The
"cool feature" of the Nokia 3200 is that you can create
your own custom covers, using photos or your own design or artwork.
The
Nokia 3200 has an integrated digital camera, which you can use to
take snaps, send to friends, download to your computer, or print
and use to make your own cover design. The 3200 also has a built-in
FM radio, as well as support for wallpaper, polyphonic ringtones
and Java games, making it a good all-round fun phone.
Overall
the phone offers a surprisingly large range of features. Apart from
the quality of the camera itself, which is really very poor, the
only things that Nokia could have improved are the ease-of-use of
the keypad, and in common with most other Nokia phones, the poor
colour resolution. 4096 colours is not really adequate for a camera
phone. This is really a toy camera phone, and the new 3220
is a much better choice provided that you don't need the built-in
radio.

me is that you cant have a screen saver! Its just the time. Thats

I have owned thi8s phone for about 3 months now and in general i
am happy with it. I like the fact that it has a still camera integrated,
flashlight (which after about a week you get bored of using), Edge
GPRS mobile internet is VERY VERY fast indeed, and i was attracted
to the fact that you can customise the covers into your own design.
However, unfortunately the phone does have some negative aspects,
it is true that it the key pad isn't the easiest to use, but after
a week, you do get used to it. Also, the clear front and rear fascia's
seem very easy to scratch and after taking the covers off to change
the inside picture, the covers do not hold on to the handset very
well, and the covers start to creak when the phone is in use. The
camera is great for quick pictures, but the pixel size and screen
size are poor, you can only really see the picture properly when
downloaded to a pc (via usb/infrared). Picture quality is quite
good, but not great, and it is a shame there is no digital zoom
on the camera. This is, in general quite a good entry/youth phone
from Nokia, but if you are taken by a camera phone, take a look
at the Samsung E700-this has 5x digital zoom camera, far superior
colour screen and the camera is of a far higher quality and the
build of the Samsung is better. The Nokia 3200 is really aimed at
the lowest end of the market and youth. Rating:

so it doesn't break the bank! The memory isn't v big so I upload
them to my computer with an old vtech infra-red thingy! Another
thing 2 do: go to ebay.co.uk and buy a nokia DKU-5 data cable and
a cd that has loads of wallpapers, applications, game etc on it.
I did. I'm glad. Buy this phone! I have 2 say tho, if ur aged 22+

I wanted the 3200, coz my uncle showed me it) and he looks stupid

Let me start out by saying which phones i have used: Motorola v60
Nokia 8390 Nokia 3595 Motorola T720 Panasonic GU87 nokia 3200 The
nokia 3200 is a great phone compared to these other phones, of which
some are really expensive. i recently got a GU87 and paid 200 for
it on ebayy. it sucks! Nokia makes the best phones ever. theyre
so easy to use, you can hear who u are talking to, speakerphone
is loud, rings are loud. infrared is awesome. i get free ringtones
and pics thru infrared. no downloading. besides the fact that this
phone is pretty ugly, has weird buttons, and dust gets on the inside
screen very easily, it is an excellent phone. you cant b!tch for
somethin you paid 150-200 dollars for. you pay for what you get.
now all these people complain about this phone need to shell out
$400 and go get the phone with 65K color screens and etc. Cons:
cheap plastic cover, weird button layout. i wonder if a new button
layout is possible with a change of faceplatee. if anyone knows
let me know. pakiheat77@hotmail.com Rating:

if i wanted a camera i would have bought one!! the polyphonic ringtones
are great and coloured image wallpapers add to the look, it also
has a torch great for finding the keyhole when you are drunk! Some

For me, this phone is still the best buy for all nokia, eventhough
other people tend to critize the looks and the design of this phone,
i still love it. I definitely agree with others that it has a cheap
look and a crappy casing. But looks dont count for me, its the inside
features that matters. In P13,000 - you already get a phone with
a camera, a radio, a voice recorder and the best thing - the flash
light that is built-in esp. that once in a while we do have brown-outs
here and the infrared which is most useful of all in exchanging
pix from phone to phone or PC. I must say that this phone is a recommends
for those who are tight in budget and dont have the money to go
for a Nokia 6600 or 3650. Downside though, is has only 1mb of memory
that it is not enough to store alot of images.. i recommend that
you must have a PC that has infrared port on it so that you can
upload the pics you got from the phone to the harddisk on your PC
or vice-versa. Between 7250i and 3200 - i defin itely choose 3200!
lesser the price and somewhat have same features on it... OVERALL....

