Nokia 6500

In a nutshell:
The Nokia 6500 Slide is a slide design 3G phone with
an excellent 3.2 megapixel camera and a large hi-res LCD display.
It offers video calling, and MP3 player, an FM radio, expandable
memory and Bluetooth. On the negative side it's heavier than average
and its battery life could be better. Also, be aware that quite
a few of our users are finding that their phones arrive with faults
and have to be be replaced. Available in silver or black.
Best buy: *Free* with half-price line rental from Dialaphone
(Silver) or Black
or direct from Three
(Black) or Three
(Silver); or on Pay as you Go for £119.99 from Three
(Black).
The Nokia 6500 Slide is ... wait for it ... a slide
design version of the Nokia 6500
Classic. Or is it? You'd think that two phones that have the
same model number and are so similar in appearance would have the
same features, but no, the guys at Nokia clearly thought that would
be too boring.
"Hey Aleksi! Why not release two phones with
the same name but make them completely different inside?" ...
"Cool idea Joonas! Let's put a nice 3.2 megapixel camera with
flash and autofocus inside the 6500 Slide and a rubbish 2 megapixel
one inside the 6500 Classic." ... "Niko thinks the Slide
should have a bigger screen - that's what those Samsung boys do
with their slide phones." ... "Roosa has a great idea
- let's make them both 3G but only allow video calls using the Slide
(hey, hey)"... "Arttu thinks that the Slide should have
a memory card expandable to 4 Gbytes, but we won't put a memory
card slot in the Classic at all!" ... "and why not put
an FM radio into the Slide too, Kristiina? But not in the Classic!"
... "Oh and one more thing, Matias - because we left all the
good bits out of the Classic we can make it ultrathin, but keep
the Slide big and heavy!"
"So, run this past me one more time, Johanna.
We make two phones with the same name. One is a Slide and one is
a Classic. We put all the best features into the Slide, but we make
the Classic really thin and better looking. And we sell them both
for the same price! Our customers are gonna love this idea. How
they will laugh at our wacky Finnish sense of humour! Those boring
Swedish squares at Sony Ericsson will be so jealous!"

Camera excellent quality. Lay out easy to use, good old Nokia. I

Have owned this phone for two days now and I like it. However, I
do have an issue. I bought a SanDisk 8gb memory card but the phone
only seems to recognise 4gb. I'm not quite sure whats happening.
It definately says 8gb on the card so I doubt I've been ripped off
by SanDisk. I can only assume the 6500 slide has some kind of 4gb
limit built into it! If anybody knows anything about this I'd appreciate
some enlightening. Thanks. [Editor's reply: I think that's right
- the 6500 Slide can accept cards up to 4GB.]

Having read these reviews, I started to become a little worried
as to whether I had done the right thing, as I had just purchased
the Nokia slide 6500 on an 18 month contract. I primarily wanted
a phone for text messaging, as I was far exceeding £15 a month on
pay-as-you-go. I put the battery on charge for about 8 hours and
within 24 hours the battery had died on me! I repeated the process
3 times and the same thing happened! I returned the phone to the
shop and the salesman suggested to take it away again. I was told
to keep an eye on the signal bars on the screen as texting with
a weak/poor reception could have an impact on battery life. I rather
doubted this; I had only sent around 20 text messages ,made no phone
calls, GPRS packet data and bluetooth were turned off ( as suggested
by some consumer reviewers, these apparently have significant effect
on battery life ), power saving option was turned on...etc ......anyway,
thought I'd give him the benefit of the doubt and took the phone
away again. After one attempt at charging overnight, yet again,
24 hours later the phone had died on me again! Totally unacceptable
for a new phone to last only a day, would have thought reasonably
3 days at the very least even considering the fact the phone is
feature heavy! So again, I returned the phone to the shop...I was
offered a replacement battery. I went away and repeated the charge
process, and guess what, about 1.5 days later the phone died again!!
Went straight back to the shop and this time, the handset was replaced
AND the battery! Charged the phone up for about 8.5 hours and have
just had 3 days use out of it!! Finally...Just put the phone on
for a second long charge and more confident that the phone will
last. I put it down to the handset being faulty and draining the
battery, rather than the battery itself! However, just be aware
of the importance of giving the battery 3 overnight charges to condition
it. When you first have the phone, there will be a little power
in the battery already, allow the phone to go completely dead. Charge
it, and repeat the process twice again letting the phone completely
die on you. The reason for this is,because you are increasing the
capacity of the battery so that it's capable of storing and maintaining
it's charge for longer in between cycles. Yes, it is a feature heavy
phone, and I'm sure that if I was using internet, bluetooth,in addition
to texting, the battery would die down quicker, but at least more
than a day!! So, fingers crossed I am going to be happy with my
purchase... Overall a fantastic phone but why, oh why, do Nokia
print such a ridiculous battery specification?? I very much doubt
it for this make and model. Surely under the trade and descriptions
act....

