Nokia 3650
Review
Phone
rating:
The
Nokia 3650 was Nokia's first phone to have an integrated video camera.
The 3650 has an integrated digital camera with a 640 x 480 resolution,
plus the ability to record and play back video images. Video clips
are short - no more than 30-40 seconds maximum.
The
Nokia 3650's 4096 colour display is reasonably large at 176 x 208
pixels. However, it does not have the quality of more recent phones.
The phone can display video using several formats: MPEG-4 inside
3GP, RealAudio and RealVideo inside RealMedia format.
Although
the Nokia 3650 may not look much like the Nokia
7650, inside they are quite similar. The 3650 incorporates many
of the features that made the older 7650 into the best multimedia
phone of its time, and extends its capabilities further. Like the
7650, the Nokia 3650 has a Symbian operating system with a graphical
user interface. It also has MMS, Java, polyphonic ringtones
and Bluetooth connectivity. What the Nokia 3650 brings in
addition is reduced weight (one of the main problems with the 7650
was its sheer heaviness), plus new features like video capture,
triband, full Bluetooth support, a ringtone composer, and
lots of improvements to the overall user-friendliness of the phone.
Perhaps the one feature that will cause problems is the idiosyncratic
circular keypad design.
The
Java capability means that you can download games just as easily
as downloading ringtones or graphics. As well as Java and Symbian
games, you can also download applications like personal assistants,
travel and information tools. MMS means that you can send and receive
multimedia messages containing text, audio, graphics and video.
It
has to be said that this was a state-of-the-art phone when released!
The Nokia 3650 is simply crammed full of multimedia and connectivity
capabilities, yet it retains a nice user-friendly graphical user
interface. The 3650 has now been replaced by the Nokia
3660, which is very similar but with some significant improvements.
The main problems with the 3650 are the poor quality screen, unergonomic
keypad and unreliability.
Features
of the Nokia 3650 include:
- Integrated

had this phone for about nine months until one day it decided, for
a completely inexplicable reason, that it didnt want to be charged
up any more. after this, when the phone was on, it would display
that it had full battery only for it to just switch itself off.
the only way to get the phone to turn on again was to charge it
up! so after leaving it on charge for twenty or so minutes, i would
then be informed that the battery was full. switch it on. says iv
got full battery. 2 hours later it would switch itself off( thats
if left unused, 1 call is all i could get out of it if i actually
wanted to use it!). its a shame cos it was a really decent phone.
it didnt look the best but it it had some decent features on it
like bluetooth, decent (for a year ago) camera and a massive message
inbox. it also had 5 mb internal memory and a memory card. its also
quite durable too. i did drop it a few times in the time i had it
which could have conributed to it failing in the way it did. overall
this is a decent phone. i know a few people with this phone and
they have had no problems like i did which again leads me to beleive
that its demise could have been down to me(although someone else
wrote a reveiw detailing the same problems that i was having). overall
a really decent phone that i just wish lasted more than 9 months
hence 3 stars instead of 4!

this phone is very good considering the fact that it has loads of
cool features like bluetooth and a camera but i hate the keypad
its horrible and people took the mick because of its brick-like
shape (if you dont mind this go for the 3660 it has a better keypad!!)
it does have a nice big screen. a downside is that the camera automatically
zooms out so if you want to zoom in you have to get closer.

This phone was great at first but after a month it just kept messing
up, lines would come on the screen and then i could not start it
up at all. As for the last comment about stop adding software, well
i have never added any, never have the time tinker with it, all
ive done is type in a few phone #'s and snap some pic's! this is
just as it was from the factory except a new picture on the desktop
walpaper. This phone has been replaced twice with T-mobile, both
were replaced by refurb's, and now it's this one is dead too. Just
so you know I'm alway extremely careful with my phones i never drop
it, get it wet or anything. So it has no excuse! Do yourself a favor

I have had mine for a year roughly and i still havent played the
same game twice. It is compatable with everything! you can get files
which contain up to 900 games within for this phone. the large screen
makes it easy to read sms or anything else... with a 128 mb mmc
card inserted and the right software installed you can watch entire
tv episodes or evern movies on the phone. to all those pansies that
want small phones that do as much as the 3650, i think they will

First of all, i love this phone. There has been some glitches now
and then but hey, its all party of technology. I have had this phone
for more than a year now and i'm still pleased with it. There is
so much you can do with this phone and so much more to learn about
it. The only big problem i have had with this phone is the size.
It's too big. I wish it was smaller or even a flip style phone.
Oh yea buy the way to the person who placed a review on this phone
saying that the memory sucked or something like that or saying that
the memory can't hold crap. well let me say that if you look there
are two different memory (the memory card and the phone memory).
You probably looked at the phone memory. EVERYTHING HAS ITS UPS

Its a very unique and versatile smartphone. I bought this on January
2004 to replace my Nokia 6510. During my first few days with it,
the radial keypad was a bit of a challenge for me. Usually I could
text without looking at the keypad, but my 3650 made me check what
I was pressing. After a week, I am adept at texting quickly, but
still having some slight mistakes with keypad numbers 3 and 4. well,
its been 8 months now and I still think I have a great phone. I
planned on replacing it with a Nokia 6600 but it was virtually similar
to my 3650 except for the Nokia 6600's 65K color screen, newer Symbian
OS and a normal keypad. My 3650 is still a great phone and I still
have no major problems with it. I won't be replacing it yet, maybe

best choice! not just because i have one. i'm a professional handheld
user; Siemens, Samsung, SonyEricsson and specially Nokia. 3650 is
an all in one mobile phone. after more than 5 months, i have no
problem with it and i'm going to upgrade its memory stick to 256MB
that will help me to install and use more applications and ringtones.
its ability to use wave files as ringtone is really amazing. currently
i've installed more than 10 wave files as specialized ringtones
for persons or contact groups. creating wave files with PC and using
the easy-to-uses PCSuit to upload those files to the phone is as
easy as drinking water. 6600 has the same abilities but it is too
bulky (its width is annoying). the stylish keypad of 3650 locks
the eyes of the viewer to its unique design. IF YOU ARE LOOKING
FOR A FULL-FEATURED PHONE, YOU ARE IN A RIGHT PLACE!!!!!!!

ive just been reading all the reviews about the phone saying "no
more memory" etc, i know what the problem is.you have to exit every
application you use in order for this not to happen,if you dont
do this manually, then it will say out of memory, even if you have
loads left to use.apart from that ive been very pleased with mine, although,it
has crashed about 10 times since ive had it,which is just over 8
months,i like the round keypad, now, but i was a bit tentative of
it at first, once you get used to it its so easy.when we had free
wap from o2 i downloaded loads of wonderful applications including
extended video recording, theres loads of features you can download, all
for the cost of a few minutes on the wap.it is a bit big for the
pocket, but being a woman,i have a small camera bag with it in across
my shoulders(mainly for security),so the size is no probs, the video
is of good quality too,and mine has sound,i know some dont, thats
just bad luck, but you can download eti camcorder an d that has sound.if
you transfer all your stuff onto the memory card, then it wont say
out of memory,as it will free up the space for the phones memory.im
very reluctant to swap it for another phone, but being gaget mad,my
next phone will have mega pixels in camera.

hang it on your belt. It is unprotected from button pushing by brushing
up against anything even though you have a lock key mode it's more
hassle than it's worth to turn it on and off, all cell phones should
be flip phones for this exact problem. When you charge it at night
it somtimes turns the phone off by itself. I have missed many important
phone calls because of this!!! The 16 meg memory says it's full
when the only memory I have in the phone is a couple of phone numbers
no pictures or video. The last straw is when I saw a display on