I miss this phone so much!I have changed my unit to SE T610 hoping
that it would be upgraded but I was wrong! First, 3200 polyhonic
ringtones is the best as you can feel the beat and the whole clarity
of the tones that sounds very cool and impressive; T610 has real
sounds, I think so, but not audible even the phone prompts you that
very loud tones could damage hearing...lier! plus you cannot set
downloaded tones as your message alert tone hmmmmm... bad thing!
T610 has no built in radio and loudspeaker although its resolution
is good but the picture is dim, dull etc.. no life..exactly! We
can't expect best image quality with 3200 but I think it only matches
the price, its price is reasonable for all those features (camera,
radio, voice recorder, polyphonic ringtones and a lot more...) Lastly,
keypad is nice to press, very unique and the backlight is the brightest!
The bad thing only for this phone is the cut-off covers that looks
very cheap and plastic. Rating:

for snapshot, a radio with good reception, a flashlight handy inside

what do you expect, this is a phone.. it just comes handy in case

This phone is Brill for the price. I bought it for £150 offline
and have not regretted it since. Its customisable to the max. degree.
ALthough some people dont really care for such things it compensates
with features that are found on higher end phones. It comes with
EDGE and the latest wap browsing capabilities and so is one of the
best models out @ the mo. Only negatives are the difficulties in
taking of the cover which i suspect will get worn out in due course
and also the sides of the case which are see through plastic. If
only they had made the sides a really slick colour! Also the wierd
button lay-out takes some getting used to which may put some people
off. Apart from that what more could you want??? Radio, MMS, a DECENT
(nothing special) CAmera, voice recorder + more. This phone probably
appeals to the more fasion conscious end of the market nokia are
aiming at (i.e- students and those in thier 20's). If you think
a phones a 'fashion accesory' then this is a MUST have. Rating:

The Nokia 3200 is certainly different! With it's easily customisable
covers using photos, drawings or clipart images, this phone is aimed
at the younger end of the market. It is not for adults true but
kids will love it! Can you imagine the girls in the playground comparing
the unique look of their phones with pictures of their latest pop
idols and the boys comparing their Thierry Henry and Ronaldo covers?
The camera gives them the added fun of capturing special moments
which they can use as screen backgrounds, as the quality cannot
be used for anything more than this. By Son loves his phone and
so too do his mates and I would recommend this for the under seventeens.
I would not recommend it for adults though, as it has not be aimed
or designed for that market. Get a 6200. KJ Rating:

and packs in all features found in higher-end Nokia's. It does have
a 4096 color screen, and CIF quality camera.. so do most other more
expensive phones from Nokia like the 6220, 7250i and 7650. Why spend
so much more when you can get all the features for much lesser..
and in a brand new Series 40 mobile? This phone is for those who
believe that their mobile is an extension of themselves.. hence
its personalizable to a large extent. Rating:

The design can't be called otherwise than youth. Transparent plastic
is used for case, cheerful graphical ornament. On the front panel
the plastic is smooth and transparent, so you can see clearly the
cut-out cover. It makes the phone look unique and original without
a doubt. It's not hard to take off both panels, meanwhile when they're
on the phone - it doesn't squeak a lot, just a little crunching
whenever you clang the phone. Each phone with exchangeable panels
has one of the two disadvantages: either it's panels are really
hard to remove, or it squeaks like an old door. No phone which wouldn't
have one of these terms on board was released yet The display is
typical for this segment and current Nokia phones. It can display
up to 4096 colors, the resolution is 128x128 pixels (28x28 mm, although
the manufacturer claims that it's 27.3x27.3 mm). Five text lines
and two extra lines for service needs can be displayed at once.
When the phone encounters direct sunlight, the screen turns pale,
although it's still readable. More serious problem comes with choosing
the right color theme. Your choice will not only define the color
of the menu, but the same color will be set forservice icons during
stand by mode. In my opinion, most of the variants (if dark wallpaper
is chosen) look awful, you have to put a great amount of effort
to check the network or battery status. The optimal choice will
be black indicator with white wallpaper, but this combination is
found only in one color set, but in that case the other menu items
will look crappy. You will have to find a compromise, although most
of the users will not find this problem important. Perhaps they
will be right, but this issue doesn't bring any positive thoughts
One of the peculiarities is that the ring tone sound comes from
the left side, the holes are rather big, and so the sound volume
is higher than first Series 40 models (Nokia 7210/6610). Although
the volume doesn't differ severely Rating:
