This is a beauty from Nokia, but the battery sucks. I had non-symbian
nokia phones and SE phones before which easily gave me a charge
of upto a week. But this phone never lasts for even 2 full days.
Other than the battery life problem, In general, this is a value
for money phone. probably the SE K750 has the much better still
camera. but 3600 has a 15fps vga video mode which is very interesting.
I wouldnt recommend this phone to anyone though til the battery
life issues are resolved.

Overall this is an excellent phone; the camara is very clear, the
sound is very clear and lound, it is small hence fits well in a
pocket; does not have sharp corners, batery life is approx 2 to
3 days, but can be fully charged in 5 to 7 minutes. It takes 8 GB
card which means you can store anything you want. You can move things
aroung from phone to memory card and from phone to PC easily; and
it looks good. Great phone.

The radiation (SAR) at 0.69 of this phone is not low nor too high.
So, I will use Flight mode whenever I don't need to use tel function
so as to reduce the radiation. I have a LG 700 which SAR is only
0.36 and this is much better than 3600. But too pity LG 700 is very
user-not-friendly and I shall sell it and then buy a 3600. But I
do worry about the battery backup period of 3600. 2 days backup
period under moderate usage is really to short to me. I wish that
it will at least lasts for 3 days before recharging is required.

Had this phone and loved it for the period of two months. Then there
was a defect and till this morning after a month and half of searching,
there are no replacement batteries as the battery type is quite
new an d cannot be found. It's sleek, portable and beautiful but
u wouldn't recommend it.

Pat has already written an excellent review of this phone but to
add mine...This is my first Nokia (always had SE) I'm pleasantly
surprised as it's pretty good. It is easy to use, especially to
text (unlike the LG Cookie I returned) and the photos taken with
flash are very good, imo as good as my K800i. I forgot to take the
plastic off the lens at first which resulted in a hazy photo, but
the second pic I took without it on was perfect. The sound is good,
it's no SE Walkman, but still not bad. The sound does come out of
the back, but if you place it screen down, then no problem. Battery
life isn't on par with SE but from it's first charge has lasted
a couple of days with use. As mentioned it is difficult to get the
back off the phone. You have to press in the little button at the
end of the phone and get your nails under it to prise it off..so
if you're someone who is always swapping over sims or memory cards
then this will be a bit annoying. The video isn't very good on playback,
it looks quite grainy. However the positives of this phone outweigh
the minor niggles for me. It's lightweight, nicely balanced and
easy to use. Very good phone for the price.

I purchased the Nokia 3600 slide. There are two options for the
type of ring, "ringing" and "assending". The option of ringing does
not work as expected and actually works similar to the assending
mode. I talked to the Nokia care centre and then confirmed that
this is a defect in all the music edition series of Nokia. Anyone
aware of this information ?

Good phone, features are very nice, very convenient to operate.
Take the plastic sheet from back cover which makes good image quality.
Before that, see the image quality difference by taking snaps with
and without backcover(remove back cover which has the plastic sheet,
then take photo). After seeing both the images, you'll surely remove
the plastic sheet :-) Otherwise, sound quality is just satisfactory(I
used W550i earlier). The package headset quality is not so good
as it doesn't neatly fits to ears(ear padding is not impressive,
it pains after sometime). Overall, for the price, I think its the
best phone in terms of features and looks... Go for it if your budget
matches teh phone.

I am also loving this phone! I use it for texting/calling and its
sooo easy to use. It feels quality to hold and has so many little
quirky featues such as favorite text recipient, summary of text
received showing who has text you, great light up key pad, camera
and screen are great too. The battery life so far appears to be
better than previous Nokia's I've had. I agree that the back cover
is hard to take off and the battery does fall out but please don't
let this put you off this mobi as its an outstanding model! I cannot
comment on Web use/music playing as I don't use it for these reasons.

I've had this phone for a week now, and I have to say that I'm pleased
with its looks and performance. I read several reviews about this
phone in the internet, and the gripes about this product are usually
confined to its mediocre camera and the fact that the lower keys
tend to get scratched when the slider is opened. Another gripe is
of course that it is not a 3G phone. I got over these problems in
the following manner, and now I have little to complain about this
camera. The first thing you have to do regarding its camera is to
remove the protective plastic sheet that covers the camera. Many
people want to leave this on in order to protect the camera. You
will not get good shots if you leave the cover on. I also noticed
that there was a long delay between pressing the capture button
and the actual shutter release clicking. I took it back to the shop
where I bought it, and the man there said that it did this because
I had set the picture size to the largest. Using the settings menu
for the camera, he adjusted the picture size to a normal one, and
the delay disappeared. The double flash present is not very powerful,
so don't expect much from it. I use this phone almost exclusively
for making and receiving calls, and the occasional text messaging.
I therefore do not open the slide very often. If you have occasion
to open the slider frequently, then do it with care, and your lower
keys will not be scratched. The main menu can be accessed with the
slider closed - so you can do most things with the slider closed.
I hardly ever make video calls or download stuff from the net using
phones, so I do not miss 3G. Other minor complaints that I heard
about this phone is that the back cover is very difficult to remove,
the battery drops off after removing this cover, and that the micro
SD card can only be accessed after removing the back cover. These
are only minor problems, and should not prevent you from buying
this otherwise excellent phone. What I like about this phone is:
Its compact size ( when the slider is closed ) Its large keys, which
make using the phone a breeze. A beautiful screen with crisp texts
and colorful pictures. The new noise canceling feature for phonecalls.
Very good FM radio. Max 4gb micro SD storage card A 2.5mm headphone
jack. You can use a 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter to listen to music using
high quality headphones. No exposed terminals which can touch coins
or metal objects when the phone is in your pocket. This is about
the thirtieth phone I've owned so far. I've had far higher tech.
phones than this before; but with regard to value for money, this
phone wins hands down.