Excellent full-featured phone. Had minor (temporary) trouble with
Infrared on one of my computers a couple of times, but it worked
on retry. I use this much more than my digicam as a camera as it
is very easier to transfer photos over the infrared. Used this as
a bluetooth modem with a friend's Apple Mac, and it worked like
a charm, albeit slowspeed to connect to internet. Impressive to
work on your laptop over the internet sitting in a car back seat
or better, a local train leaving people guessing how the hell did
this guy connect, right? The best deal on this phone I got is the
T-mobile + letstalk.com promotion, which gave me a $350 mail in
rebate on a total price of $300 + $35 for activation, so I pocketted
$15 in addition to getting the phone, on a $40 per month plan with
one year committment from T-mobile, before 2003 yearend. Now I don't
think there are no such deals but in the US a small player like
T-mobile would always give better deals than leaders like Verizon.
And, T-mobile has an offical policy to unlock the phone (so that
it can be used with other providers SIM cards)to THOSE WHO ASK ONLY,
so that the phone becomes universal. Beware, without this unlocking,
the phone works only with the original provider in the US - where
such restrictions are required as we mostly get phone free or with
a major discount.

Well, at christmas I got a S.E. T610. The camera was terrible and
there was way too little memory. I decided to sell that and get
a 3650. How pleased am I!!! Ok, first things first; the camera.
I am very pleased with this, the quality is amazing for a camera
phone. Definitely the best I have seen bar the 6600(it is a later
model of his phone). I have compared with a sagem my-x6, s e t610,
samsung v200, motorola a835, motorola v500 and v525, nokia 7250
and 7250i and they are all inferior. There is no zoom function or
effects options while taking a picture but there are applications
which allow this. Afterwards you can zoom in to about 100% before
the quality gets bad, around the same as the camera phones i mentioned
above. The video camera is not great but when you view clips in
realplayer they look fine, especially taken outside. The drawback
to the video camera is that you can only film for about 10 seconds
before it stops(you can get an application to extend vids). This
phone is very good at picking up signal. The symbian OS is very
useful as you can download upgrades, applications etc, like an mp3
player. You can even watch full length movies and play n-gage games
on this phone providing you have a large enough memory card. The
screen may not have as many colors as other phones but it is hard
to tell the difference anyway, a picture sent from this phone to
a t610 looks dull on the t610. bluetooth and IRDA are good but the
IRDA does not seem to work with samsung models. The whole manual
is infact on this phone in the help section. Very useful!!! memory
is a big deal for me and with the memory card slot you have infinite
memory. I think the largest memory card thjis phone can take is
a 256mb card but it may take a 512mb card. As I am babbling on i
will get on with the problems. these are all minor and very infrequent.
The phone has crashed 3 times in the 3 months i have had it due
to excessive program use and downloading. The video recorder occasionally
says no memory when there is planty but this stops usually idf you
restart it.The ringtones are not very loud and the vibration can
be weak in floppy clothes. I expect all of these will be dealt within
the 6600 but since that costs about three times as much as this
phone i would stick with this. You can probably get it on ebay second
hand or new with applications and extras for around £100. thanks

why i didnt go for the 3660 model? i really dont know. That aside,
its a really nice phone especially with the software that u can
get on it, enabling limitless clear videos, mp3 playback etc. Now,
will somebody tell me if there is some serious advantage that the
3660 has over this phone, other that the 65k screen(who needs that?),
like does it have a better camera? Nokia uses the same camera hardware
i guess, so its just the software right? And u can get all the software

Once off a roof it fell into a puddle of mud, I removed the covers
rinsed them under the tap re-assembled it and away it went. I actually
like the round kkeypad(most people don,t) and the operating system
is sort of similar to windows, which I find very easy to use. The
camera is the best quality I have seen from a fone transfer your

