guys reloaded the software, but the problem is still there. Since
this "auto switch off" has been reported by other people also on
this webpage, I guess it is a defect in the model itself. Does any

This phone sucks full time!!! sent for servicing for 3 times within
few months of purchase, yet problems persisted. Initially the keypad
starts to flicker, subsequently hang and hang then finally the screen

My phone has a problem, When I try to dial any number it give me
3 fast beep tone and doesn't make the call. And it is more frequest
sometime it is not consistence. I get 3 bar and full bar when I
am near a window and the problem still stay. Also I won't even receive
calls when this problem occurs the calls just goes to voice mail
after the caller here few rings and I won't hear it at all. Service

I used these reviews when going to buy the nokia 6610, not had any
problems mentioned so far (touch wood), the phone is brilliant,
just a shame it doesent have a camera built in, the radio is brilliant
the main reason i got the phone only thing is you need the headset
pluged in to hear the radio on the loudspeaker, the loudspeaker
is brilliant for a phone, the headset the only problem i see with
the phone nokia have designed it so that conventional headset cannot
plug into it you need to buy a special headset, but dont worry you
get one with phone, which is also handsfree, in all great phone,
put a camera in it and put the conventional headset plug in back
and i will buy the next generation 6610, with the same design though,
buttons on phone are good size for a small phone so keep them that

I manage 50 mobile phones for the company I work for, about 50/50
Nokia 6310i/6610. In the last 6 months I have had to return 5 of
the 6610's due to the phone turning itself off for no apparent reason.
I have now refused to accept any further 6610's, they are totally
unrelaiable!!! I am having the phones relaced with 6100's hopefully

First of all, before I say anything about this phone, I have to
say Ignore most of the comments from other users about things that
this phone can't do because it's pretty obvious that there are a
lot of people who don't even open the user manual before they criticise
this phone. I've heard quite a lot of negative comments about the
screen quality but this is my first colour phone and I've never
seen anything better or worse so I wouldn't worry about it too much...it
does what it's supposed to. The radio is really good and the headset
that comes with it is really comfortable although if you put the
phone in your pocket while you're walking, it's quite easy to knock
the headset out. I LOVE the loudspeaker...forget having to buy special
equipment to use your phone while driving...just buy a magnet set
($10 here..about 4 pounds in the UK) and when a call comes in, press
the left 'soft' key twice and there you can talk and hear people
comfortably, without having to shout. Okay, those are my favourite
things..along with the calendar which has 5 different categories
you can save notes in and has different repeat modes...but over
all I would recommend this phone to just about anyone. It might
be a bit pricey if you only want to make phone calls and nothing
else but if that's all you want to do, then 90% of phones are going
to be expensive. I wrote way more than I meant to..sorry to all
of you who managed to get this far! My point was this is a GOOD

This phone is OK, and functions well as a phone. Overall, its behind
the times. Here's why: 1.) Headset attachment proprietary and cumbersome.
Its bulky and falls off easily. 2.) Ringtones only 4-note polyphony.
Folks, phones are heading towards PDA/MP3 player status. My next
phone will satisfy these needs. This phone does not. If I'm going
to carry around this brain tumor causing nightmare, it better do
everything I want. 3.) Bad menu system. Its just not very user-friendly.
Otherwise, its a decent phone, nice and small. Seems well built.

I concur with most of the reviews that the 6610 has good features,
but suffers from quality problems. The one that I have has an intermittent
problem. It occurs randomly, but is definitely attributed to the
phone. When it happens, pressing the call answer button will immediately
divert the call to voice mail. Usually a redail by the calling party
can be answered. I have already made three trips to the service
centre and gone for a few days without this phone. Customer care
has not returned my call since yesterday. So it is bye bye Nokia,
which is headed the way of Ericsson. I'm dumping its stocks as well. Rating:

features are same to that of 7210 but the 6610 looks way slick!!!
i like all the nokia 6 series as they all look good. i recomend
this fone but now the newer nokias hav more features so i recomend

or 6220. the 6230 looks similar to 6610 but has a integrated camera

I got this phone for two reasons - great reception and long battery
life! It has everything you would except from a one year old Nokia
model (color screen, organizer, ringtones etc...) including a built
in radio and a useful speakerphone. The screen got flickery after
a few months - but a firmware upgrade took care of that. Some people
have complained about it's lack of built in camera, bluetooth, and
inability to have individualized tones for callers among others
but honestly those features are not important to me. I wish it had
a stronger vibrate function, a reminder for missed calls/messages,
and menu shortcuts but that might be a limitation with Nokia phones
in general??? This is my first one so I can't be sure. The infra
red connection allows you to change settings, upload files and sync
with a laptop with no problem - I use this feature daily for pics,
messaging and wap bookmarks as well as "beaming" people my info.
For a phone that I got free with my contract, I really can't complain. Rating:

I've had this phone for almost 5 months now. It's a beautiful piece
that has everything except a camera. However, I'm not too happy
with its build quality. Last month the complete left column (Buttons
1, 4, 7, *) went completely dead. After getting it repaired there
are signs of the problem re-appearing again. Also the phone shuts
off automatically sometimes, especially when there has been a soft
impact (like dropping it on a pillow). I've upgraded to v5.52(19-09-2003)
from v4.47. Hopefull the phone should work fine now. All said, I
still think this is one of the best phones u can buy, just pray
you get a flawless piece. Rating:

What are you other gis complaining about. I've had a 6610 for 6
months and it is going a treat. Coming from sagem and ericsson,
this nokia poops all over them. People stop whinging. Only 4096
colours, seriously, who gives a fat rat's clacka? How many freakin'
colours do you want, it's a phone, not a state of the art plasma

