The
Motorola E1070 is an upgraded version of the E1000.
It's a clamshell 3G phone with a good range of features, including
an excellent quality screen, a 1.3 megapixel camera, video calling
and an MP3 player. The flat keypad can take a little bit of getting
used to, and navigation is typically Motorola - it may take users
of other brands a while to get used to. The battery life of the
E1070 is much better than that of the E1000, but the phone is not
very reliable and isn't recommended.

omg how are some people giving so many bad reviews about this phone??!!
i have had this phone for over a year now and, after reading some
of the reviews below, had none of the issues stated except for the
constant buzzing noise from the keypad. also the memory card doesn't
seem to want to stay in the phone. the tab that keeps it in pops
out. has anyone else had this problem? and if so, is there a solution
other than getting a replacement phone? maybe i got this phone after
the bugs were repaired? no white/freezing screen, battery life is
average, phonebook completely fine, no currupt photos. solution
to 'sometimes not taking pitures'. when the phone is recharging
while switched on some functions do not work. turn off and on and
they will be fine. just need to know your phone.

I've had this phone for 18 months now and cannot wait to get rid
of it. Here are some things that it has done to me in the past:
- Blocked many of my phone contacts and doesn't allow me to edit,
text or call them - refuses to tak photos or produces corrupt images
- when playing back a recorded video, there is a constant and very
loud buzzing sound - It says i have new answerphone messages and
texts when I do not - Will not let me get onto my missed calls list
- Deletes any new numbers added to my phonebook These are just some
of the things that have really put me off of this phone and i would
advise people not to buy it.

Had this phone a while now. Apart from a loud buzzing initially,
It seemed like a good phone. I like the size/weight,the keypad and
its easy to use. But, recently I started having major problems with
it. It freezes alot of the time - usually when i get a call or text
and when i am playing music. The only way i can get it working again
is to remove/replace the battery, which frankly, is a pain in the
bum and is starting to push me over the edge - if it does it again
I think I might break something. The camera frequently doesnt work
and when it does the photos are often corrupted. It gets unbelievably
hot after I have been using it for even a short length of time.
I am a first time motorola user and I would certainly think twice
about buying another one.

I recommened my friend to buy this phone as a second hand phone.
Then she bought it and she have no problem with this phone at all.
I suggest you guys tranfer songs or others via a card reader because
sometimes you will experience your things in T-Flash gone after
you use the data link. The MP3 sound is very fantastic and the screen
is cool. We don't expect much about the camera because she used
it as a music phone, also no 3G service in our country. The bad thing
she met is MP3 ringtones is not lound enough, when cored with V360
or E680i.

and Motorola still have phone memory issues. After a couple of days
use, pictures do not save; I have to turn it off remove and replace

I've had 3 replacements for this phone since June, and I am not
impressed. Bad points: With all 3 phones, the flip has broken, and
I have heard this is a common problem with other flip motorolas.
Two of my phones constantly turned themselves off, or froze. (One
turned off and never turned back on again) Another phone lost the
speaker (in the flip) so I couldn't answer any calls unless on speakerphone.
The Mp3 player doesnt work unless you open the songs directly. Good
Points: The phone has a large amount of memory, great for storing
photos or songs. The display looks good, and I like the customizable
menu. Sound quality is good. Overall, I wouldn't get this phone,
its unreliable.

It is very good indeed as a 3G phone with so good a size, a screen,
music player and takes T-Flash card. I have no problem recommending
it to others. The phone is well constructed and the i-Tap function
needs time to accustom to. Well, it can be disabled. Chinese input
is fine but not excellent. Navigation is a little bit difficult.
But, alarm setting and disabling is clumsy. Cameras are OK. Songs
are sorted in reverse order which is totally strange. But, it offers
stereo sound effect and bass boost in 7 steps. Quite nice indeed.
Remind you that the T-flash card must be in FAT format as the phone
cannot write files in it with FAT32.

Having had the Samsung D600(great phone) before christmas i was
becoming bored with it so i decided to change to the E1070. Havin
had the phone 1 day i had my first fault. The phone wasn't reading
the memory card so off it went back and a replacemnt was sent out.
With the second phone seemingly being fine i was happy. The camera's
are good (internal and external), the phone it's self wasn't to
heavy and battery life was okay considering it is a 3G phone. Having
had a V525 before i was familiar with the layout and menu options.
Using the flat (razr v3 like) keypad took a bit getting used to.
Thus the happy story ends. Now into the end of April the phones
a nightmare. Everyone knows Motorola has software issues but i thought
they were behind them. My camera won't work and in order to get
it to work i used to have to swithch it off and on. Now that doesn't
even work. On the occasion it did work through my turbulent times
the photo's were corrupt and couldn't be deleted. Now i've got an
album with blank useless photo's. The phon it's self is now freezing
and swithching it's self off. Alarms that i've set cancel themselves
and don't go off. My flip mechanism does what it wants. Befor if
i half opened it it slam shut. now if i half open it it just stays
open. If i press it to shut it it spring up. To fully shut it i
have to fully open it. When it's shut there also seem to be a little
play in it. Above all these faults one fault is the top of my MOTOROLA
HATE LIST--------->>>>> THE PREDICTIVE TEXT. What the hell were
they thinking when the wrote the programme for this. Mmmmmmm they
say. Lets write a programme thats totally useless doesn't remeber
words and doesn't even have a good word dictionary in it. Compared
to any other phone on the market this text system is like trying
to compete round the CRYSTAL MAZE with Richard O'brian crammed in
your left ear and the black night out of MONTY PYTHON chompin at
your big toe. Now i'm stuck with a phone on a 12 month contract
that my provider says they can't replace because they say it's a
manufacturer fault. The manufacturer say they'll take it and fix
it but it'll cost me 12 blue duck eggs 11 filtered tea bags 10 glazed
donuts 9 picked cherry's 8 norwegian lesbians 7 mucky pups 6 shaaaaved
cats 5 old nokia's 4 bitten buttons 3 spare tyres 2 pierced nipples
and 1(hundred) GREAT BRITISH POUNDS. Now am gonna buy a PAYG phone

I purchased my Motorola E1070 for US$400 (Php 21,000) at a local
dealer last March 12. However, after a week's use, a loud humming
sound can be heard during playback of any short video I take. The
hum drowns out all recorded audio. And frequently, "SYSTEM ERROR"
appears, which prompts me to switch off the phone, otherwise, it
is non-functional. Furthermore, as if the phone has a mind of its
own, it just wont take pictures nor videos, prompting me to turn
it off again. At present, whenever a second party calls me, they
can hardly hear my voice. Callers also noted the same humming sound
at the background whenever they speak to me. I would just like to
find out if this ever happened to anyone who has the same phone
model. Is there a solution/software that I can download? Does anybody
have a solution? It is such a hassle, for in our country, cellular
phones are not replaced promptly. It sometimes takes more than 2
weeks for a phone to be diagnosed defective. Oftentimes, phones
are repaired. It's very inconvenient. Can you help me? I tried calling
the 1-800 number, their solution is to bring it back to the dealer.
I'm just hoping that there is a simpler and quicker way. Thank you