Both on its own merit and by comparison this phone is a good phone
in my opinion. Most important to a cell phone is reception and the
3650 offers very good reception as has come to be noted of most
Nokia phones. It easily picks a signal and holds it. Once you find
the sweet spot of the earpiece the quality of incoming calls is
clear. When talking to other phone users in or across networks,
they don't complain of my voice clarity. The lack of an external
antenna is no detriment to this phone. Staying with the basics,
incoming calls can be missed if you set the phone to a ring tone
only. Monophonic tones can be heard well enough but polyphonic tones
are weak (though an app is available to boost the sound but Nokia
should have been aware of this in any case). That said the 3650
has a very strong vibrate, so the best way is to set the phone to
vibrate only or vibrate with a ring tone. Beyond phone calls this
phone has most of your standard Nokia features if youre a Nokia
user. The features that I like are voice commands, picture ID's
(though full sized ID for incomming calls would be even better),
screen saver lets you know you have messages, PIM functions, very
good calender, and most forms of data communication (MMS, SMS, EMS,
GPRS, fax etc). On the note of GPRS, the speed of communication
is on par with a 56k connection on a PC. As for connectivity, IR
works well with other phones (though not with my friends Samsung
V206). With devices and PC's though Bluetooth and IR may be tricky
but if you get them up and running you can make even more use of
it. Least important is the 4096 colour screen. Its accuracy is low
duh. If you photo a purple object it may appear blue. However when
I compare my photos to those on my friends V206 or Moto720i etc
the sharpness/clarity of the pics is better on mine (once you keep
your hand still). With this and other Symbian phones expect the
usual. Sytem hangs (they have a operating system on phones with
very little RAM and low processor clock speeds) if youre running
too many progs at a time or using memory hogs e.g. Opera browser.
I could go on but in the end the 3650 is a good phone with room
for impovement. Hopefully model like the 6600 and 7700 will make
the necessary changes. As for all the Nokia haters, I can't think
of any comparable phones (P800 aside) that can touch the 3650 as
an overall MOBILE package (i.e. not just 65k and 40 poly wid cam).
That said I have played around with phones like the V206, the GD88,
T720i, Nokia 6200 and 7250, but none has delivered like the 3650.

My wife and I just got the phones over the last Christmas holidays
and I was apprehensive about the size and the odd keypad. Yet after
reading all the reviews and finding out it did so much more than
most comprable phones I went with it. I have to say I am very pleased.
The size really isn't an issue and it isn't a problem to carry about
and you get used to the keypad very quickly. As for the features
of the phone they are incredible. The picture quality is so so but
still better than most of the comprable camera phones out there
minus a couple of the new high dollar ones recently out. In the
perfect conditions ie. bright sunny day outside the pictures are
nice and decent but in dark situations they are lacking. They are
not the quality of a good digital camera but good enough for fun
and getting the point across. This is my first camera phone and
having a camera at your side is a great thing. From taking pics
while shopping or for projects and sending and getting an instant
review and response to just getting day to day stuff to share and
have fun its a great thing. It is nice to be able to take videos
although the quality of the video is poor and the resolution very
small but it is still nice to have that capability when there is
something you really need to get a vid of. Plus there is a slew
of applications out there you can add to this phone and the fact
that it has expandable memory (which most others didn't) is fantastic.
On mine I can listen to MP3s, watch movies, play numerous games,
create and edit pictures, and SO much more. I can even set it up
to monitor an area and see the timed photos or video on my comp
and use it as a short distance remote control for my TV, via infrared.
You are only limited by the memory and the applications you can
find and install and there are some real nice ones out there. When
buying a phone I had to have some key features and this phone had
them to include: a speaker phone that works well and can even be
used handsfree while in the car instead of a headset, a voice recorder
for making quick notes, the ability to send text, picture, video,
and voice messages and to combine them all so you can send a picture
of something with a recorded note on it and text if wanted, a contact
list that pops up a picture of the person calling and the ability
to set special rings for each person, the ability to browse the
internet and this can be done in regular HTML also not just WAP.
Pretty much everything in the phone is cutomizable from the menu
layout to background pictures. The phones supports polyphonic and
true ringtones and you can even download a converter application
where you can take your own .wav files and convert them to ringtones
so you can even have the person calling voice as their ring saying
"pick up its me" (or whatever), your voice saying "uh-oh its your
boss" or a bit of a real song and not just a deedle deedle deet
rendition of it. I have the seven dwarves singing Hi-Ho its off
to work I go for work. All in all it is a fantastic phone and there
are so amny more features to discuss but this review has indeed
already gone on too long . Built in bluetooth and infrared,
contacts, calendar, calc, alarm clock that will actually wake you
up with a snooze button and slowly increasing alarm, to-do lists,
notes, recorder (that will even record phone conversations), quality
games and a gameboy emulator can be installed, camera, video, voice
dialing, etc. etc. If the phone doesn't come with something you
need you are likely to find an add on application for it. Overall
I would give it a 4.5 star rating as there are a few things that
could improve but the uses for the phone make up for any shortcomings.

I bought the 3650 after owning a 3510i for a few weeks. I say 'a'
3510i, more like 4. It was full of bugs and had to be replaced 4
times, so i gave up and went for the 3650. At first the 3650 is
a daunting prospect with its unusual keypad, bulky body and an o/s
that seems to require a degree to use it. But given a month or so
these are all things that you don't just become used to, you learn
to love them. It's not the prettiest of phones but then again, if
you want pretty buy the s.e t610. Once you learn to use the phone
you will find the limit of what it can do reasonably quickly, especially
if you have a pc and a mmc reader. The choice of apps and games
is amazing, helping it to become anything you want it to be; An
mp3 player, an unlimited lenght video recorder (albeit, a poor quality
one), a games console (gameboy on a phone, how great is that?!)
, a diary, a remote control...the list goes on. The 104 mhz processor
means it can handle 3-d graphics too, indeed it can even play n-gage
games (which i hasten to add is illegal, but the potential is there!
The best thing about the phone is the way it's designed for ease
of browsing whe using wap. It's quick, has an intuitive bookmark
system tah enables you to create folders for bookmarks, handy if
you want to bookmark area of a site for quick access. All in all,
a completely amazing phone...except....well, you see i gave it 4
stars? That's because nokia appear to have forgotten to test the
phone properly. It's bug ridden (even with the latest fw version)
and tends to crash a lot and reset itself. It also has an unfortunate
habbit of suffering from the "3 flashes of death" where upon startup
it resets 3 times and dies. It happened to me a while back and took
3 weeks for them to fix it and send me it back. Not acceptable whe
you've just spent £320 on a phone. For that money you expect perfection.
My only other gripe is the 10 second limit for the pre-installed
hantro video recorder. If i met the guy who decided it'd be limited
to 10 secs i'd gladly stick it where the sun don't shine! I can
understand the neccesity to have a form of limit for mms purposes
but come on, surely it wouldn't take much effort to create the option
to switch between mms and normal limited-by-storage recording? Anyway,
great phone. B- ,must do better

My rating bounces between 4 down to 2. The circular keypad is still
not as intuitive as a normal keypad after 3.5 months of use. I have
had two complete crashes and it looks like downloading software
drives this lil' baby crazy. In a supposed smartphone that level
of unreliability is just unacceptable. The size is a bit on the
thick side. I have big hands so the length is fine, though I hanker
for a gx20(if only it had a calendar and bluetooth...) or the p900
(drool). Build quality is not the greatest. This baby because of
the size weight and body does not give you the same confidence as
a clamshell would, when dropped. And the camera lens is large and
vulnerable. Still no ariel (as on clamshells) to get broken off
so there is some pay off... When it is working, reception is fantastic
for a Nokia it murders my old (darling)6310i, and navigation is
excellent. When it comes to sensible function layout and usability
Nokia are the masters. Tis' a pity that the best software has so
many bugs and it looks as if these havent een ironed out in the

be handy but it has practically everything else. The picture-taking
resolution could be better and so could the video but let's not
forget that after all it is only a TELEPHONE! Is it possible that
we expect too much? It works like a charm and is more of a computer
than a phone. The calendar is very handy as is the schedule. One
major downside to this phone is that it's ringing volume is very
low, it might be necessary to take it to nokia to fix this problem.
The keypad takes quite a while to get used to but it isn't impossible.