Bought the 6610 as I wanted colour! Stll have a 6310i. White backlight
stupid, WAP quite slow and not as user friendly as 6310i. Presumably,
backlight problem can be solved by changing the cover. It is a beautiful
looking phone but I get the impression no-one at Nokia actually
tried it out because such an irritating liitle niggle is obvious
after a few seconds. Also, the screen is almost impossible to see
in anything but the brightest of lights. All in all the 6310i leaves
it standing as a phone. Rating:

Had Nokia’s b4 but this model seems to be a jinks for me anyway.
Now having my 4th set. First one from a dealer had a faulty volume
control. Got it replaced by the dealer but later found out that
it was a used set with a new cover. Went back to Nokia who replaced
a new 3rd set for me. Problem again, volume control was stiff, was
fixed by technician on the spot. Later found out that the radio
had sound coming from only one ear (RH) & when increased volume
thru loudspeaker, sound got distorted & went softer instead. Got
another 4th set from Nokia. Everything seems good except that the
radio seems to be very sensitive & tends to produce ‘mono’
sound most of the time rather than ‘stereo’. Has anyone
have a similar problem as I am trying to decide if it is the phone
problem or it’s a problem of the headset not being a very
good antenna as it should? Just encountered the phone switching
off on its own in the middle of the night. It was ON when I went
to bed. Hopefully this is not a recurring problem. Has anyone experience
similar bad problems which went away after a while? Read thru some
other comments this seems to be one problem of the 6610. I am getting
a bit tired replacing 3 phones within 2 weeks. My 6510 did not give
me any problem at all. Regretting a bit for upgrading. If not for
the problems mentioned, found its not a bad phone. The radio sound
quality when it does receive in stereo is commendable. Also the

This Phone is the best phone i have ever had the key pad is nice
and simple just the way i like it. Best of all i like the idea of
the attachable camera it takes the best photos ever and they look
even better when the are downloaded onto the computer. However i
have recently been experiencing a few problems with it when i get
down to £1.50 it will not allow me to send txt massages to any one
it says (number not in use)But over all this phone is outstanding.

Very very happy with this phone. I had left it a while to upgrade
and moved onto this from a 3330. Love the colour screen, gprs connectivity
and mms. The phone has worked perfectly but as mentioned earlier
a snooze function would have been nice. The calendar is just brilliant
and serves so well as a personal organiser. Also the ability to
add numerous numbers per name is just great :D. Downside (but not
important to me) are the on switch is small, no snooze as mentioned
above and c### initial games. I choose this because I didn't want
a camera 7750 (there c### and own a digi camera anyway), not full
into gaming N-gage and the 7210 looks kack ;). I say buy it. Rating:

I've had this phone for 11 months and when it was new I thought
it was fantastic. I still do. Only gripes are that the display is
hard to see in bright daylight. Downloading ringtones from Club
Nokia was a nightmare, the games are c##p and the volume stopped
working on it after about amonth. On the plus side the handsfree
feature is brilliant and the phone is small elegant and has all
the features of a business phone and the fun bits of a leisure phone.
HIGHLY RECOMENDED. BUT I am really bored with the nokias now and
after 7 years faithful service I am going for the Sharp GNX20 or
a Samsung P400 just for the change. Nokia are gonna have to move

the flickering. the menu section is ok, i mean how much in a rush

fone, and graphics r pretty good, unlike its's predecessor the 6100
the reception on this fone is stable. must say that i am dissapointed
wit the power switch tho, the onli REAL tiny button on the fone.

Igot the nokia 6610 as a gift about a month ago.Since then i have
had frequent problems.Firstly by mistake my son deleted the games
applications ,i dont know how to load new ones.secondly with general
profile i dont get the ringtone but just a flash .also with other
profiles i dont get the ring just flash when someone rings from
a landline.I dont know whats the problem and how to get it corrected

This is a neat little phone let down by a poor display and less
than inspiring software. The display is very slow, too slow to play
one of the bundled games, and the colour reproduction is fairly
poor. In standby mode the time and date are virtually impossible
to read with most of the included wallpapers because the font is
so small and the wallpapers too dark. What's worse though is that
the "screen saver" which displays the time is almost impossible
to read because the back of the display is too dark and there's
hardly any contrast - unfortunately, it's not possible to disable
the screen saver entirely either. The menu system is convoluted
with too many key presses required to reach every-day items. It's
also counter-intuitive sometimes where pressing "back" doesn't actually
take you back but, instead, closes the application you were using.
On the plus side, call quality is good, the internal speaker for
"hands free" use is adequate and the ringtones (providing you can
find something not entirely embarassing) are more than loud enough.
If, like me, a mobile phone is just a phone to you then this one
is a good choice - it's not going to set the world alight, but it's
competent enough where it matters. Once it's set up to your liking
it does its job as you'd expect. I'm happy with the 6610, especially
since it was a free upgrade. Rating:

Why would anyone buy the next generation of Nokias? My love affair
with mobiles started with Alcatel OneThouch 301 nearly 6 years back.
Since then I've had four Alcatel models. I liked them all for their
functionality but due to Alcatel's inferior hardware, three out
of the four had died before their lifespan got spent. So after much
of a searching and fair amount of convincing from my friends this
time I decided to go for a Nokia. I've had used or played around
with many Nokias but this is the first time I truely own a Nokia.
The 6610 is a jewel on eys. Nice esthetics. An ornament to carry
around. I ain't realy complaining but was this the Nokia(Phone)
I dreamed of having? Read on.. After nearly a month of use I am
not convinced. I get the feeling this is the last phone I am gonna
use which incarnated as a phone. They all function the phone's basic
job adequate, making calls but nothing else. My all last Alcatels
did, this one does. Being not bias to Alcatel, I still like the
way they've implemented their OS though. I expected a little more
from a Nokia because it's Microsoft in the phone business in many
ways. So what is this Nokia 6610 is lacking? As somewhat a tech
savvy person, for me it's EVERYTHING. Because I use it EVERYDAY,
EVERYWHERE. All my surrounded people seems to be impressed over
this 6610 beauty, but I am not convinced. Software wise Alcatels
did almost all what Nokias do, slightly better. Their OS was more
intuitive. Less cumbersome. More responsive. Reading a 250 memory
full SIM with 10 voice tags was a snap. I always carred 85 full
SMS inbox with no dealy at all. Nokia takes hours. Menus were buried
too deep in this 6610. They've had speaker phones for years with
the exception (Forgot, picture messages which I sometimes missed)
of FM Tuner which I ain't use. The phones form factor is just right
with my average size hand. (It is the exact size of my early Alcatel
501 without the protruding areal) My main reason to go for a Nokia
was it's IR port. It has an IR port then why on erath I can't truly
communicate through IR with my Palm which had been using an IR port
for years? Sending a biz card a gimmick I enjoyed in my childhood.
That don't impress me much. The phone suppose to support JPG, GIF,
MIDI like format but why can't I beam them using the standard Palm's
IR? I expected true communication to my Palm through IR. That is
not possible. Period. Colour screen is quite good for a day today
use even with it's 4000 colors it is equally good as my Sony Clie
screen for what it does. Good. Numeric keyboard is owesome. Easy
on SMS but less responsive sometimes. OK. Navigation keys are wierd
and really crippled. Less responsive. Needs some serious work, too
small even for a small (kid's) thumb. Combined keys are not a good
idea you always tend to press the wrong one. Specially the call
and hang up keys should be separated, well, we actually don't need
two dedicated buttons. The same key should act like the call and
hang up key like in some Nokia's and Alcatel's. Menus are too deep
and annoying. Why do I have to open things (ring tones, images)
like in a PC? They shoud just start playing when you are at it.
Absurd. Call registry has too many options but lacks the individual
call duration. I see the Missed Call Alert on screen, then why on
earth the phone can't pick up the name for the number from the directory
and say I have a Missed Call form Ruani? Why do I have to dig into
the menu to see who'd called me. I get the Missed Call Alert as
a SMS from my ISP when the phone is either off or out of range,
but why the hell the phone can't pick up the corresponding name
form the directory looking at the SMS? Why I can't set a duration
reminder beep periodically to keep track on my long calls (specially
with loved ones) which I tend to always lose track of? Why it can't
show the on going call duration for the same reason. Why Nokia can't
set the menu status(on, activeted) right in front of Menus? (A tick
in front would do the trick) without wasting too much of my valuable
screen landscape. Whereas you can make more menus visible at a time
instead. If handspring can give the world on Treo 600 with 160x160
pixle palms native screen. Nokia probably can do better for a phone
from the 6610's 128x128 screen. Utter waste of pixels. Why not customizable
font sizes (smaller), more information at once like some Nokias
since my eye are still in good shape? Afraid of change? Why four
way navigation? Why it doesn't have the fifth selection status?
Whereas the rest of the world has accepted the five way navigation
was the success story of the mankind or so to speak. My Alcatel
had a 5 way dial for years. Palm, Pocket PCs and later even Sony
Ericssons came with it. (Hay no matter what, my next phone will
be Handspring Treo 600 or a Pocket PC clone with that 5 way navigator
for that simple reason.) So how you gonna convince me to go for
another Nokia, say when this is gonna die on me? This isn't a hardy
piece of hardware either, just like the Alcatels. They all die after
a couple of free falls to the ground. Ain't phones are most of the
time hand carried by the users and tend to lose the grip on them
time to time? Poor assumption. So where all there takes me to the
next round? I mean can I be stisfied with a crippled phone originated
phone like this anymore? Would you think your 6600 series with Opera
browser would impress me enough without you improving the way things
behave at your OS level to the hardware esthetics? Will you think
that I'll adopt Symbian? It is simply not ready for the prime time.
I would rather go for a Pocket PC smartphone than buggy not compatible
Symbian OS device, If I am to give up my much loved SONY Clie. Sony
Ericssons P900 looks impressive but Palm and Pocket PC devices are
years ahead. I know what happened to the T68i, I almost brought
one, thank god I didn't burnt my hands a year back when I got crazy
over it having seen the mammoth freature list. Not a single unit
that I knew lived up to it's promises. I never heard Sony Ericsson
ever anounced upgrading it's firmware either. Period. So I still
feel you add little more tweaks to this 6610 OS it'll be a remarkable
phone oriented phone . So I think 40 series OS Nokias will stand
a better chance than Symbian OS devices. It least within the average
SMS user generation. It seems you most phone companies simply don't
get it. A taste from both world looks impressive but it gives a
bad taste in mouth. At least for now. Since nobody got it right
unless Handspring that I know of the Treo 600. Microsoft would eventually.
So if you don't wanna me to buy another Nokia (A phone oriented
phone) that's fine with me. I brought four Alcatels before I let
it lose and gave it up. But I feel like getting rid of this Nokia
6610 beauty even before I am gonna leave the first scratch on it's
screen. I really wanna love my new 6610, but I couldn't. Nokia,
a big name, a nice piece of hardware and a truely a phone oriented
software system but badly implemented. No I am not impressed with
6610. It's been long time for you to get things perfected. A nice
blend from hardware end to the OS end. You didn't, yet. So, People
will choose. I will decide. I will rather live with a PDA incarnated
phone than a phone originated phone which tries to be a PDA but
yet still can't communicate gracefully either with my PC or the
Plam. Viola! At least I am happy to be at the consumers' end. I've

I have been using this cell for last 5 months. Believe me, this
is the best mobile set available in market, its slim, has color
display, wallpapers, Calender, GPRS, Radio, MMS, good resolution
4096 colors. Nokia 6610 , like other nokia mobiles, is user friendly.
The only missing things are digital cam. I have seen Sony Ericsson
T-300 & mobiles from other brands but its the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!, Buy