Had the phone for 1 day. Upgrade from Samsung D900. I have always
been a Nokia fan but went for Samsung due to size. I can't comment
on all the features of the phone because I don't use them all but
what I can comment on is the sound quality. It is appalling. After
all the thing is a phone first and foremost so should provide a
clear conversation. Spoke with network after a couple of hours and
told them that I was unhappy with handset. Now I will send it back
at my expense and get something else. Very very disappointed. If
you take pictures, listen to MP3, write texts etc then I'm sure
the phone is ok BUT if you actually do want to speak to people then
all I can say is avaoid this phone.

I've always had Nokias and they've never let me down, and so far
this phone lives up to the Nokia reputation! I haven't had a problem
with battery life, I have noticed slight background noise though
whilst making calls but otherwise clarity is fine. The phone is
easy to use, in true Nokia style it's stylish and understated. I
like the more solid feel to it than most of the flimsy models on
the market these days. I read many reviews on many Nokias before
deciding on this phone and (hope i'm not tempting fate here!) I
am very happy with my choice.

following: 1)Battery backup is not that good * 2)Phone gets hanged
while batterry is at low * 3)Sound quality is poor# Combating the
above probs: * Charge your phone for atleast 2 hrs..(No harm if
u do it for more) then see the drastic change in the battery backup
also keep your phone battery full charged hence no hang problem
will occur. #Sound quality is good but not as per its configuration..Probably
a good sound driver may help. In all its good.

I've had this phone for a couple of months now so I think that I
have had time to form a balanced opinion about the phone. when I
got it out of the box I did like the nice solid feeling it had as
I held it in the palm of my hand and I found it asthetically pleasing.
I bluetoothed a nice mp3 over from my old samsung D600 and listened
to it a few times at which point my phone crashed! so much for the
increased stability of a non-smart phone I thought but since that
first day I have had few problems. The phone takes good pics but
you will not get the best from it unless you spin the phone around
and start to use it in landscape mode using the side mounted camera
button which then activates the Auto focus function on the camera,
which works quite well (took me a while to work that out, duh.)
I am not a big texter but when I do send a texts I am impressed
by how quick they seem to be transmitted. I have a nokia bluetooth
handsfree car kit which was inherited with the car I bought and
as I hoped the 6500 works seamlessly with this kit having enabled
auto answer. One thing I have noticed is that the keyboard seems
much less tactile than my old samsungs, I was hoping it would soften
up but it hasn't happened yet. One thing that is bugging me about
the phone and I cant be the only person that has had this problem,
is that it often traps strands of hair between the black piece of
plastic that runs along the top of the front of the phone and the
steel casing!! in fact today I found a strand of my daughters hair
lodged in the front of the phone! Nokia take note, the fit really
should be more flush, this should not be happening fullstop. Overall
this is a very good phone but I fell that the build quality could
be better, why are the charging points so small? this seems to ensure
that the charging pin is needlessly fragile, nokia must be doing
a roaring trade in new chargers due to these pins snapping. At the
end of the day it does what it says on the box and it does it quite
well with what I would call decent battery life as well, lasting
a couple of days on a full battery before needing to be topped up.

I was quite optimistic about the 6500 slider, unfortuately I think
that Nokia need to review their quality control on the phone. My
first unit was scratched in the box. The second worked for a few
days, then broke. The phone was switched off to conserve the battery
when low, then it wouldn't come back on again. On the face of it
the 6500 is a very nicely designed phone, I loved the feel of the
phone (a little heavy some have commented), but I thought it felt
sturdy. One major design flaw (mentioned on the internet if you
have a search) is that the keypad gets scratched when the slider
is used. I found this very annoying, and I can image that the phone
would look very worn after a few months. Even after very light use
there were visible scratches on the keys. After all this, I decided
to swop the phone for a Samung as was fed up with the problems.
A long time since I had a Nokia, but the 6500 wasn't up to the quality
I am used to from them.

