I have had this phone now for a few months ive had no problems except a random reset every now and again which is strange nice phone could do with more support eg apps like iphone has and don't like the way it uses orange gps using the wifi function as it charges you for using your free home wifi that real bad on their part. Just got a LG GT505 and its been working fine. I've had it for 3 weeks with no problem (cross your fingers) though I know some friends who have problems all the time with LG phones(which is known to break down)... other than that though... I LOVE this phone :) It's not heavy, it has the most important features I want (wi-fi, 5 megapixel cam, good media player... except for the video portion which can't play much on it of quality) and I really enjoy the design... I suggest get one!

I am currently awaiting a courier to bring me my second replacement of this model since my supposed "upgrade" from Orange. The first few weeks proved very impressive indeed until the phone completely stopped. Not a hint of warning, just stopped. I contacted my supplier who advised me that there was a fault with the handset. Thank you, I already knew that!!! I had an exchange about 4 weeks ago and the same thing has happened again. The phone just stopped without warning. Orange tell me I cannot change it although it fails in its most basic function. Other than that, a great phone when it is not just stopping. I am self employed and cannot run the risk that the thing will not go faulty. Interesting facts of the way we live today:- LG made a faulty item. Orange have recommended it to me (and replaced it twice in 4 months). Obviously it is my fault for Chosing to accep it in the first place. What a wonderful world it is

Bought in Belgium (170 euros, network-free!), use it in Hungary, Excellent. Light (less than 100 grams - compare to hero or Iphone-one third less), clear, 3 days without re-charging. Very logical menu, easy but safe use (no unintentional actions). The only problem is that it really wants to go online on the telephone network instead of using the wifi. I will have to resolve that.

Bought this phone while in Thailand for work. loved it for the first 10 days! thought it was amazing. BUT THEN the inner screen broke. I had not dropped the phone once or anything. I was not using it when it broke. Because I bought the phone in Thailand (from a legit phone shop - not some crappy market or anything) LG have been unhelpful about getting it repaired. NOT happy - will not be chosing LG in the future.

The LG GT505 is a great phone and i've not encountered any problems with it yet. Though the Samsung Jet has battery problems and mine had to be repaired 3 times before the battery was fine.

Just bought this phone a couple of days ago, it's loaded with lots of extra's that make it appear great. GPS, 5MP camera, wifi the rest. But unfortunately the LG PC suite that comes with the phone is not compatible with some contact and E-mail programs, such as Morzilla Thunderbird making it pretty difficult to get all your contacts into unless you use microsoft office. Also it seems no support is currently available to help you install new java applications. Overall pretty disappointing

This phone is amazing! For its price and value for moeny, I would say this phone is an excellent choice. It has all the features that I want in a phone: wifi, gprs, bluetooth, 5mp camera with flash, sensitive touch screen, loud speaker, can work with office document, pdf, pictures, audio, and video. And what I love most is the jogging companion tool where you can monitor the distance and time. I've used iPhone 2G & 3G, Lg Cookie, Nokia 5800 music Express, HTC touch, and non of them can make me happy as my LG GT505. I's so happy to have it and I recommend it to others too..I'm not working with LG company ha?! hehehe

First LG phone. It was offered as an upgrade and at first I wasnt exactly impressed by it. However, Im beginning to love it and would def be interested in having another LG phone. Unlike others, I have no problem using my wifi?? and it remembers if I have used predictive text. All in all, I love it and my friends seem to feel the same too =)

really worried after reading reviews as it was being sent as a free upgrade with orange,at first it drove me insane, but after a few hours playing with it,i like it,i have no problem with the wi fi access i connects to the home hub instantly, you just select wi fi and not uma and pair in wi fi options, 3g+ is also good, and i have tried the sat nav out indoors!!!, impressed how fast it found me ,and used 8 satellites, its my first all touch phone and it takes a little while to adjust, but persevere if you dont want to pay a lot extra to upgrade, the camera is good , and i to have no problems remembering text input, you can customise wallpaper and text colours, and it has a great feature if you scroll side ways you can put all your fav numbers in to 3 different boxs for quick access,so after intial frustration i quite like the phone early days but i think i will be keeping it.

Agree with Mike - Orange have ruined the phone by disbling the wifi access. Do not buy if you want to access the internet free via your home WIFI broadband - you can only access via UMA.

Exclusive Orange phone in the UK. Orange have completely ruined the phone by effectively disabling wifi access. You can only access wifi as a UMA, which means Orange will charge you for using you own wifi access point.

This was my first LG phone and I was a bit hesitant having disliked my girlfriends secret in the past. This handset was suggested to me by an Orange assistant as a free alternative to the Samsung Jet (which I would have had to pay for on an upgrade) and I have to say that although I don't have any major gripes with the phone or it's features it doesn't particularly inspire. I have to disagree with Matthew's comments about the phone not remembering the last text input for messaging, and when unlocking I always use the touch screen to unlock which is fine. Probably the biggest disappointment is with the styling of the screens. The options are very functional but with only 2 themes (black or white) and the inability to customise the menus (as you can with basic Nokias) the phone is a bit rigid and boring. There is no option to view contacts in a list and view contact photos which I've had with my last 2 phones and the whole uniformity which may not bother many does frustrate me. As mentioned by Matthew the internet is very quick but to zoom in explorer sessions is nowhere near as seamless and easy as on an iphone. Whilst I will be sticking with my GT505, I would advise those looking for a more fun, interactive phone to get a tocco

I chose this phone for my upgrade because I have owned a viewty in the past and thought with them both being LG touch screens I could expect the same (or maybe a few minor improvements), but unfortunately I was wrong. Many small problems with the phone amount to it really being quite frustrating. Here’s just a few: The “hold key” on the side now needs to be held for roughly five seconds to unlock the handset; when creating a new message, the phone doesn’t remember that your previous text was sent using predictive text (you must turn it on every time – although it does seem to remember it in the last place I’d want it to, the phone book); you cannot change the name of the preset profiles; the ‘c’ button on the viewty has been changed to a completely pointless menu button, and the c is now in an awkward place on the touch screen keypad. There really aren’t any major problems with the phone, and the internet is quick, but I’ve found my signal strength to be poorer than the viewty (and I don’t always receive texts until I unlock the touch screen - very annoying!). I cannot give it an average rating when it gets so many small things you take for granted, wrong. It will be getting returned.