A fantastic phone discvovered by chance! I needed a replacement
phone and ended up switching to this phone permanently! Its got
a whole load of great features, including the FM Stereo Radio which
I use probably more than any other feature on the long boring journy's
to school. The colour screen really livens up the phone and allows
you to put whatever pictures you want on the phone. The games are
nothing to shout about, but anyway, these are more something to
do in a spare moment! This phone must have a brilliant aerial on
it, as I can now get full signal where before I could only get 1
or 2 bars. It has a very friendly user interface and it is easy
to make both voice calls and to compose texts, with plenty of space
to store unsent messages. The screen flicker is, I fell a minor
problem, as it is only occasionally, and is a very quick flicker,
so the screen is still perfectly visable. A BRILLIANT PHONE!! Rating:

I needed. Also comes with a radio... Great I thought until I actually
bought one. In less than one month, the keypad became unresponsive.
Two months later, the phone started falling asleep... The screen

I was Always told to start a report on a good note, so. The nokia
6610 i am very pleased with, had it for approx 4 months now and
i have to agree with everyone here, its a sexy looking phone! I
will say that all the functions on the phone are good e.g. Calendar.
But i also have to agree with some of the faults listed in the other
reviews. Yes, the keypad does flicker sometimes but does it matter?
answer: NO, I use the phone in the day at work so the lights behind
the keypad are invisible anyway, and at night i'm usually too drunk
to even care. Power button is too small, but all your doing is turning
the phone off so should that matter anyway? Answer: You decide for
yourself, its a case of pressing it in with the tip of your finger
or your nail. Camera could be a bit better, takes resonable pics
during the day in the light, but in as dull room, the pics either
come out completely black or the object you took a shot of appears
a dark red. I would recommend the Samsung v200 for the camera. I
have had a few nokias before this 1 and i find that the nokia collects
a lot of dirt within the phone and on the screen, so you do have
to clean it, but again, does that matter? Answer: Not really, you
give it a quick clean then its done for another few weeks. I would
comment on the java games, but i cant, coz i'm with Orange network
whenever i use wap to download anything, it download untill approx
6 mins and then the wap cuts off and leaves me with no game, background,
ringtone etc and charges me for the duration of time spent on there.
Dunno if this is a nokia prob, i doubt it, ill just have to phone
orange. Bit dissapointed about the screensaver, its unchangable
so your stuff with the time being displayed. Cant think of anything
else, so i'm off now to watch Eastenders :-) Hope this review was
a good 1 and helped you with your choice of whether to buy the phone
of not. I would recommend the phone to anyone, but i would also
say to look around aswell, try them out in a shop first. chao! Rating:

The Nokia 6610 is a good phone with plenty of features at a reasonable
price. One problem though troubles me a lot. The entire keypad light
flickers most of the time. The dealer says it's a problem with all
the 6610's. Another thing is I found the processor speed to be too
slow. The games I downloaded are no fun to play 'cause the screen

This phone flat out sucks! I am on my second one now and I bought
my first one on 6-28-03. And the 3rd one is on its way! On my first
phone the screen was all black and had a white line across it and
totally stopped working, wouldnt turn on or do anything! t-mobile
took it back and sent me a new one. well that one is now doing the
same thing except for it turns on then off and wont stay on! when
I was in the t-zones it would just sometimes turn the screen black
and go back to the begining losing where I was at! This phone is

Within seconds of seeing someone using a 6610, I knew that this
model was my next phone. I'm not alone: others have commented on
its stunning understated looks. I've owned this phone for as long
as my old 3510i [see my review], and I am extremely happy with the
6610, unlike the 3510i (now sold). The 6610 is small, lightweight,
ergonomic, has a great feature-set (too much to list here) and is
very customisable. I use the GPRS function and radio every day on
my daily commute, and neither draws from the excellent battery life.
Whoever at Nokia thought of the option of putting the radio through
the extremely adequate handsfree speaker should be given a raise
immediately! Very handy. Of course, it is not without some problems:
the keypad and screen flicker occasionally, which personally doesn't
bother me much. They all do this. Not sure whether this is firmware
or hardware yet. On a couple of occasions some of the keys stopped
working temporarily. Again, not sure of the cause of this: a little
worrying, so I will keep an eye on it. The radio needs a GOOD signal
to keep the stereo subcarrier. Not a big deal: I think this is partially
due to the short length of the headset cable. The on-board memory
is small, but will suit minimalists (only store what you need).
Aside from the comprehensive feature-set, the 6610 just looks 'right';
Nokia seemed to have mercifully veered away from their avant-garde
design period [2001-2002] with this phone. The in-box black facia
does nothing for it, however (perhaps this safe choice is to appeal
to its target business user). Seek out a genuine silver facia for
maximum 'wow' factor. The 6610 is a classic and highly recommended. Rating:

I luv my N6610. Although i'm addicted to upgrading each chance i
get, I have had Motorola 3330, N6510, N8250, Motorla V3688, N5110.
Maybe go 3G once the telephone companies have worked a small VGA
camera mobile phone. Oh each model of phone has it's pros and cons.
And if mobile can be updated like our PC that would be great but
it is a mobile. Let's focus on 6610. The ugly side of my luv 1.
* Headset is bad, at times it would loosen leaving me with no radio
signal and get distorted sound when doing voice calls. * Colours
in wallpapers that's pink or orange tend to turn into red. Why?
I duno. I've tried changing brighness. * No alarm ringtone customising
compared to siemens or motorola. If only nokia remembers we hate
waking up to annoying ringing sounds of BELLS! * The calculator
should have been left outside rather sticking with EXTRAS menu.
* Games cannot be saved under GAME menu but instead Application
menu. but i guess this remians the same with all new Nokias, same
platform same stuff ups. The glory of mu luv 1. * Light weight campion
with okay screen size, easy going on the sms, loud mouth at times
when testing out new polyphonic tones, and 80% adpatable to customisation.
* Yours truly a simple menu system. * Calendar is decent and easy
to move around up or down to each month. Great for birthdays and
party planning. * Easy name search and need not go into NAME menu,
can be done on list. Just punch in a letter save you the hassle
of scrolling up and down on a 300 list of names. Purchase on what
lifestyle you lead not by what is new and fashionable. You people
are smarter than that, no sheep no sheperds please. Rating:

FORS: Great Cool Looker Head Turner on the Ringtones (the do-mi-so
is reaaally cool but has an air of sophistication) Great Colour
tones Fab and Easy / Quick keypad Easy Menus Fab radio Absolutely
great handsfree speaker - I can use this in the car without additional
speakers and amplifiers, and the sound is really clear - this is
a real money saver from all the handsfree gadgets that you normally
have to buy!! AGAINSTS The screen flickers sometimes on games -
but you know what - if I wanted a proper gamepad, i would buy a
gameboy or something. I bought the phone for a Cooool phone. The
games are a fill-in past-time on the toilet at work, and nothing

I have had the 6610 for nearly 9 months now and it probably the
best Nokia I have had to date... That's not saying much as I had
a 5510! :-( That aside all the features are great. Nice bright screen.
Ringtones can be a bit quiet sometimes, but that's probably because
I'm going deaf. The only 1 fault I have found is that the phone
can sometimes switch itself off when navigating the Messaging menus.
Other than that I would recommend it to anyone. After all it's a

What is so good about Nokia??? I just don't understand. 4096 display,
4 polyphonic ringtones (MIDI formats)thats right FOUR! compared
to other brands creating 40 polyphonic ringtones..(This is talking
about the sound quality not how many polyphonic ringtones are included...)
and slow interface.. Do you still think its worth getting when you
could pay the same price for something better? Something WITH 65,000
color display, 40 chord polyphonic sound quality and EVERYTHING

PLEASE EMAIL ME WITH INFO I'm 15 and wanting a new phone in the
budget of £100 - £200 for an xmas pressie, but I want to know if
this phone is up to the task of ringtones, java games, and sending
and recieving MMS. Is the WAP fast? Is this phone better or worse
than the 7250 or 7250i? I have been using a 3310 for a while now
and its CR#P... lol. This is my first colour phone with poly's so
any help would be appriecated. If anyone wants to help im after
a Nokia handset in the range of £100-£200 with colour, poly's, downloadable
java stuff, etc etc. (dont really like the keypad of 7210) IS THIS

This is a great phone overall, and at the current market price,
a good deal. However, there are some problems that potential buyers
should know about; the screen does flicker when playing games, however
only when you do not charge the phone up fully! i have 2 friends
with the same phone and they all found this to be true. secondly
4096 colours is good enough for most users, but doesn't look all
that stunning when compared beside the recent samsung handsets.
thirdly, yes the screen isn't bright enough initially, but will
be when you turn the brightness up. the cover fits well, some people
must have bought theire handsets from dodgy underground shops to
have creaky handset covers. the camera is cr#p and is not worth
buying, instead an alternative is to use your own digital camera
to take pics and transfer them via data cable or IR. this will result
in very crisp images that you can be proud to show off with. battery
life, good. looks, personally i love it, and i love the white light
with silver keypad, looks great. sound, awesome, this phone has
over 40 tones, and those people that don't know how to use the software
will not know how to exploit its sound properties. i suggest, read
the manual. all in all, a great buy. Rating:

it is actually good but there are some problems i have encountered
with the phone. One thing is the "defective" backlight of the keypads
which turns on and off repeatedly whenever one presses any key.
It is annoying and i think nokia has to look into that "problem".
Another is the limited memory; it has less than 1MB of memory. I
would like to suggest that it should have at least 2MB. Last problem
yet i have encountered is that it could not play one polytone i
downloaded (it said can't open file). Besides those, i find it very

Had phone for a few weeks now. Generally found it very good. Good
battery life, fast charging, clear display and easy menus. But who
put a white backlight on silver keys? !! In average ambient light
the contrast is removed between the keys and the legends and I can't
see what letters are on each key! Need an option to kill the keypad
backlight. Found wallpaper rather useless... it hides the screen
information (which is in black text) and renders the signal & battery
bars indistinct. Overall, a good phone. Needs a few changes to make

There is a lot about this phone that is so useful. I wasnt sure
about having all the buttons, (when your used to a 3390 theres only
one action button), but they have been very nice to have. I did
a lot of research to buy a new phone and that is why i bought the
6610. I love it. Texting is so much easier. Using the calander is
so convenient. I loved the idea of the calander in the 3390 but
it was so deep into the phones programing that i never wanted to
use it. On the 6610 it is so easy to navigate to where you want
to go. I did have the problem that everyone complains about, the
power button is so small and it has to be pushed in so far. I placed
a piece of small plastic that I cut out of see thru packaging that
you see aroung toys and such and placed it between the exterior
button and the actual button on the circuit board. Now my power
button works like a charm. The loud speaker is awsome. I love useing
my phone while on the computer or in the car. Being able to access
the phone via IRDA with my computer is wonderful. This phone rocks. Rating:

I think all the problems mentioned in some other reviews here is
because of a "dud handset". This happens, even with auto's like
Landrover! Overall the NOKIA 6610 is a excellent phone - I have
owned various phones which includes lots of different makes & models.
The only phone I would rather buy is a NOKIA with a digital camera
built-in, but after seeing the quality on these cams, I decided
to keep my 6610 rather and use my professional Sony for photos.
Phones are made for calling not taking photos anyway! This phone
has it all - if you are in business, this phone is for you! If you
want hip & savvy like teenagers, get the 7210. I think this is the
best phone made by NOKIA yet, and intend to keep it. A MUST BUY! Rating:

What a phone! I upgraded fron the 6510 (which was nice) and I love
the improvements. The colour screen is spot on, the poly tones turn
heads and the radio is 100% better. The battery is long lasting
and the recharge time through mains power is low. The weight and
build make the phone feel of quality build and not like a childs
toy (8310). I think this is one of the best phone nokia has produced.