A truly amazing phone. After being wowed by my mate's 6300, I decided
to go with the 6500 Slide. What a great choice it was. The camera
is fantastic. Camera lag is apparent, but not really a problem.
The LED flash is much better than I expected, and it really works
well. Like numerous reports have said, the memory card isn't recognised
when the battery cover is taken off, but why should that be a problem?
The UI is one of Nokia's best in years. I am now converted to S40
for life! It's as self explanatory as you could ever want, and usable
by people of all ages (So good I even bought my mom a 6300 as a
present!). Also, the build quality is amazing. I can't stand these
ultra-lightweight slim phones, and I much prefer the 6500 Slide's
thick stainless steel build. Combining features, looks, and practicality,
nothing is holding the 6500 Slide back. Go get one today!

Well had the phone for 3 weeks now as an upgrade from 3 that was
to replace my old Nokia n70, that I liked even with its sometimes
quirky characteristics. I usually hate having updates because you
find that the memory cards you paid a fortune for, the extra batteries,
car chargers etc etc never fit the new phone and you always seem
to have to start again buying new ones. This phone was no exception
had to replace memory card as it only came with 256meg one, just
enough to put a few pictures on. At least the car charger and home
charger were compatible. At first when I started to use the phone
I didn’t think it was that good, but I put this down to unfamiliarity
on my behalf with its functions. It is a nice solid phone that actually
feels like it’s going to be able to take the bumps and drops
it will possibly receive over the next 12 months. The slide function
is smooth and the overall appearance with its brushed aluminium
covers looks great with an almost retro 70’s feel. Software:
(This may differ from other providers I am with 3). Well it comes
with the usual refined Nokia pc suite that is good and simple to
use. The PC suite automatically up dates now unlike the older versions
and it also does the same to the phone when you connect to your
PC. The phone itself it seems to have a great deal of junky functions
like Frames, Pier to pier texting great for the avid texters out
there its ability to text using various texting software whilst
on-line must be great but I’m happy just sending the odd text
as normal and thankfully you can delete them from the phone. The
games are new and refreshing the only downside was that most were
demo and if you wanted to play them you had to purchase them after
the demo time. The 6500 unfortunately has reverted back to the Nokia
media player, unlike the old N70 that used real player. Real player
would play almost anything that you dragged and dropped into it
from your computer, unlike the Nokia system th at needs a little
tweaking and reformatting to get it to work. Camera: The lack of
good photo software was a disappointment, very little in the way
of options. The flash is amazing very bright, the camera itself
is fine, but only fine, and it has some very clever auto functions
but looses quality when you zoom in. The auto focus system is good
but sometimes seems to take more time than it should (I possibly
just need to get used to that). Holding the camera can be tricky
it’s easy to place your fingers in front of the lens or flash.
General: The speaker is placed at the back of the phone and is very
easy to obscure with the hand during a call, with this in mind it
is a good speaker system when using in normal and in loudspeaker
mode. Nevertheless over the passed 3 weeks have grown to like this
phone, I have had no problems with it that haven’t been down
to user error. I have upgraded the memory to 2 gig and that seems
to have made the general functions much better. Would I get another
one? Yes if it was as a free upgrade but as for choosing a new phone
from scratch possibly not, but as a simple and after formularisation
a user friendly, that is good looking I would recommend to any one.

a good camera, a flash, a good interface and it has 3G. What is
not so good. It is heavy , the back lacks one lug which means it
can be slighly loose, the flash is not great, battery life is pretty
dreadful, the screen is too bright in day light. The buttons are
smallish and a little awkward near the slide (1,2,3) Mine has given
me no serious problems, touch wood (in ten days). Am I glad I bought

Well, I've owned this phone for about a fortnight now and am so
far very pleased with it. I bought it as a replacement for the 6500
Classic, as I really struggled to text with that phone, due to it
being so thin. I bought the phone for £220 from Carphone Warehouse
on the o2 network to use with my o2 contract SIM card. Firstly,
the screen is incredible. I would never use another brand phone
now as Nokia seem to be the only ones using the 16million colour
screens - and I can see a noticeable difference. The colours and
clarity are superb! Secondly, the camera is a vast improvement to
that on the Classic - but then, it's meant to be, as this phone
is a 'premium slider'. The camera isn't too important to me - I
have a 12mp Kodak digital camera anyway - but it's nice to have
a decent one on my phone for quick snaps here and there. However,
the double LED flash tends to over-expose, so I won't be using it
for any important photos! The slide mechanism is fine and I have
not noticed any marks on my keypad from using it...so far! The keypad
is a lot better than the Classic, though still not quite as text-friendly
as other keypads I've used. Still, I can easily put up with it.
The general feel of the phone is great - it feels like a real quality
piece of kit in your hand. I don't find it too bulky at all. In
my opinion, a phone needs to have a little bulk to it and a bit
of weight. Anything too small and flimsy just doesn't feel that
good to use. I'm also happy that Nokia supplied a normal charger
with this phone, and not the micro-USB found on the Classic, which
I was a little concerned would break in time. I've had no reception
problems. The phone switches from GSM to 3G all the time, depending
where I am, so I usually have a perfect signal. Internet surfing
is fine, and downloading is exceptionally quick. The battery lasts
a little longer than the Classic, but it's still nothing to write
home about. But then with such a beautiful screen and packed with
so many features, I'm willing to charge my phone every other night!
Overall, I'm delighted with this phone and I'm hoping it will last
me a good while. The 6300 was the last phone I fell in love with,
and I'm hoping to have the same kind of special relationship with
this one...so far, so good!

Great looking phone bought it as a replacement for an N95 8GB which
was too bulky for my liking and showed every damn scratch as it
was shiney black. Only a couple of flaws i'm not too keen on namely
(1) the non-standard 2.5mm headphone socket... the standard is 3.5mm
so having to take an adapator everywhere is a pain in the neck and
(2) the placement of the loudspeaker... why is on the back on the
phone so when you lay it flat on a surface the sound becomes muffled?
Stick it in the side or even 2 speakers on each side would be much
better.

phone. Great menus packed full of functions. Great personal organiser
However, after a few days, I found that the phone did lock up quite
regularly. This was almost corrected by the software download from
the Nokia web site, but the one thing that did make me return the

audio when videoing. Even when set on max volume. It was only just

Hi all, I have this phone for 2 days now, it looks good, feels good,
but does appear to have 2 major flaws from my p.o.v. Firstly, the
battery life appears to be diabolical, now I use the internet quite
a bit on my phone and I'm presuming that is the problem, although
I had a Nokia 6233 previously and it was more than adequate. Secondly,
my phone stays beside me at night (alarm etc), but now I have this
light coming from the display all night long as it appears that
the phone never goes into sleep mode (may be part of the problem
with battery too), am I missing something? Will I have to switch
my phone off at night? Other than that: browsing is pretty quick

then and it worked perfectly. It's easy to use as it's menus are
simple. The picture and video quality is excellent and the flash
works really well. Volume is really good too. The downside is that
it attracts fingerprints and it can scratch easily if not cared
for. The square navigation key sticks up a bit, and that has made
it chip on the edges. The phone is a bit heavy but I'm not bothered
about that. It feels a bit too delicate. The screen has blanked
out about ten times but it only lasts for one second. Battery life
is quite poor so i have to take my charger everywhere. I think it
is a bit over priced. But other than it is great phone! Buy this

I have had this phone for nearly 2 months and I can safely say it
is the best phone I've had. It pains me to read people reviewing
the phone after 6 hours of having it then moaning about the battery
life. The looks and feel of the phone are outstanding, sleek brushed
alluminum finish, smooth slide and a 16million pixel display. Although
quite weighty the phone feels solid and sterdy unlike all these
super slim phones where more detail has gone into making the phone
thin rather than whats inside it. The cz 3.2 megapixel camera is
brilliant and video recording is also good. The phone has all the
qualities of an N series phone but has the added benefit of it not
being slow (like many N series). The internal memory is decent but
when you get a memory card this really isnt an issue. The applications
that come with the phone are excellent and the web browser is great.
A radio is a nice inclusion as well. For me to give stars the phone
would have to be perfect, but I would have liked an infrared sensor