I have used many different makes of handphone and for user friendly
phone, i would strongly recommend Nokia phones. For the 3650, after
using it for a few weeks. I got no complaint about it. If really
to find fault about it, it shall the the unconvention layout of
the keypad! It really makes me so fed-up that i almost wanted to
throw the phone on the floor when i am doing sms. Other than the
key pad. This is a good phone with loud ring volume. Though not
as many chord rate like other phones. But still it can be pleasant
to the ears. Color of the screen is acceptable, although it is only
4095 color, the color of the picture still can be well defined.
And best of all, the screen can be viewed very clearly when under
the sun. Unlike the T610 or the GD88/GU87. They may have have very
beautiful screen, but when trying to use them under sun, it's a
toture for the eyes. Bluetooth packed within 3650 is another plus
point for it. It can be used to connect to PDA without much hassle
like the infrared pairing. Size though is very big, but it does
not bother me at any cost. In fact it let me have a positive grip
over the phone while making a call. The earpiece. a The Volume is
bit soft when you are travelling along the road or shopping mall.
This one need improvement. Battery life. If under average heavy
usage per day, the battery meter may show it left about half of
the battery life. Need to charge up if you need to use it again
under average heavy usage. If not the batt may simply let you down
on the next day operation. The alpha on the key pad is a bit small
and if the led light is on, it maybe difficult to see them. So i
use a 3rd party keypad which lit up the whole keypad instead of
only shine through the alpha only. Well, no handphone is perfect.
It simply depend wat you wants from them and your expectation out
of it. Good days.

but not too bad at all. The phone is also very light for it's size.
Unfortunately battery life is not the best as you simply can't resist
using all the amazing software which drains the battery. I've had
it for a few days and taking pics, video clips, using the diary,
games, phone, etc it seems to last around a day and a half if not
switched off. I'd definately recomend this phone to anyone. Phones
date quite quickly but the ability to install and manage applications
means the 3650 will a great phone for some time.

....the phone is totally awesome!! nice screen, sound plus the video's
great. Try to install programs that runs MP3s,and you can even watch
a movie that is if you have a 128 MB MMC Card. 1 movie takes about
80MB space on the card. Buy it!!

When I decided to try this phone out, I knew I was taking a risk
since it is expensive. If you buy an expensive phone in India, you
are stuck with it since if you decide to sell it, you have to sell
it pretty low. But I am pleased with its performance so far. The
first thing one notices is that the volume of Ringtones is low.
I used to own a Nokia 6610 earlier which is a very good phone with
stereophonic sound. You can solve this problem by using Anvil studio
to clone the lead tracks and then loading the midi file onto the
3650. That problem is solved. The key feature that will hit you
in comparison with other phones is the memory capacity. You will
find the extra memory very useful. You can really use the phone
like a warehouse. But after viewing enough images, make sure to
compress memory atleast 5 times a day. Use a freeware like File
Explorer or use programs like stacker or Appman from symbianware
available from www.symbianware.com. If you care for your phone knowing
its certain limitations it will serve you well. As a phone it does
well. The sound clarity is excellent. The speakerphone sounds great.
The profiles are excellent. The battery life needs to be improved
by Nokia. Nokia, Take a cue from Sony Ericsson. In battery life,
SE has no match. Well, the circular pad feels strange, but it is
not such a defect to discard a good phone. If you are a avid surfer,
this phone is for you. The micro-browsing and wap surfing is flawless.
But make sure to compress memory after a long session of downloads.
Another advantage I have noticed is the infinite numbers you can
store against one name in the address book. You dont have to split
the same name to store many numbers. Amazing. BT and IR work flawlessly.
Camera pictures are pretty clear. By introducing the Video recording,
Nokia has made a point. Don't expect a Digicam quality out of a
device meant to be used as a phone. Use it for video if you forgot
your digicam and you need a clip in an emergency. Also the software
supplied by Nokia integrates seamlessly with the device as do the
external third-party ones. Some of them which I found useful are:
1) sProfiles by Symbianware 2) Stacker by Symbianware 3) MiniGPS
by Psiloc 4) World clock by Psiloc 5) TaskMan by Psiloc 6) File
Explorer (freeware) 7) Task Switcher (freeware) 8) df Minutes or
time tracker 9) Ringtone Studio Hope this review was useful.

Awsome phone with great features. I only have one gripe and that
is that the ringer is a bit soft compared to the 6610 or 7210.

The phone is really outstanding..I think I am the fastest SMS texter..Once
you get used to it, U gonna love the way you will Send SMS..UNLIMITED!
It has a lot of feature. Unlike 7650, it has Expandable Memory which
you could store moving video with sounds, truetones, java games,
MP3 songs(MP3player must be installed, and many other softwares
that you can find in www.my-symbian.com..VERY COOL!!! BUT I AM NOW
WAITING FOR THE NOKIA 6600...