Hi there :) I got the 6610 now almost 5 months, and i have to say
that i never had a better phone! I "upgraded" from a 6510, because
i really wanted a colour screen phone, and this one was offered
second hand, only a few weeks old, with the full warranty still.
I discovered so far only ONE bug, which is software related (version
4.18 on mine, 4.74 has it solved, but i won't bother....) which
is when a phonebook entry is put into a caller group, and that group
assigned a ringtone other than "default", if the person now calls
me, the backlights won't come on, leaving me in darkness who is
calling at night. Besides that, i never had a single problem with
the phone, it never hung or crashed, only twice resetted in a situation
where it tried to hand over from it's home network (DPC 1800) to
the national roaming partner (AIS 900) and losing signal for a while.
Seems like searching for two networks at one time forces the phone
to reset. Also the first battery gave up after it was only two months
used, i got a new one on warranty. Excellent! The screen is of a
good quality, i did not experience any flickering ore lines or whatever,
not even when playing games, which i do sometimes. I love the Nokia-typical
menu which is simply foolproof, and the phone's ability to store
downloaded ringtones, wallpapers and even games. The in-build radio
receives crystal clear and strong, the voice quality (although i
use it in half rate to save battery - i am a HEAVY user!) is superb.
I get usually 3-4 days usage with being more than 1,5 hours on the
phone accumulated per day, plus the odd game inbetween. Also the
speakerphone feature is of outstanding quality and very loud. About
the colours, heck, it's a phone, how many colours do you NEED????
4096 are enough, it shows every picture nice and clear. Also the
ringtones, it is hard to find good ones (i mean, nice sounding melody
and LOUD!) but once you got one, you won't notice that there are
only four notes available at a time. Heck, Samsung offers 40 but
i can't hear it when it is in my pocket! I prefer he Nokia way.
The Keypad has never "squeeked" as long as i got this phone, and
i thumb quite some SMS's each day. The keys are big and have a nice
feel. The phone itself is not too big and not too small, just right.
If only there could be a bigger memory in it! The 6610 with the
memory of a 3650 - that would be IT. My boyfriend uses a 7250 with
it's 5 MB, so it IS possible. Anyway, i recommend this phone for
everyone. I am currently waiting for the all-new 6585 which is the
CDMA-version of the 6610, same look and feel, but some different
features, and of course CDMA, because i want to change from GSM
to CDMA and i want to keep my 6610.... so it's got to be the 6585

I have recently bought this phone, and it is brilliant! It looks
great and has loads of useful and powerful features. However there
are some little points (but nothing to worry about, I'm just being
picky):The menu NAV key is a bit "clicky", but thats no real problem
at all, and the on/off button is a bit too small, and you cant change

I have Nokia 6610 only short time. First of all read manual and
get more info from Web site. Good mobile, Radio should work w/out
headset!!! Easy setup with infra connection, check your laptop or

I am really impressed by this phone. i always thought that 4096
colours looked very cheap because i had seen a Motorola phone with
those colours (awful for my taste), but when i actually downloaded
some wallpapers and looked at them, i changed my mind completely.
excellent resolution!!! ringtones have only 4 instruments, which
is really sad because Nokia is the biggest mobile phone maker in
the world, and being so it should have the latest technology loaded
on its handsets. but since i really dont care much about ringtones,
this is not an issue for me. the radio is good, but unfortunatelly
you have to attach the headset to make it work, otherwise you cannot
start it. but then again, i use my like to walkman instead. the
menues are really good. they are really easy to use, everything
is organised neatly. the buttons dont creak as other people say;
they sound like normal buttons do. i like the infrared connection.
it works very smoothly and nice. i can send contact information
or calendar notes, but unfortunatelly not images or ringtones. GPRS,
according to my friends, works excellently, but since i have never
used it, i cant really tell you from my own experience. the only
problem i have is that i cannot keep my operator logo on. the phone
seems to take it off and put it back at will. it does it by itself.
and also, the phone turns itself off for no reason. i probably need
a sorftware upgrade to fix it. the bottom line is that i love this
phone, and i am sticking with it. it does have some things that
make it not perfect, but i can leave with them (except for that
turning off and on thing). i recommend it to everyone. Rating:

this si getting worse. keys not working well, therefore writing
sms r reminders. what i cant understand is where is that scandinavian
quality that i've come to expect..?? 2nd handset and they want to
upgrade software-its only 2 weeks old...I dont trust my phone to
work well or effectively so where does that leave u when u cant
trust your mobile?! I would prefer to have my money back. Is quality

Well what a crackin' phone. This is my first colour screen phone
and im glad I continued to use Nokia. I have always liked Nokia
phones and after having the 8310 for over a year its usefullness
was running out in relation to games, GRPS, MMS etc so an upgrade
was needed. I had looked at some of the Panasonic and Sharp phones
for the inbuilt camera and excellent screen, but I decided to stick
with what was within my budget and opt with the 6610. I have only
had the phone for 3 days and while there are one or two little niggles
over-all Nokia have continued their excellant run in relation to
availability on one phone. The main problems (being picky here)
are; a rather annoying sqeeky menu selector button, however after
3 days of use it isn't as bad as what it was, the on button its
too small and hidden within the top of the phone if you have large
fingers or no finger nails you could be struggling to turn on the
phone, lack of ability to have screensavers on the phone even though
it can do pretty much everthing else. I have seen comments about
the phone casing, to be honest there is nothing wrong with mine
and unless you are intending on playing football with your phone
the case is as solid if not more-so than the 8310 to start with
(and others). The colour screen is excellent I haven't got the attached
camera so can't comment there, but for the size and how light the
phone is the screen is extremely acceptable. This phone is certainly
for the more active user in relation to all its features. If your
wanting a phone just for the screen and a camera (pointless idea
in my opinion) then this isn't the phone for you. However if you
have used Nokia before you will certainly not be dissapointed, it
is excellent for the business user again because of all the added
extra's like calander, to-do list etc. Overall an excellent phone. Rating:

I have this cell for now 4 months and things are working fine. I
am not sure which OS it is using but there no problems as such.
The Screen is excellent and menus are very user friendly. As a techki
i tweaked around with some fuctions and it handle really well. The
radio in india/ bombay works well, but fails to give steady sterio
output :( I recently had one problem, the vibrator stops working
when i set an alarm. I need to restart the cell to get it back.
If anyone can help me please tell me how should i upgade the software

Very disappointed with the fact that it cant do the simple things
right. Snooze button is intermittent and faulty, have no idea why,
and the replacement(after 2weeks) is the same as. have to return
to blank screen to lock keypad, cant do it from the menu u have
just used. Reminders, calendar notes etc useful, but its a pity
they dont have snooze button, like 3330 had. The camera is a waste
of money.Pics are pretty cr#p unless they r one colour, or very
close up and u can manually count the pixels. I thought 3330 was
bad at first but this one takes the mick. Its slow to react to commands,
but so was previous 3330. Give me the 5110 brick back. Nokia have
robbed me, and strangely enough i cant find anywhere to complain
to nokia themselves... 'New' phones like this ruin my appetite. Rating:

well,i've had this fone for 4 weeks now,and u noe wat i luv it.its
the best triband nokia fone availabe in india.ya there are problems
like there are problems like the light of the fone just goes of
for a split of a second.at first the buttons were a little creaky
, but after use it got alright.and the best part is that,it has
the widest range of games available.i recommend u these games(dragon

After giving my wife a N3650, I've decided its time to move up from
my old N6210 to an MMS capable phone. After budget and technical
requirements, I've narrowed down my choices to 5100, 7210, or 6610.
5100 is still scarce here at RP and is more expensive. I don't like
7210's keypad so Im stuck with 6610. Sound quality is better than
N3650 or any or my previous phones. You can clearly talk and listen
both via headset, via loudspeaker, or simply via handset. The screen
isn't as accomodating as 3650 but at least there is no more screen
flicker as complained by other 6610 users. Probably an OS issue.
Mine is 4.74. Its passive matrix but it does the job for standard
GSM phone usage (messages, phonebook, navigation, calendar, games).
If only it has scaleable fonts for browsing. Polyphonic ringing
tones sounds much clearer than 3650. However, most of the MIDIs
I can play via 3650 hardly works at 6610. Navigating Nokia Sound
coverter, I figured its because 6610 only has 4 channels. Its a
shame. 4 channel output is hardly a minimum in MIDI playback. Anyway,
another problem is the radio. When the signal is powerful enough,
its crystal FM Stereo. The problem is its poor stereo reception
capability. A minor change in location and it can only play mono.
Another issue is the inability to receive ring tones and images
via IR. I just hope they can overcome it via future software upgrade.
So I can simply beam images from 3650 to my 6610 whenever required.
Its made of cheap(?) plastic compared to 8850 but on a standard
gray case with silver keys, it looks elegant enough compared to
similary priced phones. A minor issue is the keypad's noticeable
cracking noise when you're in a silent environment. Other shortcomings
such as lack of bluetooth and minimal 725KB of memory are well documented
so I can't complain about it. I guess its why its much cheaper.
Overall, its a great phone. When you're commuting 5 to 6 hours a
day, 5 days a week, the nokia 6610 is a good phone to carry around.
Not too technically loaded, but with the right size, a good list
of features for its "workable price tag", and of course, a very
nice user interface. Rating:

I never really liked nokias before this phone, I always went for
something different, I like the styling of this nokia, I upgraded
from my 8210 to this, so size was practically the same ansyway.
the things that interested me were - the radio, which sounds great,
crystal clear thru the headphones, but not so good in poor signal
areas - the polyphonic ringtones, the phone has a passive sounder
on the rear that really helps the bass response, the ringtones sounded
great, until I heared a samsung A800 go, now I think they're average,
loud, but can be distorted and unpleasant. - the colour screen,
OK, but thats it, I've seen a fair few other phones on the go, the
screan on this smears badly, flickers too, some games are totally
unplayable due to the smudging on the screen. comparing the screen
to other phones, for games, i'd say it gets a 3/10, text, etc is
pretty good, 8/10, a lot of the pther phones are visibly blocky,
this one is quite smooth and clear - the games available, this phone
has 100's of games available for it, fantastic, 10/10, more than
any other phone - the wap access, really fast, impressivley so on
GRPS, BUT, you can't scale the fonts!, for text messages, you can
have a really small font so you can display a WHOLE message on screen
at one time. the WAP on this phone uses HUGE characters, meaning
that most sites have the data split accross a large number of pages,
you get bored trying to navigate thru sites, no excuses nokia, the
A800 can scale the fonts, so could my SL45i, and a couple of others
showed way more info than the 6610 does overall, the phone is average,
thats all. I got one cheap, so I'm happy, but it wont be long before
i'll be upgrading to something better out of 10, it gets a 7, and
thats only because everyone is writing software for it, something

