Samsung Galaxy Ace
The Samsung Galaxy Ace is a smart-looking Android phone with a larger-than-average 3.5 inch display, a decent 800 MHz processor, and a good camera. Other highlights include GPS with Google Maps, high-speed internet and Wi-Fi. But its battery life and reliability are questionable, and it can't compete against the best Android phones.

Samsung Galaxy Note
With a 5.3 inch HD screen and a stylus, the Samsung Galaxy Note is a cross between a PDA-style phone and a tablet. Powered by a dual-core 1.4GHz processor & 64GB of memory, it also has an 8 megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording for all-round media prowess. Great for games, media and all kinds of apps.

An Android phone with awesome capabilities, the HTC One X is probably the best smartphone currently available. With an incredible 4.7 inch HD screen, the world's first quadcore processor, an 8 megapixel camera with full HD video recording and fantastic Beats Audio sound quality, the One X really is the ultimate phone.

HTC Wildfire S
The upgrade to the hugely-popular Wildfire, the Wildfire S is a budget Android smartphone with a premium metallic body, an uprated touchscreen display, 5 megapixel camera, Android Gingerbread, GPS with Google Maps and access to over 100,000 apps from the Android Market. It compromises on processor speed, memory and battery power, but it's still one of the best of the lower-priced Android phones.

Samsung Galaxy Mini
The Samsung Mini is a compact smartphone, even though the word "Mini" seems to be an exaggeration. There's lot's here to like, including the Android 2.2 operating system with access to apps from the Android Market, GPS with Google Maps, Samsung's user-friendly TouchWiz interface, a music player and an FM radio with RDS. The hardware is impressive too: a powerful 600MHz processor, fast 3G HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Only the battery life lets it down. Available in Black, Silver or White.

Apple iPhone 4S
Although it looks just like the iPhone 4, inside are lots of improvements. A dual-core processor makes the phone run ever so smoothly, and we love the voice-activated Siri intelligent assistant. A new dual antenna eliminates the reception problems that plagued the iPhone 4. Other goodies include an 8 megapixel camera, now with full 1080p HD video recording, plus the new iOS 5 operating system and iCloud. It's expensive, but you do get an amazing phone.