Well, in the space of four months, this is literally my fourth handset.
Follwing the samsung G600, the sony ericsson k850i and the LG viewty
as you can imagine I was nearing breaking point as far as phones
are concerned and just about ready to give in and use my old 3330.
I was in the o2 store returning the viewty very angry after having
it replaced with the same fault for the second time and decided
to just go another way. I was looking at the phones, not particularly
wowed by any of them to say the least when I saw the 6500 slide..
I absolutely loved the look of it, the brushed stainless steel casing
is gorgeous and when you pick the phone up its so heavy you know
its sturdy but it doesnt look robust and manly! That was the one,
my final shot at a phone! I payed £250 for it and left the store
with a little hope. When I got home I popped my sim card in and
did the standard, set the time and was in awe at the screen quality.
Very bright and vibrant! So far so good! I took a couple of snaps
with the camera, which I found were fantastic outdoors but in the
wrong lighting the flash wasnt anything to brag about. The phone
runs really fast, the menus are easy to navigate and the sound quality
is good when you consider its a nokia! I've had the handset just
over a week now and can find nothing to fault about it. Its gorgeous
to hold, use and look at, great camera for taking well lit photographs,
comes with a decent sized memory card for all your music.. and I
love that you can download cool themes onto it as well. So just
when I thought the right handset was never going to appear, there
it is. 6500 slide! :D

Having own this handset for 10 days , upgrading from a Nokia N73
ME. I'd say it's a pretty nice phone , a bit expensive for what
it has to offer though I'll kick it off with the pros - 1) Nice
Camera for an s40 , though i think the pictures are better from
my earlier 3.2mp cz same specification camera. However the slide
outbeats my n73 for outside/indoor night shots thanks to the dual
led flash. 2)Music Player is decent 3)Nice build, except there seems
to be a slight gap on the backcover (upper right side) which however
some users disagree with , while many complain abt it. 4)Stainless
steel makes it look elegant , no fingerprints , scuffs. 5)Fast Interface
(Really normal for an s40 compared to a symbian) 6)2.5mm jack 7)ADAP
support for wireless bluetooth audio 8)Adjustable Font Size , unlike
my n73 :( which need a 3rd party application to facilate bigger
font size. 9)TV OUTPUT 10) 4GB Expandable microsd , although some
claim 6gb works a breeze. Now the Cons 1)Like i Said the slight
gap between the backcover and the handset towards one side. 2)I
find it very hard to remove the simcard even after using the switch
to flush it out :/ 3)No Flash during Video Recording 4)Battery life
is below par. 5)No adjustable brightness for the display. 6)Resetting
of ringtones/themes when you remove the backcover , because there
is a small metal piece between the backcover and the memory cradle
switch which is responsible for initialising the handset to recocnise
the memory card. However you could always shift a tone/theme to the
phone memory to avoid this if that's not too much trouble 7)Loudspeaker
is useless , very low. 8)The keypad is big but i find number 2 very
annoying to go at because of the lip of the slide. Overall ,Nice
phone. I'll update this review after some more playing around. Cheers

bad but maybe these 2 things have something to do with it being

It won't let you make or recieve calls from other mobile phones
whatever the network! It works to landlines but the quality of sound
is pretty much non-existent. The one good point about it: It lets

loose when you move the phone (and can crash the camera if your

it to O2 if the problem persists - otherwise a great little phone.
[Added later ...] Right, figured it out... there's a microswitch
between the camera and the SD slot - it disconnects the memory card
when the back panel is open, just short the switch with a bit of

had mine for about 20 days now, and its had its ups and downs. firstly,
a very nice phone. more weighty than its plastic peers, but with
a better quality feel and slide mech. the software is quick and
easy to navagate. got some good applications on the phone (the casino
game is amazing :D). now the downside. its series 40. to most "normal"
people, ie non power users, this is a benefit. to me, however, used
to my slow but powerful series 60 software, it was like going back
to horse and cart. yes, it does the job, but its not got that ...oomph
series 60 does. i had broadband internet through bluetooth to my
n70, but because it was done through a .sis file, i cant do it anymore.
generally, its not as customisable as i would have liked. now for
some general issues with the phone. mine was faulty, so im sending
it back to O2. i think its a loose connection to the memory card,
because when i turn it sideways to use the camera, it says memory
card removed. it looses 15 minutes A DAY of normal time, and text
message time stamps are out by exactly an hour. tried every fix
i could find (gmt times, daylight saving times, updates, the lot)
nothing fixed this. the camera is.... bad. 3.2MP yes, set to highest
res and detail (as i do with all my settings) but the pictures contained
artifacts and stuck pixels all over them. the colours were terrible
under anything other than perfect sunlight, and blurring was always
a real problem. never had any problems with my K750i i had before
ny N70, even my N70 wouldnt blur or artifact! you cant use the front
camera except for video calls. again, unlike series 60, you cant
have individual notes displayed on the main screen, only 1 long
note, called "my note", as part of the active display. theres no
document viewer, a problem since i had my school timetable on my
n70 as an excel sheet! lol. theres no wifi, something which made
me want the n95 or e65, or even the significantly larger and more
PDA like O2 orbit. again, generally a power/business user feature.
you cant view full web pages, something i used on my N70 using my
bluetooth connection (look up GNU box). overall, if you want a powerful
phone that is fairly future proof, avoid. get a series 60. if you
arnt bothered/dont want series 60 or any of the more advanced features
available,a very good phone. im giving it 3.5 stars here, purely
because its not powerful enough for me, but it is a very good mid-high
end phone. well done to nokia, just not quite powerful enough though!