Well, first I had 6610 and there was the well known problem of the
flickering screen, also I was not satisfied with signal reception
(old 6110, ericsson R310s, 6310i, T68i has much better) but probably
it is thanks to modern technology of low radiation. I just wonder
when will NOKIA find recurrent alarm and personal alarm rings? Then
I replaced it for 5100 and generaly speaking 5100 is excelent phone,
but the buttons (specially 4 way scroll and soft key in combination
with YES and NO are painful spot (Why NOKIA has placed rubber? -
5210 has much better keys). Not surprisenly the signal reception
on 5100 was the same as on 6610, but 5100 need some extra time to
find home network. Then I decide "that was that" and go again for
the new 6610. I think that 6610 is great phone no matter to some
lack of functions (Recurrent alarm, personal alarm ring and - Why
not? - automatic power ON/OFF like BENEFON and PANASONIC has). Any
way, I give five stars to this phone and I must ad mit, SMS writing
is just beautiful, fast precise and small font selection allow to
you to see whole message on screen. I advise anyone who wants to
bue 6610 to do it, just watch for the bad (not original) softwares.
If you bue one with bad software (recognizing by enormous list of
languages) the phone wont work nice very long. Rating:

I bought a Nokia 6610 outright. A friend of mine has one, and he
had all the problems mentioned in everyone's reviews here. However,
mine doesn't - it's obviously much newer. Software v 4.74, manufactured
on 14/4. These problems have not surfaced at all, and I have had
absoloutely zero problems with it. It's PERFECT! The best phone

This phone was frustrating. The buttons never work 100% and within
the first month i needed to get all new software (i recommend you
do too) because the screen flickered and it wouldn't vibrate. With
the new software the phone is otherwise a dream. I've decked mine
out with the best java games (i recommend you download the racing
game 'speed devils' by Gameloft 2003) The 6610 is the better than
a gameboy. You can download polyphonic tones and colour wallpapers
(i have a large Christina Aguillera collection). Shame there is
only a limited amount of hardrive though. This is the best phone
ever just UPGRADE THE SOFTWARE FIRST!!! Rating:

Had this phone for about 4 weeks. Like other people reviews i have
found that: switches off for no reason, can't charge (when you plug
charger in phone switch's off), doesn't ring/vibrate on incoming

Had been shopping around for colored polyphonic phone before i decided
to have 6610 as i'm very impressed with its over-all package. Loved
the phone for the first few days until a VERY ANNOYING problem surfaced
- THE SCREEN WOULD START FLICKERING few seconds after navigating
the menus or playing the games! Will a software upgrade eliminate

I shopped for ages, before choosing the 6610. So far I am impressed
with it. Very easy to use and is a real eye opener. Do not buy the
camera for it, it is the worst on the market, it never takes what
you aim at. The quality is appalling. It is a real shame, since
I was looking forwards to playing around with it. Does it have MS
software on it, because sometimes it decides it wants to reboot.
LOL. An update should fix that. But otherwise the 6610 is a delightful

Rubbish...had this phone 3 weeks. The Operating system keeps crashing.
Loads of problems. Incoming calls don't ring or vibrate. All buttons
freeze up. Battery been on charge all night, then says it not charged.
Switch it off then back on and works fine. Takes for ever to turn
off then on again, quickest way is to remove battery. Taking it
back tomorrow for replacement. Rating:

I really don't want to hate this phone, I want to love it, I got
it out of the box and was impressed, it looks cool and sounded good
and I thought the colour screen was fantastic...I just wish I had
shopped around. The polyphonic tones are only 4 channel which means
they are basic, better than mono tones but nowhere near good enough
and the colour screen is very low res compared to other colour screen
phones...Nokia should have the same screens in all their phones,
maybe slightly higher in these models as they support cameras and
MMS. That I could live with but what I can't live with and the reason
I am getting rid of this phone is that it constantly switches off
or loses the sim or the network, I have had 3 repairs and various
software upgrades but still it's the same...it feels rushed and
I'm a bit disappointed, I'm ending my 4 year association with Nokia
because of this and have just bought the excellent and amazing Panasonic
GD-87...I wanted to love this phone bu t unfortunately it's a poor
show by Nokia, mass produced, rushed and cheap, get the 6100 instead!

this phone is the best, i recomend anyone thinking about gettin
a new phone must get this!!! its gr8. the only problem i have with
this is that somtimes the wallpapers dissapears, and the 4 key scroll
buttom creeks a little, but overall its the best nokia phone going.

A potentially great phone - but consistent problems with not being

up), and other key-related problems. The only solution offered by
Nokia Australia was to replace the phone (I already have, and the
second one was even worse) or send it to Sydney and have a software

This phone is an absolutely ravishing phone. It has all the ingredients
to be a very successful phone.But as compared to Nokia 6100,the
Nokia 6610 is quite large.That's why it deserves 1 star less than
what I would have given to Nokia 6100. Its color screen is magnificient.This
phone along with its FM Radio has a lot of features to work with.It's
slightly similar to the Nokia 7250 but some problems in the beginning.

Great light, small phone with all features than the more expensive
6100. With radio which 6100 lacks, it is certainly of more value.
I am taking a star away due to the less than perfect colors and
clarity of the display. If you want to know what I mean, compare
it to the Nokia 5100. After seeing the difference, I always feel
a little disappointed when seeing the display of the 6610/6100.

I don't actually own a 6610, but a few of my friends do. When I
first picked up the phone I was amazed about how light it was, plus
the colour screen was great. I then scrolled through the phone and
thought it was full of accesories, mms, download almost everything,
poly ringtones, cool background pictures, love it. The only thing
I dont like about it is the poly ringtones only have four notes,
otherwise THIS IS A GREAT PHONE!!! Rating:

Had it for about 3 months now, had some slight problems at first,
a free software upgrade soon fixed that, absolutely gorgeous phone
(Looks ok in pictures on the net, but damn sexy in real life) Color
screen is really good, polyphonic ring tones are good aswell, very
easy and sexy menu navigation. Definetly an impressive phone...
my dad and brother just brought one for themselves after using mine
a bit, and of the 3 we have had no problems, besides mine requiring
a software upgrade. Definetly Recommended... without hesitation.