This fone sucks! the application always crushed and the keypads
are freezing. I never used all it's features to frequent crushing.
Don't buy it if you're a middle class person. You'll spend a lot
of money in repairing this fone.

This phone is fantastic! If phones were glamour models, this would
be Jordan - Beautiful to look at, and BIG on functions! The quality
is superb, comes with great ringtones, and the camera is the best
I've seen on a phone! Ignore those people who dont like the keypad,
I've had the phone a few hours and already I'm getting used to it!
Its also not as big as the 3G phones (apart from NEC e606) but these
have been recalled, due to bad batteries, so you won't be able to
get one anywhere! So I recommend this one over all the other 3G's,
if its a video phone you"re after! HINT: If you cannot record sound
on the video recorder, go to nokia.com or co.uk, and you'll find
an updated recorder to download, that enables this! (You'll need
to be able to connect your phone to your PC though) They also have
loads of other free stuff! Hope I have been of some help!

The nokia 3650 is an excellent phone. It is packed with a nice OS
which is symbian and the memory can still be upgraded, unlike the
nokia 7650. Nice TFT screen and good camera among others. The only
flaw I've notice is the keypad which is unconventional and having
used to it will take the phone owner up to 2 weeks (as in my case).
Just hope that the OS can be upgraded to a higher version for more
functionality. Btw, it has bluetooth function is very cool.

I was thinking about a P800 then I happened to realize that 3650
could give 90% what a P800 gives. There is no need to compare it
with the 7650 cause they are the same class due to 7650's memory
problem. 3650's only rival is the P800 and it is far too expensive
when you consider 3650's price. Get reqwireless webviewer 3.0 it
works perfect. I use it as my universal remote controller at home.
If your service provider is supporting you can watch live TV on
it as I do. Bottom line; if money does not matter and if you like
touch screens P800 has no alternative, but 3650 can give you what
you need.

First thing. This phone is disgusting. The shape and size is really
horrible. The key pad is near impossible to use especially for sending
MMS. At first i liked the phone, but soon i realised what i had
bought. The camera and video are actually o.k. HOWEVER, after using
for a while i noticed it kept crashing and freezing up. This happens
regularly. The phone has many features, but i never had the chance
to use them mainly due to bluetooth. Overall i would recommend staying
away from it....

I have had my 3650 for a few months now and can honestly say it's
a quality phone,i've had no problems at all and the ringtones sound
brilliant just listen to Clocks by coldplay and you will know what
i mean, it has so many cool features such as handsfree, and the
moving video is cool, the only fault i find is its a bit bigger
than my previous phones which were Nokia 8850, motorola wings, and
startac, but nobody has said "is that a 3650 in your pocket or are
you just pleased to see me" so it cant be that big, also the camera
is excellent even at low light levels it takes a good photo. So
if you are thinking of getting one my advice is go for it.

Hard to describe..Everything is great except the form. Also don't
expect to write lots of SMS's with that weird keyboard. You can't
see the letters on the keyboard at night because it is too brightly
backlit. The software crashes when you get two calls at the same
time and try to put one on hold. Battery is a recharge everyday.
Video is cool, but no sound capability - although they preload it
with a lot of stupid commercials with sound. I went on eBay and
bought the Sharp Sharp GX10i after owning this two weeks. Maybe
it will be better.

i didn't receive a good impression when i saw the unit. when the
line up of the nokia phones came out it was the suckiest model i've
ever seen. a circular keypad isn't what i really wanted. but when
i decided to buy one, things changed. i really dont know what made
me buy the cel, there were other cooler models out there. what made
me buy it was the fact that it was the only cel sold in our place
that could record videos. i wanted to try it out. to tell you the
truth the phone is pretty nice. images are good and its not that
big as other reviewers say. the keypad takes time to get used to
but its ok. i also like the idea of expandable memory. i had to
buy a bluetooth unit coz i dont have a notebook. its nice for people
who travel a lot, i dont recommend it to people who are in it for
the looks, games are nice too.