usable, battery life has been excellent, solid feel, good camera, changable
font size etc etc, i would have no problem recomending this phone
to anyone.

I've had this phone for a week now and I have absolutely no complaints!
It's a fantastic phone that looks amazing and feels solid in your
hands. I had various Samsungs before and was dubious about returning
to Nokia but this phone is probably my favourite phone I've ever
had. Pics are really good (Facebook-able), as are videos, music
functions and all other features! Plus it aint slow like so manyotherphones
out there at the moment... Highly recommended!

Before choosing this phone I read all the reviews on its competitors
and spent too much time in the phone shops. I have had this phone
for 3 weeks and am delighted with my choice. It is slightly heavier
than other phones but I find that a comfort factor and makes it
easier to use as a camera - the photos have been very acceptable
probably the Carl Zeiss lense makes a difference. Worth the effort
and I would recommend this phone.

Had it about 3 weeks now, phone is great, battery life not an issue
for me (so far), and I like the camera. Radio signal seems pretty
poor so I don't use it, but I got a free iPod Nano through Orange
when I bought it so not bothered. One thing I don't like is the
name search doesn't seem to recognise Surnames. I have a bunch of
guys names from my rugby team in the phone under 'first name' and
then 'Rugby' as the last name so if I typed in 'rugby' I'd expect
it to list everyone, but it lists no one! Same thing applies when
you have Mike Work or whatever. Also, multiple address texting is
a long and tedious process and is a real pain! In fact, i'm taking
off another star as my gloating about England's Euro 2008 campaign
was ruined due to texting issues. Didn't seem to like me sending
it to 30 addresses and it took forever.

I have just upgraded my contract and have had this phone 1 week,
i am sending it back, its terrible, the screen freezes and you have
to remove the battery to turn it off!! also if you choose a photo
as a wallpaper it suddenly dissapears and it rings with whatever
tone it likes even when you set a ringtone. Am never going to get
another one of these phones.

notice it. the camera is GREAT, takes awsome pictures and turn out
well. i had the N73 before hand and yes that phone is good but i

Well, what can i say!!! If you want a smart phone don't buy this
mobile as it isn't! If you want a good looking, well built mobile
with no frills but does what it says on the tin, then this is for
you! With series 40 operating system you can be assured of a reletively
glitch free user experience (series 60 smart phones are prone to
freezing). This handset in my honest opinion is superb, it has a
heavy but well built feel to it, has adequate battery life (remember
it is a 3G phone)& apart from a lack of w-lan has pretty much everything
else! I'd go as far to say that in my opinion it is the best non
Nokia smartphone available to date!

I've had this phone for a week now, free upgrade on o2. First the
positives : 1. The look of the phone is excellent, very stylish
with the brushed silver finish making it expensive looking and to
feel. 2. The camera is very good for a 3.2 megapixel. The autofocus
makes for great picture clarity - remember that it is still a mobile
phone and not a replacement for your 'real' camera. 3. Voice clarity
is excellent. 4. The software is excellent. Ive not had a nokia
for a number of years having had Sony and Samsung models. However,
the menus are extremely user friendly and simple to use. 5. The
phone has many features, some of which you'll never use like myself.
But for all those gadget people, this phone will not disappoint.
Now the negatives: 1. Quite a heavy phone as it is 3g. Dimensions
wise it is quite small, just slightly larger than a Samsung E900.
2. Ive only charged the phone once. After 3 days with moderate use
it will need re-charging in the next 24 hours. Previous phones Ive
had did have better battery life and given the technology on this
phone it is not really cause for complaint. On the whole I would
recommend this phone. This is my first attempt at reviewing a mobile
phone so apologies if its not what readers wanted. [Editor's comment:
Jon, it's a great review, thanks! Probably more useful than our
"review" :)]
